Stephen Silver: while other professionals feel like it's their jobs and/or determination to intimidate and chase away artists from the industry in fear they'll one day be competition, Stephen looks out and stands for the little guys thank you, Mr. Silver!
you need to change the two "i's" get inspired instead of intimidated. it is a mindset that you must make the choice and be strong to pick the inspired part. it will help you grow.
I needed those words, as I was awake in the early hours with those exact thoughts and feelings racing through my head like a runaway freight train, waiting for someone to throw the switch marked 'sleep'. Nonetheless, it's incredibly helpful to hear I'm not alone in my occasional dark uncreative soup and very much appreciate your wise words! :)
THANK YOU Sooooo much for making this vid it makes me feel so much better knowing everyone goes through this and feels the same. It's weird it's coming from you too as you are the person I always compare myself to
Excellent video once again. I'm guilty of all the things you said. I sometimes feel that it's not fair that this person this or this person that and I didn't. I tend to victimize myself too much. Gotta stop.
Hi Stephen, thank you is too small for what you have shared. You have solved my problem for free and I owe you one. Someday I would like to repay you man, and well Thank you x infinity. Cheers (one of those videos that shake you from inside, slap you on face telling you to wake up)
I do wonder though, professionally speaking, shouldn't you still keep an eye on what other artists are doing so as to increase influence in your work and to learn whats selling as a style or element? adaptation of your expression to suit the times. I'm seriously needing a bit of guidance here in regards to such, being as I work as a (very) small time commissions artist and would like to pursue art in a much more serious manor-- more the real job than the supplemental income that it stands as.
All those skilled artists you are comparing yourself to, had to go through the 'pile of poop' stage, we just don't see these works! They are well hidden I suspect.
I love these 'pick me up' life coach vids. Perfect to pump me up before I lug myself to work. Thank you!
You just helped me find a light at the end of the tunnel.
I'll never be able to thank you enough, you're an awesome human being!
I had this felling too. Now I overcomed this, and when I see skilled artist I fell excited. and I draw with a sense of happiness.
