- On January 7th, 2022, we set out to the Western Maryland Scenic Railroad to catch their iconic ex-C&O 2-6-6-2 Mallet #1309 as she pulls her first excursions for the Railroad's 2023 excursion season. My favorite whistle of all time.
It is a good one
That whistle is the be all, end all of whistles, the operator deserves some credit also.
Where has that whistle been all this time! 👏. The Ts-1 Longbell Is her Rightful whistle
That Southern TS-1 Longbell 3 Chime on 1309 reminds of 2716, 1522, 610 and 611!
Excellent coverage my dear friend, greetings From Bangladesh 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Thanks for watching
Great catches and video
Thank you!
You're welcome
Wmsr 1309 has a longbell 3 chime whistle
Nice video! What whistle was the 1309 wearing?
A Longbell 3 Chime off of a Southern Ts-1 I believe
That's what it sounded like. Probably in honor of George Walker, along with the flags.
@@railfan6116 I believe the flags are in honor or Mr. Walker. That Southern 3 Chime was put on #1309 the last week of the Polar Express runs before Christmas.
Ok, thanks
Nice video. Awesome whistle. Would you happen to know why black flags were placed on the engine's pilot?
They were in honor of George Walker who recently passed.
@@ITrooper089Productions Oh okay. I'm sorry to hear about his passing. Thoughts and prayers to his friends, family and those who knew him.
611 whistle 🤨
No, Southern Longbell presumably from a Ts-1 Mountain type
@@jessdatheturdle6602 oh 🙂
