It is a great initiative by the HRD ministry. I'm a Master's student and I am really entertained by this simple but informative & qualitative discussion. Thank you so much, Sir and a special thanks to NPTEL.
A very nice introduction to plasma in terms of governing equations and characterization in terms of Debye length and applications of Plasma. Thank you.
Sir, How to calculate power of this circuit? I want to calculate power for self made tube (with length and diameter) for co2 laser, so that I can supply that much wattage to self made tube
25:30 will there be a Kb (Boltzmann constant) in the denominator i.e is Te and Ti = KbT? Also i find it surprising that for a high temp plasma the electron density is very high but the collision freq is very low. One would expect it to be other way round don't you think?

Masterpiece; thanks from Spain Professor for sharing your knowledge.
india is the place of hardworking and knowledge

Excellent lesson by an Excellent Teacher. Thank you very much. Greetings from Perú 🇵🇪
Thank u sir . This video is very use ful for me and my all friends. I am student of BRABU University
nice voice...pleasure listening... great topic
Thanks from Denmark
Excellent session .Thank you so much Sir, Special thanks to NPTEL.
excellent teacher, he's an inspiration, thank you!
An informative lecture on Introduction to Plasma.
Excellent. So clear to understand
awesome lecture...special thanx to nptel.
NYC lecture .....very informative for beginners
Excellent lecture by an Excellent Teacher.
many thanks for uploading this helpful videos
I don't deserve the intro theme song. Thank you for giving that to the world
Good lecture on plasma, thanks sir.
Thank you very much for your clear explanation
Very Informative session.
Good session on plasma Physics 🙏

Actually Ti or Te has Kb multiplied with temperature it's included.
Thank you Professor.
Excellent video
Excellent lecture
is there any lecture on quantum plasma mhd equations?
in the lab frame,is the current carried out by ions or by electrons or by both?
can you answer this question ?
very good info....
Thank you sir
Excellent lecture ...
Helpful Lecture!!!
Thank you
informative
excellent lecture. tnx
nice lectures :) thanks for these
Very helpfull
sir will you plz help in understanding quantum mhd equations
Excellent
How N_D is proportional to r^2>
Thank you so much
sir
sir i want to purchase book on plasma physics , can you tell me which one is best for me..
F CHEN OR BITTENCOURT
minor thing but don't say degrees kelvin it's just kelvin
NO...Its degree Kelvin
@@sudipghimiray2989 You should learn properly..
@@shubhamtripathi1567 Degree is not used with the Kelvin scale.
@@aytraf it just a notation and many use it . I mean standard book have degree Kelvin .
Super
formula of debye length is wrong
It's unfortunate. I think he should revisit it.
Oh is it? Serious error if true

Haha stopped watching when he said plasma is neutral for convention.. 'it gets too complicated'... ;)
plasma is effectively neutral
Quasi Neutral
excellent teacher, he's an inspiration, thank you!
Thanks Professor.
