I can’t remember the last time that I found an artist on the come-up that I knew in my bones was destined to be a legend. We’re witnessing something special. Doechii knows exactly who she is✨
Loved your reaction! I’ve been a doechii stan for a few years now and I’m glad she’s finally getting her flowers. Other Doechii tracks you should check out: PMS Crazy Yucky Blucky Fruitcake Swamp Bitches (w Rico Nasty) and her feature on Smino’s track “Profreak”
That bassist is my daughter, @zuriapplebass! Doechii is solid for sure, but those arrangements and that band is WORKING every single feel! A pleasure watching your reaction to this excellence! Her pronunciation is outrageous perfection!
Your daughter is exceptionally talented! Every time I watch this performance I’ve been like, the bass is MAKING it (along with the rest of band). She deserves all the flowers and parental pride ❤
I've said it before but Doechii is one of the artists that has gone from someone I don't know, to someone I can't believe i didn't know so fast it gave me whiplash. She is a raw, authentic, generational talent, and if I'm not mistake Kendrick said she's the hardest out there right now so...
When you said, “that’s it?!” at the end bc it was over…. I cannot stress enough that this is the first and only TDC I’ve ever looked for a reaction to, and I’ve watched probably dozens of reactions at this point bc I can *listen to this art* dozens of times without being burnt out.
It's been a while since I've come across a new artist that is unapologetically black and she has been doin just that in the most TALENTED way yet. She's a breath of fresh air for our community and I can tell she is gonna go far and become a legend 👏🏾🙏🏾 Your reaction was so good!!
'stressed' is great, and 'pro freak' featured on smino' track, so good! that's the first time heard her and became a fan! I love her 'sunday's best' video too! and of course 'alligator bites never heal' is all good! 'black girl memoir makes me cry everytime, and I am not black, I am indigenous, but that track is healing! 🙌great reaction!
I love when she's doing cat fish, at the beginning, she takes her pen, writes, and then look at what she wrote. It's a small thing...but one of my favorite parts 😃
Doechii is different for sure! You should check out her appearance on the Colbert Show, she did all of the choreography herself and I've never seen anything quite like it. Also Coast Contra dropped a new video you have to check out!
Awesome reaction! I really think Doechii is going to be one of the greats. Please react to her performance on the Late Show w/ Stephen Colbert. Its so artistic and impressive, and she was very involved in the creative process behind the scenes. Also her performance at Camp Flognaw (spell?) is fantastic. Its so cool just to watch her do her thing on stage. Her album Alligator Bites Never Heal earned her 4 Grammy nominations. Layers! So many layers!! 🔥🔥🔥
Yes!!! Let’s go! Doechii is 🔥, so artistic and an amazing performer. Bravo to every woman in the band. They were all amazing! Love this Tiny Desk Concert ❤
Good job with your commentary! Check out the new Baylor Project tiny desk that just came out. I think you’d enjoy it. A mix of jazz and gospel. They were booked here in Buffalo years ago, and they were extraordinary.
you gottaaaaa react to her project that most of these songs are on. it dropped august 30, 2024, and it’s nominated for best rap album at the grammys. 🙏🏾

I recently found Doechii when she came out with a video for Nissan Altima and have been rocking with her since. She is such a breath of fresh air.

I’ve listened to this Tiny Desk almost 100 times. Like it’s it’s own separate album.

Same!!!!
The whole performance is fire, but I have mad respect for her for giving every member of her band a moment in the spotlight at the end of this.
Great commentary! Love Doechii. Her set at Camp Flog Gnaw 24 is also impressive.

Sweet video!
That was FIRE !!!!!
Check her performance on Colbert, it was 🔥
I knew you were an artist within a few minutes of this - there’s a kind of stankface and head nod that you only see from a musician.
Check out her Camp Flog Gnaw performance or her video Spookie Coochie
Co-signing the Camp Flog Gnaw performance!
Actually Chicago is where that fast style Originated from Bone Copied the Chicago style. Of course Twista is the GOAT of that style.
Yeah ok lol
Great reaction! Could you react to Jessie Reyez feat. Lil Wayne - RIDIN plz?!? :)
Love Jessie!
