Errol Flynn was most famous for his swashbuckler movies but he also had excellent comedic timing. I love his comedies " Perfect Specimen", and "Never Say Goodbye"...

Istanbul is one of the first movies that I ever saw. All the I remember is "When I fall in love" by Nat King Cole and some very handsome man carrying some blond out of a fire. I was 3. But I still knew then that Flynn was very good looking..

Thanks. Flynn's an old favorite of mine. One of the great screen heroes. Come to think of it did he ever play a villain? Hmm was the Earl of Essex a bit of a scoundrel? He was a threat to Elizabeth. :)
@@Top10Charts3978 No, I don't think he was ever a villain. Would have been a good one, too. In 'The Private Lives of Elizabeth and Essex' he more than anything comes across as a sacrificial lamb despite his excessive ambition.

What a star! You could spend a lifetime just reliving all his movies, and enjoying a lot of Olivia De Havilland in the process. What a wonderful pair they made.

Very cool....another legend getting an expanded video. I watched a ton of his movies during a 30 day time period....it was fun...but years later....the movie titles get mixed up in my "me little brain". So my totals might not be 100% correct. Of the 50 listed...I have seen 18 of the movies or 36%. Favorites include #1 Robin Hood (of course) #2 The Sea Hawk and #3 Captain Blood. I really think Captain Blood and The Sea Hawk were heavy influences on POTC:The Black Pearl......plus you get an Orlando Bloom looking like a young Flynn. Looking at the Top 4....you and I agree on the Top 4.....now that does not happen much. Aweseome update.....liked and shared.
Hi Bruce, thanks for taking time to check out my Errol Flynn video, my dad was a big fan of this actor, Tyrone Power too. 18 out of 50 not too bad, my tally was 24 and Flora leads with 31. Yeah those pirate movies were a huge influence, so was Ty Power's The Black Swan. Good that we have a nearly similar top 5, it does happen some time. I have seen 31 Errol Flynn movies. The posters of the ones I have not seen make me hope they will become available to me. The lowest ranked film I've seen is Too Much Too Soon, and of course my highest ranked film is The Adventure of Robin Hood. Favourite movies are Robin Hood, The Sea Hawk, Captain Blood, The Dawn Patrol, Dodge City, They Died with Their Boots On, Charge of the Light Brigade, The Private Lives of Elizabeth and Essex, The Adventures of Don Juan, The Sun Also Rises (both Flynn and Power would be dead soon)Desperate Journey, Virginia City, Footsteps in the Dark, Santa Fe Trail, San Antonio, and Escape me Never.

Hi Flora, 31 out of 50 is very good, my tally is 24 maybe more, my dad was a big Flynn fan, Tyrone Power too. My favorites include - Dodge City, They Died With Their Boots On, Dawn Patrol, Don Juan, Captain Blood, The Sea Hawk and Robin Hood. the 1950's, I can't believe that he could have made more than 50 movies in only 25 yrs!
My question is where are many of them? Having watched t.v. since 1950, please don't
tell me that they were ever shown on television! Were they destroyed? Hope not! R.I.P. Errol!

I'm basically in agreement with that list. 'Silver River', 'Virginia City' and 'Santa Fe trail' are under-rated. I'm glad 'Cuban Rebel Girls' wasn't his 50th film.

To bad we can not watch all 50 in 50 days but only a few are being viewed today!!!! For shame!!! For Shame!!!! 99% of al the actors should take lesson from him and few others... Most stand in from of the camera and be them selves and not lose them selves in the character like he did!!!

Did I miss Silver City on the list co-starring Ann Sheridan? Certainly that would beat out #50.
Flynn wasn't in Silver City but he was in Silver River and that's in there at #30. Thanks for viewing.

Yes, tho there are others I'd consider for #3.
If you check out the separate video for the Top 30 it’s very different to this list...Charge was #5 for example...
