"The Hub" is the best name the channel ever had tbh. The "Hub" era was also the most fun, sure a lot of their shows were toy commercials, but I'd rather watch those than the documentaries and reality shows they play now. It's a shame MLP and Transformers Prime were they only shows of theirs that took off, they had a lot of potential. Miss those Atomic Betty reruns though. Those were the best.
@@medora2499 Discovery Kids on NBC I remember watching on Saturday mornings when I was younger. My first exposure to it was in the fall of 2002, and I enjoyed it until 2006 when it was replaced with QUBO.
@Medora: In my opinion, the rebrand from Hub to Hub Network was actually more of a facelift rather than a complete rebrand as in addition to the overall style at the time being updated, the Hub part of the name of the channel was retained, just the name was slightly extended.
And now, thanks to new owner WB Discovery, they’re now airing mostly WB stuff from Cartoon Network and Boomerang including “Smurfs”, “Baby Looney Tunes”, “Sylvester & Tweety Mysteries” (which came from Kids WB), and of course, “Looney Tunes” where they ran vintage WB shorts to the schedule as of recently including my favorite Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Porky Pig, and others to the lineup. Good move, Discovery Family.

Discovery Kids takes me to 2010 when my mom, brother, and I were living with....honestly im not sure who he was, maybe a family friend or mom's at the time boyfriend (not a damn clue) and his daughter. In this house there was a basement and we had a tv down there, my brother and the daughter were the same age (around 13 at that point) and I was 6. I remember sometimes before school, we would watch tv down there and frequently watched Discovery Kids. The show i remember the most on there was a show called Boys vs Girls: Trading Spaces (although I couldn't remember the 2nd part of the name for years until i finally came across the show again on youtube earlier this year). I also remember Hip Hop Harry quite well. I really enjoyed the Hub, my favorites were of course MLP (which i still love to this day) and Family Game Night (I just liked it a lot im unsure why) and I remember playing the games on the website. Sadly i can no longer watch the network because it is with the premium channels which we haven't had since around 2017/2018. Thankfully all the shows i liked are at least somewhat available on youtube and some on other streaming services. I also recall a short lived singing competition show called Majors and Minors. I came across it again a few years ago as the first episode is on youtube.
I watched the hub around 2010-2013 I just remember waking up on a Saturday morning to turn on the TV and just watch the hub. ( not sure if others know this but they apparently was airing animaniacs at some point. Around 2013 or 2014)
I am most familiar with Discovery Kids on NBC. I remember watching that block on Saturday mornings when I was younger. I remember shows like Kenny the Shark, Trading Places: Boys vs. Girls, Scout's Safari, Croc Files, Tutenstein, Strange Days at Blake Holsey High, Darcy's Wild Life, and Time Warp Trio.

The Hub and Discovery Kids is what I grew up with. I feel like that was inevitable due to the decline of cable. It's a shame to see amazing shows of yester year replaced by modern garbage. Now granted all new shows are not bad. But a lot of em are.
You should do a revisited video about it because of the recent Warner Bros. Discovery merger. Which brought Discovery Family now under 60% under Cartoon Network.
