Few years back i was assistant to a wealthy pen artist and within the short period i worked with him i observed that he had quite a chunk of investment everywhere, stocks, crypto, dividend investing to name a few, so he had revenues coming in from all angles. And in a year his worth doubled. With this i learned that the rich stay rich by investing.
Yeah i think i agree with this but the problem now is getting to make the right investments, Lots of people tend to lose their money while investing thereby making them lose interest and also end up discouraging other individuals around them.

Just because a sector is growing in an economy that doesn’t mean that the stocks of that sector will grow rapidly. Tourism industry, specifically airline industry which grew rapidly in 2000s didn’t really give great stock returns during the same period. This is just one example of many (perhaps one exception is tech industry). Anyways, sectoral investing is extremely risky often without the same levels of returns.

I don’t understand why we need to use Smallcase and create an Index ETF basket? While selling and rebalancing one incurs a lot of expenses which can be avoided if you use Index mutual funds.

this white shirt guy seems to me an amateur . i have watched his some explanation and he sounds somewhat very theoretical , like copying western ideas directly into india which we should not . like when he said indian market is overvalued because of buffet index but he failed to recognise india gdp doesnot represents only the formal sector but india has a large informal sector which doesnt represents in gdp . so buffet index cannot be a right parameter to check the valuation of indian market . also attrition rate in infosys , wibro is high but not in tcs . so not all IT company have high attrition

Thanks to this channel. Tanmay changed the mindset of people who think "stock market is gambling and stay away from it" to start feeling it as an investment asset which everyone needs to invest in. I wish I had done it early in my career. Nevertheless after watching your videos continuously, my interest developed towards stock market and I finally invested some amount at February. The journey started from there and I began to learn day by day. Done my own research and invested monthly. Would be glad if someone can answer this- why are people interested in investing in stocks by their own, when they can easily invest in mutual funds which are controlled by experts of the financial field. We have so many different kinds of mutual funds according to our needs. I know they take a cut out of the profit but is that the only reason. Moreover, "I AM NOOB", so plz help if someone knows the reason.
There are people with enough financial knowledge who feel they don't need the help of mutual fund managers or other portfolio management services to make them money. So they do their own research and try to get more returns than they would get if they chose a mutual fund for eg.
U r right incase u wanna invest in anything better than FD just do a SIP. Incase u feel like u can go pro after sometime and not depend on SIPs which also ttake a good cut of profit ( still better than FDs) u can try to make ur own protfolio

I mean, 1st you need to be a pro to be a self investor, hence will have to spend good amount of time in learning, then even after making my own portfolio, I will have to regularly check my stocks performance, what to sell, what to buy, etc. Is that all worth it for earning that cut of profit that otherwise the expert would keep in case of SIPs?
Expenses involved with MFs. All the mutual funds have an Expense ratio (along with other fees and charges) attached to them ranging from 1 to 2%, when you learn about the market then you realize how expensive that is. Direct investment is the best way provided you are willing to do a little research. It gives you full control over your portfolio and you save a lot of money. And the best part is that you understand the country's economy😊.

The crux is invest in monopoly companies having a good cashflow , profitable growth ,and atleast 15% roce over the yrs. By doing this u don't hsve to constantly monitor your portfolio constanlty , and u also don't have to sell any share. He provides factual evidence on how constantly churning ur portfolio can affect ur overall returns. Read that .

I maybe wrong here but tanmay think about the airlines globally .. There r less travels but in a year or two everything will come to normal so airlines can be high risk high reward .. similarly hotel ,pvr ,Inox leisure etc .... It's all upto u ,ask Anshuman bhaiya also ....

Most of his stocks are long term so monthly updates wouldn’t make sense, also the rise or drop in price could just be because of the state of the market and not necessarily cause the stock is valuable or not
On that note
Why would you make a smallcase when there are always various Mutual Funds available? Fund manager's decisions are more analytical and on point than ours i guess?
