I welcome you all to my channel Hodophile 🙏.Today is the starting of day#1.we started our trip on 1.28pm & reached on 1.50pm.After a long gap I saw the BBSR Railway station & I found it was so unclean as this BBSR railway st is expanding and making all new.
We went to Howrah by Bande Bharat express on 4.51pm.we had booked our ticket on Phalaknuma but the train was too late so finally we booked our ticket in Bande Bharat express.
Guys for the very first time I travelled in Bande Bharat express.This is an interesting city semi high speed rail.This Bande bharat express has 2types of services innit.
We went to Howrah in AC chair car,which runs less than 800 km but in Executive AC car you will be facilitated with rotating chairs,electric outlet,cctv camera,reading light,auto doors,bio vaccum toilets,sensor based water taps.passenger information system,luggage storing place.Beside that it has proper fooding facility with choice of foods(veg & non veg)
Right now 66 Bande bharats are running on Indian track.
The first Bande bharat express ran from New delhi to Banaras.
Before reaching in Howrah i must tell you all a brief knowledge abt the Kolkata city.
Right now we call this city as Kolkata".The name Calcutta comes from a village named Calcutta.There were 3 primary villages in kolkata.they are named as-Calcutta,Sutanati & Govindpur.In Calcutta ppl use to catch dishes and later sell them in a bigger market .
Sutanati was a weaving village and Govindpur is a trading point in which ppl use to come & sell their products.These 3 villages were under zamindar Sarbana roy but he sold all these 3villages to the East Indian company in 1690.
Later Calcutta came under the reign of nawab of Bengal & he started to rule for some years.The nawab of Bengal had given license to East Indian company & when power of nawab become abolished the Britishers took Calcutta under their control & in 1773 they made Calcutta the HQ of East Indian company & made Calcutta the capital of the nation.
The Britishers made 2town in Calcutta that is white town & the other one is Black town.
White town belongs to the Britishers while Black town belongs to Indians.At that Calcutta started its growth in jute & textile industries but Britishers did not feel safe in Calcutta so they shifted the capital from Calcutta to New Delhi in 1911.
Guys the name Calcutta was given by Britishers but indian govt changed the name to Kolkata in 2001.
Rightnow Kolata is the capital of West Bengal.This is the financial & commercial hub of eastern India.This city is located on the banks of Hooghly river.This is the 7th most populous city in India .ppl often calls this city as"city of joy
City of passion,city of castles,the rainbow city or the cultural capital of India .
After partition Kolkata is divided into 2different countries .One is east bengal &the other one is west bengal .east bengal is known as"Bangladesh".
The economy of Kolkata started to grew after1990 when Indian economy becomes an open economy and in 2000 when many IT companies stated to make their own companies in the city.
Kolkata has its own municipality corporation which is known as "KMC".Kolkata is divided into 4parts
-Eastern kolkata
-Central kolkata
-Northern Kolkata & Southern Kolkata
Northern Kolkata is the oldest part of Kolkata.Dum dum is located in Northern Kolkata .RBI ,post office, Calcutta High court
is located in North Kolkata .
There is a maidan in Kolkata which is known as lungs of Kolkata.Naidan is located in south kolkata .besides that you can see greter kolkata in which there are 2 beautiful towships-bidhan nagar and Raja ra haat.UCO & Bandhan Bank's HQ located Kolkata.
In Kolkata where you can see 80% ppl speak Bengali &they belong to Bengali hindu community .bengali muslim,marwari & bihari ppl are considered as "minorities..As this is a metro city where you can see rest of the ppl belong to many othrt religion wheather it may be Christian,jain or Buddhists.
Kolkata has good public transport system.It hassu urban railway which is the 2nd biggest railway network in India &it has the 2nd biggest road network. Beside that it has Kolkata metro,tram ,yellow meter taxies and yatri saathi facilities for tourists.
The road network in Kolkata has an international connectivity where it connects to Dhaka,Bhutan,Mynamar,Nepal & Thailand.
Beside yellow taxies we there you can see cycle rickshaw & hand pulled rickshaw are there.
And yes guys if you want to visit Kolkata you can reach the city through train or flight .If you are reaching in flight then you have to reach in netaji subhash chandra bose international airport which is located in Dumdum.
There is good education system in west bangal which is based on west bengal state secondary education system.
