Some Fishermen Are Not Very Nice (Middle Tennessee Fishing)
Вставка

- Did you know that some fishermen are not very nice? Even here in middle Tennessee you will come across people who talk down to you, or act like they know everything about fishing, and you don't know anything. It is all over in the fishing community. All I had to do was say that the winter fishing isn't good here in middle Tennessee and people were calling me a Yankee, giving me bizarre advice... and indirectly blaming me for the terrible fishing around here. One person told me not to come to their town and talk %$#@. What? Luckily I am starting to catch bluegill again, but no trout or bass. All I can say is that not all fishermen are friendly. Fish at your own risk.

Yikes - most people that watch Realistic Fishing know that Realistic Fishing isn't the problem. Complaining about weather doesn't mean your town sucks. What the hell? I wish all Yankee transplants loved TN as much as he does.
Thanks jesflow 😀
Same thing here in Arkansas
Some people aren't happy unless they're making someone else unhappy.
This Friday I met the manager of the TWRA Trout stocking program and I told him that trout fishing this year is absolutely horrible. One guy from the crowd told me to use trout magnet. But yeah, there is a dozen of deuchebags that talk to the trout fishery people and know exactly the hour and the place of every stocking and line up like beggars right below the truck for every stocking. This is what trout fishing in TN has been reduced to.
I think I'll pass....
There's people like that here too. I went to watch the stocking and there were these goobers trying to catch them before the truck even left. Very cringe.
In my area, the lake (pond actually) is closed for 2 weeks each spring. That's when they stock the trout.
Try going after wild rainbows in small streams.
Can't put trout magnet on a 3 wt fly rod. I'm glad!
Chattanooga report here again today. Broke my 2 week drought and finally caught a solid 2lb spotted bass today on a live shiner!
Your one of my favorite fishing channels, keep doing your thing man! 🤙🏽
Just a sign of the times, years ago some of the most friendly people you could meet would be on the water.
Your videos are great, and we all appreciate them. Don’t listen to the jerks.
Its been two years of bad weather year round...you are right ...the fishing has fallen off ...horrible heat followed by horrible droughts...and this winter 5 weeks of super cold. I still go because I float rivers and its a fun day even if the fishing is off...but... the fish have been suffering the past few years. Thanks for the videos...helps a lot when stuck indoors!!!
Thanks for keeping it realistic 👍
I haven’t been fishing for so long that three inch bluegill looks really good to me.
For bait imo.
You’ve inspired me to go fishing for the first time in over ten years
Seems like we’re all struggling till that water temp starts rising more
Nope, all my fault because of where I am from 😅
Too bad it's going to drop again next week.
I just moved back to Illinois, and I'm chomping at the bit to get back on the water in my kayak. Everything is still frozen solid, even after several days of 40+ (and rain) and one day in the 60 degrees. I would love to catch a 3" Bluegill right now!! LOL
And water levels.
Live in KY, I feel your pain.@@V45hTh3Stamp3d3
Hey Alex, you are the only UA-cam fisherman I'm subscribed to. I appreciate your no nonsense approach and raw assessments. I've picked up several pointers from you over the years. I'm always open for advice. Some people are just miserable humans. From a fellow Illinoisan to another, you are always welcome back home. There will always be a space for you at my spot. Keep it Realistic! YEET!
Proud to be that one fisherman you are subscribed to 😎
I was born in Tennessee and i say welcome we all aint like that i think most of us where raised to welcome people some people are just never happy so you do you i love the channel!
Thanks 👊
Some ppl are just mean - thank you for always keeping the content realistic 😁
Mean people exist and that's realistic
I'm a native Tennessean Alex and love your channel. Glad you're here man. That was a decent accent too. You had the right amount of twang.
😅
The heck with those guys !!! I have been watching your channel for years, and it’s great ! You do a great job and I have always loved your channel! Keep it Realistic!
Springfield is where "they're eating the cats and dogs" isn't it ?
😅
Way to let everyone know your a dumbazz
👍 and thank you for slugging it out, both on the bank and in the comments.
Some people just aren’t happy unless they are being rude. Great video Alex.
Ignore those keyboard clowns. A true fisherman has much more respect. Fish on! 🎣
Some just want to be left tf alone cupcake
I enjoy watching my friend Alex 🙏🏻 ❤
I appreciate it River Rat 👍
I feel like I can watch any vid and you get me into the fishing mood ❤
Good luck out there 👊
I love being able to recognize the spots you fish. It makes it more Realistic. Im struggling big time. Cant catch anything
#realistic
I live here and have fished Old Hickory for over 24 years. You're more than welcome here ! - in fact it was partly due to your channel that I got back out on the water instead of drinking my life away. Keep up the good work brother and don't let the basterds hold you down.
I'm glad you are fishing again! 👍
I like how every armchair angler has some kind of magic rig, magic bait, specific time of day, whatever unhelpful advice that they would have would definitely have them hitting their limits in your body of water. This is just what fishing colder times of the year is like from the bank. Lucky to catch bluegills most of the time, every once in awhile you can get a nice fish on a warmer day.
You out keeping it realistic bro, all respect too you Alex. Don't let them haters get to you .
Keep fishing and sharing these videos
Thanks for the video. Yeah this winter fishing does suck.
Don’t mind the haters. Keep doing what you’re doing. Great channel.
It's still fun to get out and give it a try! Thanks for sharing Alex!
Ok I'm jealous !! Glad to see a few fish caught ! Great video thanks for sharing.
You do know your lakes. It's fun to catch anything this early.
Some people are not very nice, you keep on sharing your videos, you are appreciated from here in NW AL....
I love the idea of watching a fishing video from someone who’s been making fishing videos for years, then trying to teach the video creator how to fish. And in Illinois right now a half dozen tiny bluegill in open water sounds great to me
They admit to watching only one or two videos and then proceed to teach me how to fish. bonkers
You are catching fish, while I'm saying "gee, I wish I could catch fish." LOL
I enjoyed the content and effort. Thumbs up video.
Wow!! The audacity of some people! It truly gets annoying when you have know it alls telling you how to fish especially since you've only been doing it for yrs!! Smh. But glad to see you catching a few three inchers!! As always Alex, thank you for always keeping it realistic 😊
You caught a lot of fish!! That always beats going out and not catching anything!! Great video! Thanks for Sharing !!!
I went today and only caught 1 3 inch blue gill was out there 1 hour!! You definitely out fished me today.
Here in Middle Georgia it's not a whole lot better at my favorite spot this time of year. Mostly what I'm getting is what you're showing there, 3 inch bgs, lol ... I have been getting some 4 and 5 inchers (fish sticks!) and the occasional 'chunky' 6 incher. The past month or two, zero catfish hits, but this Monday, as evening crept in, the small cats were back! When I say small, there wasn't one bigger than 7 inches in the bunch. I caught and tossed back half a dozen before the bite dropped back off to non-existent after an hour or so. My guess is they temporarily migrated to deeper water. Hopefully the big ones will be catchable from the banks again soon. I mix it up and alternate between nightcrawlers, red worms, garlic hotdog chunks and raw bacon. Hope some better weather swings your way!
You are doing so well Alex. Don't listen to those other folks. I'm still waiting for ice to melt here in Kansas so I can fish for crappie at my dad's boat slip at the marina and then hopefully be able to start getting my boat out soon after to chase some bass. Those guys with those stupid comments don't watch your videos!
You are correct. They watch 2 minutes, decide they hate me and leave some trash comment.
Wait. So you’re telling me there’s a right and a wrong way to relax and fish? Gotta love the internet trolls. Obviously they weren’t raised right.
Always enjoy your stuff Alex 👍🏼🎣. Keep on Keeping It Realistic
Screw those guys Alex, there's one in every crowd. Now that you have over 100k subscribers, your crowd is bigger and you'll run into more of them.
The good news about all of those panfish is you know they had a good spawn and it's a healthy lake.
The channel wouldn't be as successful as it is without some idiots complaining about something. I enjoy all the content. Thank you!!! KiR!!!
If you ever come to my neck of the woods, give me a shout, and I'll fish with you! I live in Kansas. I haven't been fish since last year. However, a 30-pound blue catfish is a great closing note! Small fish are fun to catch as well. Have you ever used slipfloats? They can be adjusted to really deep and not affect casting distance. Bank fishing can be really harrd during the cold months. You have a new sub! Great video and keep up the good work!
Yes I have used slip floats, and like to use them for deeper water when casting becomes a chore.
Some people are just ignorant in general! Have a great day, my friend.
I'm sure none of those native Tenneseeans never complain about the weather. 🙄 Thanks for keeping it realistic, good weather and bad. Some days you just have to be grateful the 3 inch bluegill are biting.
Alex don’t listen to those morons. People that really fish winter conditions know how difficult and frustrating it can be. I’ve been following you for 7 or 8 years. You definitely know what you’re doing and make it very interesting. Keep it realistic my friend.
I am just the messenger. They mad though...
Doing great for shore fishing in mid-TN this time of year.
i will never forget one time, i had three cat fishing rods out and i live in alabama so its very legal.... then these bass fishermen were geting to close and i was like "hey man i got some cat fishing stuff out there i dont want your trolling motor wraping up in it" the guy smiled and waved and said ok so i thought okay well they will go around.. nah his dumbass goes right thru the middle of all of them snatching my rods upi grabed all three and cut the lines... his trolling motor got busted, then he had the audacity to yell at me.. i told him he was a blind idiot... the rods were flourescent easy to see.. the line was HOT ORANGE color easy to see.. thats why its a meme that bass fishermen are the most obnoxious.
The water is still pretty cold. The fish are moving slow just like me. It seems like they are pretty deep here in southeast Missouri. The fishing will definitely definitely get better. Don't pay attention to the haters.
HAHA, if they took at least 15min to look at your old videos. They would find out you know how to fish. But don't give those weak ass haters any run time. They are too busy shacking up with their cousins to even get out and try to fish!
😂
You didn't get skunked. That is always a win for me from shore right after the ice goes out in MN.
Man if you were trying to catch live bait for big bass or catfish, you would have killed it. Those were all perfect size. Keep doing what you enjoy and take care.
Love your videos Alex know matter what. Those bluegill would make some excellent Catfish bait. God bless buddy.
I didn’t know you was from Illinois :-) I knew I liked you for some reason 😜
😉
"u just got lucky by the ramp, if you were using the rit bait da first spot was purfect" - Some Keyboard Warrior, Probably
😂 sounds about right
No fish without an ice auger here. 😂 Ice fishing is going strong. I don’t ice fish.
It’s the Attack of the Three Inch Bluegills!! Ignore all the assholish comments Alex, you are the Man!!
💪
Whoever has a problem with you has a problem with me keep up the amazing work!! Haters are gonna hate!
It’s even worse in the Facebook fishing forums for local waterways. Some of them have taken to posting photos of them with their catch photoshopped in front of a blue screen with a fake background so you can’t “poach” their spot. They also trash people who don’t do that for “ spot burning” . What ya gonna do. I’m gonna get out here shortly and catch sone fish, that’s what I’m gonna do
Sorry man. As a native Tennessean, I hate that people have been like that. I enjoy your content and tips!
People have lost the ability to keep their mouth shut.
Thanks for being nice 👍
That's definitely fishing in late winter, it's why I'm waiting for spring, I wanna try out a surf rod on at the dam I go to for more casting distance, I would love to get some more fish that way as I noticed people who do have better luck. Can't wait. 👍
KIR and don’t be a Dic 🍻
🥉 Is that too much to ask?
@ no 🍻
As a Tennessean you're always welcome as long as you're fishing lol. There's no wrong way to fish homie!
haters gonna hate, love your content!
Keep your head up and keep fishing, also not telling you how to fish but the tree to the left of the boat ramp looks like a good spot to hit.
Its great come spring time! I catch bass there
Thank you for posting. The fishing is never much good at this time of year. The haters are always going to hate, can't change that they wouldn't have anything to do.
Be time for a crankbait or brushhog before we know it.
I can't wait!
@ I hear ya brother.
it do be like that, one can forever refrain from sharing or posting anything to avoid the displaced bridge trolls, but that would mean people that love your content would miss out too
The wont stop me 💪
In a very realistic way... people who bitch about life make me grateful I'm not them ... I thank guys that are complainers, makes my day.
lol you are doing the best you can man its ok . and there's not a Dam thing in Illinois worth coming back for believe me lol but it was 60 today
I mean the Italian beef sandwich is pretty damn good!!!
Don't tell the haters that this so-called "Yankee" is looking to move to Tennessee so he can fish more often. 🤷♂️
😅
Hey man I really love and appreciate your videos and the realness of it all-don’t listen to the asshats and before any asshats come at me yes I have my own UA-cam channel about fishing and outdoor stuff so yes just like Alex I keep it realistic,I caught some mini monster cats on a worm from the bank-imagine that!
Nice! I found a good panfishing spot..the bass are in a funk here in FL...The water temperature has been up and down...Just keep your hater blockers on..your channel is awesome 👌
yea man you re not wrong. thats why i stay to my self and dont mess with people
After 3 weeks here in Chattanooga I was finally able to get some decent bass this past weekend. I used some shinners but I had a can of red worms just in case lol. I ve been fortunate that my videos haven't had negative comments but I know they're coming. Just gotta keep it realistic
It's almost hellgrammite season in the valley, good fishing will be back soon...
yes!
@RealisticFishing I spent a lot of time in Colorado, but the BEST trout fishing I ever saw was at Burrells Ford campground, Sumter National Forest, South Carolina. Right on the North Carolina border. Brown trout longer than my arm, speckled, brook, and rainbows. Those big ones are hard to catch without a fly rod, but great fishing, up and down the foothills trail, accessible from the campground.
those 3 inch gills were perfect bass bait and legal to use since caught on a hook. Freeline a gill under that dock next time and hold on...
its winter and the water is 42 degrees, no bass under that dock yet 😉
That means they acknowledge and like you! (Southern interpretation.)
People who grew up in the Kentucky Tennessee area think foreigners make fishing horrible when they kept every fish. Had to deal with the old hillbillies complaining about it, luckily I had light skin.
Those people are just lonely sad and frustrated people… ignoring is a big punishment for them…
I think people forget the main thing here and that is you're out here fishing and having fun. I dont understand the negativity like what does where youre from have to do aith fishing? I do love fishing for panfish with red worms on ultralight tackle. The only advice i would offer is take the bobber off and fish on the bottom or close to it. I dont use bobbers when fishing for panfish but thats just me. All i know is you're out enjoying a day if fishing and theres nothing better...I do wish people would be more understanding...
Sometimes I fish it on the bottom with a Realistic Rig, but the concrete at the bottom of the boat ramp is extremely snaggy
Hey Alex, you got into the fish and the so called teachers haven't. To hell with them keep it Realistic and keep on catvhing!
4:25 impressed with that accent. Not bad there, Yank.
ke-YUCK!
A handful of bluegill at least! Fishing has been non existent around here, wind and cold with one good day lately... KIR!
Fishing is very inviting to all, unfortunately a few mean and nasty folks come in, but thank goodness there are many more kind and gentle folks in fishing.
Appreciate ya taking the time and effort to make this video Alex!!! I get TONS of bad comments about my southern accent on my videos a lot unfortunately 😢 they misspell words on purpose like they think i say them etc. It's ashame that they do that to other fishermen!!! On a brighter note...i sent ya a fishing invite if you have time to meet up
They will find anything to criticize you about. Thats what mean people do, and children.
@RealisticFishing agreed 👍 I hate it when they spell bass this way....baaaaaayyyyyuuuussss that's how they say I'm pronouncing it!!! Crazy stuff!!!! My least favorite thing they poke fun at me is the word colors!! They accuse me of pronouncing it collars!! I hate that!! They will tell me...that fish doesn't have a collar on!! Super stressful 😫 😩 for me
As a “quote on quote” yankee who did not ask my parents to move here. All of you name callers and bullies are what’s made it hard to even exist here. I’m moving back soon after I finish this semester it’s gonna be such a relief. It’s pure hatred and insecurity people have careers that force them to move fishing is one of the only things keeping me sane I hope all these idiots learn how to treat people like human beings and not make fishing a dick measuring contest. Thank you.
Piss on the haters . Keep doing what you do . I like it. KIR
Ignore the haters and fish on.
I agree. People can be jerk and be disrespectful. Just because they are online.
How do people know when they are going to stock trout? In Colorado, you can kinda tell by past stocking reports but they don’t tell you in advance. I really appreciate you!
There is an online schedule here in TN
@@RealisticFishing same here in Illinois
Alex, fishing surely becomes frustrating when nothing bites, and makes us happier than piggies in mud when a potbellied bass takes the bait and well, realistically, enjoy catching whatever takes the bait. There's no right or wrong when it comes to fishing. Well, maybe it's wrong to not go when the opportunity presents itself. Tight lines ----- there's better days ahead.
Yankee- comes and visits
Damn yankee- comes and stays
Welcome to the south and tight lines and good luck fishing
Damn Yankee, here by the grace of God
@ welcome my friend I don’t know why people can’t just respect each other and enjoy fishing and being outdoors
@ also Cane Creek park in Cookeville has a nice lake that TWRA comes out to and sticks with trout in January if you are ever looking for some winter fishing
Good video Alex, just keep being you🤛👍
Worms is a damn fine bait
They are starting to switch on now again. They are over here as well. Thing is like you say, the weather, rain, temperatures all affect fishing. But you knew where they would be and when you moved you were on them. KIR
Tell um you're local, but you went up north for your education, tell um how it was TWO experiences they will never have... Travel and education.
😅
Great video my brother, I always enjoy them! And for the keyboard thugs, oh well, they just like to yap! But thank you for being real and as always, Thanks for Keeping It Realistic!!
Fishing on, despite the keyboard warriors 👍
That should show all the mean people said you dont know how to fish. You knew it was winter, and the concrete slab would warm up. Even if it was only a few degrees warmer. And it attracted fish whether small or not in the winter any fish is good
Yes sir
You do you Alex. Fuck all these people criticizing you. Surprisingly to me, the last week I've been catching nice sized bluegill on a Rebel Crickhopper using it as a top water bait. Just teasing it a bit so it moves a little. Amazing, they bit it! Yea, some were 3 inch but many were 6-8 inches. Too much fun on my ultralight. I'm thinking this is happening cause winter in lower Alabama is practically over. Take care and KIR my friend.
I would like to visit AL one of these days. I miss that coastal fishing on vacation
@@RealisticFishing I remember the episodes you did while vacationing in Gulf Shores. You were catching them on the pier and having a good time. KIR.
