I pulled down the window, put my hand out there and gave him a thumbs up. He sped up to align with us, we looked at each other and he was smiling like a little kid, appreciating the compliment. Then he sped up to show us the power of that thing and it made me smile. It's also a nice thing to know that you made someone else smile, who knows how his day was like. Maybe he really needed that.
20 years later, the kid became a famous bike racer and during an interview he says: "I'd like to say thank you to the man who let me check out his bike when I was a kid. He sparked my joy for all of this."
Thanks for being kind to him . He’s gonna remember that for the rest of his life . I’ve had similar experiences as a child and when I think of the moments it makes me smile knowing there’s cool people out there !
The kid will never forget this moment. Even if he ends up being a professional biker when he grows up he will never forget this moment. Wish the world was filled with more moments like these..
I try to be the super cool uncle for my 5Yo nephew. We all need the cool uncle growing up someone to talk to that's not dad. And to show them fun times.

Hell, just driving to work earlier today, there were 3 kids (looked about10-14) that were driving a golf caddy on the sidewalk with their adult in the backseat. It's good to broaden the horizons of anyone, assuming those horizons are not the obvious avoiders (drugs for example)
@Ian Novak I think we're both saying the same thing here, the only difference is I wouldn't limit anyone from transportation options, which is fine. If my kid wanted to ride a motorcycle, atv, caddy, or car, I'd look into how they handle it and keep an eye on them every step of the way until I was comfortable they knew what they were doing. Also, look up a "trike" it's the closest thing to a car a motorcycle has gotten thus far and personally I think they're really cool. A lot safer than the two wheeled ones, to be sure.

I remembered my uncle that passed away used to have a motorcycle, and everytime he came to the house to visit he would let me rev the bike and pretend I'm driving, happiest days of my life.

Never doubt God, which I'm pretty sure it's a sin if you do. God does not hate us, he loves us no matter what sin people commits. That's is why he created the Sacrament of Confession. So, that we can get closer to God through that Sacrament. God sent his only beloved son Jesus Christ to the world to die on the cross for our sins. So, that we all can enter The Kingdom of Heaven to live for eternity with him. Which is also why he loves us. Read the Holy Bible and live according to the Word of God. Which also makes good things happen in life through God.
