I had customized my Cal with the Windswept hairstyle + Full Beard so during the time-lapse portion of a particular cutscene, he looked so...tired. And it broke my freakin heart. 🥺
And then imagine how it must feel for Cal to know that he's now lost not one, but *two* Masters to the Empire....he lost his first Master at the Jedi Temple during Order 66, and now he's lost his second Master to Darth Vader.
The timelapse scene... The last act of this game really blew me away. It feels like the story is maturing with us. Cal has gone through trials that men older than him never have. The last game is going to really be something, i can't wait.
My gut tells me that Cal will ultimately not survive the third game though (likely with him dying at the hands of Darth Vader). Not unless he ends up doing what Ahsoka did and just goes into hiding and seclusion to elude the Empire....though in that case it could leave things open for a fourth game that takes place after the fall of the Empire where Cal could go on to join Luke's new Jedi Order as one of their first Jedi Masters....after everything Cal has survived thus far, if he lives that long it would make sense for Luke to grant him such a noteworthy position. It could even be a way to bring in other EU characters like Mara Jade & Kyle Katarn....not to mention Ben Skywalker (Luke & Mara's son) as well as Jacen, Jaina, & Anakin Solo (Han & Leia's children).
@@gamester512 He's certainly not remaining in the active Star Wars galaxy. Whether he does or not, his story will not continue past the third game. Too many plot holes if he's alive at the time of Return of the Jedi.
@@TheLeftCulprit *If* they have Cal survive for a fourth game, they could always give some indication that it's a "What-If?" scenario and that Cal "canonically" died at the end of the third game. And that could silence some issues with potential plot holes. Though one possibility that occurs to me is that if he survives the third game, he could still be left so badly wounded and injured that he can never fight again, and thus he could simply fill the role of a mentor/teacher for younger Jedi within Luke's new Jedi Order. They could find a way to make it work. Though I nonetheless fully expect Cal to end up dying at the end of the third game, either at Vader's hands, or by pulling some sort of "Heroic Sacrifice" that costs him his life but helps to pave the way for the Empire's eventual fall and collapse. Though, I suppose it's possible that if they do make a fourth game, the protagonist(s) could end up being the child(ren) of Cal & Merrin, who were either sent to Luke for training and to join his Jedi Order by Merrin herself, or they are instead detected and found by Luke who persuades Merrin (who may still survive even if Cal himself doesn't) to either let him take and train the child(ren) as the next generation of Jedi, or for Merrin and her child(ren) to all join his new Jedi Order (possibly with Luke offering Merrin the position of Jedi Master, so that she could serve to help guide younger Jedi who appear to be more vulnerable to the temptations of the Dark Side so that they are less likely to fall to the Dark Side than they may otherwise be, due to Merrin's past as a former Nightsister and her companion's encounters with Vader & the Inquisitors).
@@Skysunpace I don't think so. Him turning to the dark side completely negates all the growth he'd undergone as a person and Jedi in Survivor. I think Cal is going to die but they will make his death matter in the overall story.
I just watched an interview with Debra Wilson, who played Cere. She said during this scene, when she was 'dying', she could feel the tears falling on her face, over and over again like rain. I always thought Cal's (Cameron's) crying looked so real and raw. That's because those emotions were totally real. Adding Dark Deeds to this... bringing two of Star Wars' most impactful and emotional scenes smashing together like that. First time I listened to this I was literally balling my eyes out.
Finally someone who included anakin's dark deeds to this melody that feels it was always supposed to have. Beautiful orchestration, you deserve much views for your amazing work.
Im almost sure that Cal will be some sort of master to Kata so she'll be the next MC in future Star Wars games (if they follow the classic EA path lol) What I'm scared to see is Cal falling to the dark side, being the final trial for a youn Jedi Kata in a heartbeaking and beautiful story of loss and forgiveness. My god, this game hits so hard

He started out as a character no one knew nor cared about when they first played as him in Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order, but by the end, everyone loved him, and this game made everyone care for him. He's definitely my favorite Star Wars character
This is absolutely incredible, listened to it almost 10 times on repeat, you mesh so many tracks together perfectly and it creates such an emotional impact It is so well done, you are amazing!
Fantastic cover! If I have a request, Flight is one of my favorite new tracks and plays at THAT part of the game. I would love to hear your take on it!
@@PakistaniConservativeSocialist I don't think Cere would ever do that. As Jedi Master, she is beyond hatred and fear. It also negates the journey Cere has gone through from someone who stopped using the Force out of fear to one who is united with it and seeks to preserve the Jedi code. She knew fighting Vader was going to be her death. That wasn't the point. She knew she would lose that fight but she still gave it all. She was buying the rest time to escape--Cere sacrificed herself. Cal might not be the traditional Jedi, but he still believes in the code. Avenging someone will just continue the cycle of hatred and anger---that is not the Jedi way. And if you think its appropriate then you never really understood what it meant to be a Jedi.
@@rumblefish9 never said I did. The Jedi code was always flawed. That's one of the many reasons the Jedi Order fell. Cal has proven he's a grey Jedi. I won't even be surprised if, in the next game, something happens that causes him to start using the dark side of the force completely. I'm not saying that'd be the right thing to do. I'm just saying it'd fit his character
It's a more dramatic rendition of the music that plays at the funeral at the end of the game, called "Through Darkness." That song itself is an echo of the theme that plays when Cal reconstructs his lightsaber on Ilum in the first game!

That start with Eno Cordova’s theme was beautiful
If you didn’t know this has part of the song that Cal plays on the guitar in the first game

Yeah...Cal used the Dark side at a moment and it was Merrin who prevented him to go further...but if Merrin dies? or...go? What would happen?
