Fore you hammock try Caribbeaners or soft shackles on the tree end of straps. This allows you to hook to one tree and walk to the other without unhitching your straps. It makes it less likely to lose you tree straps. :)
@@zzlee14 thanks
Nice trip. Thank you for sharing and wishing you all the best 😊
Thank you for watching !!
Nice one, ay.e the midge are out. Handy wee bit of fishing gear, like a fancy hobo reel👍🏴🏕🎣👌
Cheers colin aye thats ecxatly what it is a fancy hobo reel. Thanks for watching mate ATB. Sam🏴🏴
Nice one Sam, that scenery and spot is stunning, reminds me of days in Scotland when I used to live there, hanging out by the river with my parents.
@@BurtonOutdoors thanks lee its a cracking forest, if your ever back up scotland give me a shout mate !!
Nice one. Was itching watching the ticks, I’ve had about 40 this season, looking forward to winter 😂 That’s what it’s all about, few beers too 👍🍺 Cheers, Fraser.
@@cowalexplorer thanks for watching mate much appreciated. Ive not been out much this summer the weather has been utter pish this year cant imagine were going to get a good winter. Cheers. Sam
@@haggishunteroutdoors hopefully winter will be drier ! The shorter days are a nightmare though.

@@haggishunteroutdoors 100% mate
What a cracking spot that is 👌🏻
I've had a few ticks myself this year, their everywhere! That hand reel is a cracking wee bit of kit too! Cracking camp! I enjoyed that, cheers sam!
@@CraigLinton. thanks craig its much appreciated. Aye its a wee hidden gem. Im gutted i didnt catch anything but want to catch something this year cheers for watching mate ATB
@@haggishunteroutdoors Try a wee fly on the line instead of a big lure. Probably have more luck with it. I don't fish rivers it's more sea fishing I'm into.
@@CraigLinton. would you put a float on with a fly or justbthe fly ?
@@haggishunteroutdoors probably just a floating fly.
@@CraigLinton. cheers i will try it mate !!
Hello from Canada!! Absolutely love the video! We always camp in the Canadian Rockies 🏔⛰and to see the different terrain you camp in is so fascinating.. will definitely keep watching your videos!!
Thanks very much. Canada is my dream place to go, have you got a channel ?
@@haggishunteroutdoors No I don't aha, not sure if its really my thing. Camping in the mountains in British Columbia is the place you want to go... absolutely breathtaking.
Great camp and video Sam. For some reason UA-cam had unsubscribed me, I have rice it now though. I have never used a hand reel before so can't give you any tips, river fishing is always harder though get yourself next to a loch and fish with a leger next time
Dont worry about it mate its kool. Thanks for watching and i know im going to get a permit for a loch n just take my rod. ATB mate
@@haggishunteroutdoors I will DM you mate
Those hand reels arnt easy mate.. definitely try a deeper pool next time, leave a hand line in with worm and check on it every now and then. Wild trout on the fire is hard to beat! Nice camping!
@@BareBonesCamping thanks mate i will do im dying to catch one !!
@@haggishunteroutdoors I've had good success at night time leaving the rod out, when they feel confident to move into shallow parts of river. I'm wanting to try and ice fishing rod for this, I assume with split shot weights it'll cast far enough haha
Enjoyed this mate , watched it all , well chilled camp , your brave with no midge net but 👍🏕
@@OUTDOORALLY cheers ally much appreciated !!
