My hex receiver is an unusual one. It was made in Izhevsk in 1927, and is what is known as a Modernized Dragoon. It also was recently converted to sniper configuration has the correct PU sniper conversion parts (even though none of these converted Dragoon rifles were used as sniper weapons.) The reason I bought it however was it's SA proof mark on the receiver ring. This means it was captured by the Finns during WW2 and was acquired by one of two means: ransacked from a arms depot, or pried from the hands of a dead Soviet Soldier. It's super loud and I love shooting it.
I Love Your WW1 & WW2 Guns That You Shoot in Your Videos Especially The Mosin Nagant M1891/30 Bolt Action Rifle. The SVT-40 Semiautomatic Rifle. The PPSh-41 Submachine Gun. The DP-27/28 Light Machine Gun. And The TT-33 Pistol.
My Mosin was made in 39, wild to see how much less beat up yours is being made just 4 years later. It's a great gun and super fun to shoot, even if the recoil leaves a bruise on my shoulder for two weeks after firing ten rounds. Any tips on how to disassemble for proper cleaning? The screws on mine feel like they're glued into place, I assume with cosmoline. Would I need to contact a gunsmith for that?
Yo, it'd be cool if you could get your hands on a Hanyang Type 88 Chinese rifle. Its seriously underrated and unknown to the western society on firearms
Fun fact : The mosin Nagant was So Cheap than his Bolt Can Remove By his self the Ammo Clip , This is why is Removed With the band and not with the bolt like the gewehr 98 , Smle *** , etc
Nope, original PUs were better made and “hand fitted”, I’m lucky enough to own an original one. Bought it for 400$ few years back. Cheers from Czech Republic and sorry about my English.
The stripper clip is upside down lol that’s why it has problems being inserted it need to have the flat side up and the rounds pointing up at the bottom it makes the clip go in easier
Where did you learn that trick with lifting the top round in the stripper clip to leverage the rest of the cartridges in the bottom? I haven't personally shot one of these but I heard loading with stripper clips is terrible. Looks like a good trick to know.
Tbh I saw that in the game Red Orchestra Osfront 41-45 and then I started to do research on how to properly load stripper clips, and in fact that was the easiest way to insert them into the mosin nagant and the Svt-40

Such an informative pair of videos.
Wooden guns look the best imo, always wanted one.
Beautiful rifle. Looks like the first few rounds are some corrosive Russian/Soviet surplus ammo. Mine was also made in 1943, but is Finnish.
91/30 with a hex receiver nice

I was thinking the same thing when I bought it!
Awesome shooting 👏 what year ? Tula
Thank you, it was made in 1943.
Was anyone else hoping he would shoot the satellite dish? 👀
M16 - costs like a warplane; AK-47 - costs less enough for countries which can't afford warplanes; Mosin rifle - was actually used to shoot warplanes.
The first shot sounded like it was suppressed but the suppressor just gave up and the suppression kind of just broke suppressor
