Hey man keep the Dominion reviews coming!!
I agree with a few of the other comments sort of...
I think it would make sense to maybe explain more why you dislike a card than to say you hate it. With that possibly say why someone may like it. Maybe a certain strategy would work with a card that doesn't work for yours.
I also understand it's your opinion and I do enjoy watching these to see what you might say being a casual player like myself 🙂

Good suggestion. I did do it with some of the cards I hate. I think I explained why I hate trade route and venture

Yeah you did, I was more referring to the occasion in some of your reviews where you don't as much and would like to hear why you hate it.
Also something that could be interesting (although I am not advocating making 1 hour long videos 😂) would maybe be a brief in game experience of why you hate or love a card. Like maybe a game went a certain way for or against you and that's when you formed your opinions on that card 🙂

@@tylerrodes2271 yeah I try to do that for some of the cards but I can’t do it for every card I hate or it would be an hour long. Getting carried away is a big part of my mental disability. But I have mentioned on other social media like Facebook why I hate certain cards. Or certain games. Don’t get me started on mice and mystics.

I’ve always liked it, but I totally understand anyone not, Goons is my favorite as well. Early expansion and Donald was trying too hard to up the anty to a 10. Adventures, empire, renaissance are amazing. Should do the same and do a play through like Dominating Dominion channel. I like the negativity.

I bought dominion prosperity at a board game store in Boise Idaho. Probably won’t work for you. Try Amazon or the company website rio grande games.

@@Animal_board_gamer Yeah sure, but what about multi Expansion games? What if you play with Rats and Cultists from Dark Ages. Not only do you get the cards but you can get a card adding up to those cards cost, trash two rats and get a Province is good late-game and in a mid-game trashing rats and another card for a better 4 costing card is REALLY GOOD. You have to think about the other cards in the game and not just in the Expansion. And on Mint, you can, with Mint, just use a death cart to trash rats, gain 5 coins and then buy a Mint and because you used no treasure you can gain a mint with no cost to you.

@@Animal_board_gamer Yes, you hate it, because you don't understand it and even don't care to understand it. Honestly, how can you review something you don't understand? Sorry, Spencer, but with all respect, that's just a pretty bad flop on your side.
Also, while we're at it, Forge is one of the most powerful cards in the game, full stop. It's very good early on, for just getting rid of your coppers and/or estates, it's great in the middle game -- for turning the cards that were useful in the beginning (Cutpurse, excess silvers, etc.) into a powerful card you need or into a VC, and it's an absolute killer for the endgame, where you would just convert everything you can into Duchies or Provinces. Not to mention a classic punch in the gut whereby, while you're in the lead with the last Province in the pile, you would just Forge a Province in your hand into a new one from the pile -- not gaining additional points in the process, but just ending the game cold right there. To me, Dominion is all about plays like that.

@@barsorrro I never said forge was weak. No says we have to like powerful cards. Possession can be very powerful and yet it’s blacklisted by many people. And so many expansions your going to have to put something on the bottom of the barrel, for me it’s basically prosperity. I understand the expansion pretty well. I actually used to hate half the cards in the expansion. But after many plays of prosperity, it grew on me a little bit. But as far as other expansions go I find a lot these cards boring to play with. Forge is very boring for me, you might not find it boring and that’s good I’m glad someone likes it. Also we have our strategies in dominion and the cards I hate do not work with my strategies. Also as far as using forge to trash cutpurse. I’m not talking about how prosperity works with other expansions. I’m talking about how an expansion is on its own. You may prefer to play online, but I do not. If I’m going to mix expansions I always leave prosperity out. Prosperity I have given it plenty of chances to impress me, it doesn’t impress me. A few good cards doesn’t make an expansion good. On the other hand I like almost every card in dark ages that’s what makes dark ages the better expansion in my eyes. But that’s what a review is. What you like and don’t like, even if that means someone else likes what you hate. Each expansion is going to appeal to each person differently same with each card. It doesn’t matter if the card is really powerful or weak. And since you’re probably an online player you’re also going to have different experiences than those of us who prefer to play the physical copy. Remember we’re casual dominion players, your competitive. You really care who wins or loses, we do not. Who don’t want to carry 10 expansions to a friends house. More like 2 or 3. Also do you know what Donald x vaccarino s favorite card is? I’ll give you a clue it’s in dark ages.

Spencer, for all honesty -- it's your channel and your videos, but aren't you a bit old to reduce everything you say about a card to just a katatonic repetition of "I hate it, I just hate it, I hate it." -- ? I suggest you stamp your foot next time for extra expression value ;).
As a matter of fact, ask any good Dominion player and they'll tell you Mint is very good. It's not absolutely awesome -- there are easier ways to get rid of the coppers, but Mint is pretty much up there among the best of them. Combined with the obligatory presence of Platinum in Prosperity games, you're getting a card that can give your deck a true rocket-launch when used skillfully (... and when luck is on your side).
And, while we're at it, if the reason that you hate Mint so much is that you call yourself a "copper-strategist", then I have a bit of sad news for you. There's no such thing. It simply doesn't exist. Perhaps it existed in the early days of the game, with some of the weak cards that were present in the first edition of the Base game, I don't know. It certainly never existed since I've started playing Dominion three years ago or so. Coppers are there to be trashed -- or endured if you can't trash them. Other than for the bonus from the Fountain, you will never willingly get extra coppers. The bonus from the Fountain is so big that it's often worth working your way around the prospect of never trashing your starting coppers, but you will normally only get the additional 3 required for the bonus toward the absolute end of the game. There are no cards in Dominion that would make juggling with coppers profitable and efficient. The only card in existence that seems to welcome doing that would be the Counting House of this expansion, but there are no other tools to help one use its function in a planned and reliable way.

Your forgetting quite a lot of cards that are powerful copper strategies. Settlers/bustling village. Apothecary from alchemy is powerful card that rewards you for having a lot of coppers. And every time that I’ve played with it, I’ve won even if there’s a good trashing strategy. Storyteller from adventures is quite useful if you have a lot of coppers. Ill gotten gains and stables are powerful if you hang onto your coppers. Also if your playing a copper strategy cache and beggar will also help. And of course fountain too. For someone who says that it copper strategy doesn’t exist anymore and thinks counting house is the only one, seems to have completely forgotten about those cards which are even better than counting house.
Also just so you know, I may be old but I’m mentally disabled. I have autism. I have asbergers syndrome. So I’m not the average adult. I can’t live the average adult life either. Mentally I’m still just a kid.

@@Animal_board_gamer Well, sorry for that. I had no way of knowing. I'm disabled myself, although my disability is a physical one. So, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to hurt you. The criticism was harsh and nastily framed -- I appologize for that. However, I uphold the essence of it, since my comment wasn't meant to dis you personally -- I just think it is something expected of somebody reviewing stuff to give their rationale: better or worse, more defendable in a discussion or less, longer or shorter, but something that would give foundation and explanation to your claim.
As to "copper strategies"... well, I'm unconvinced. Yes, I do admit I forgot about the Apothecary and you certainly have a point there. That card does synergize with a deck running plenty of coppers and, indeed, the effect can be pretty powerful. So, yes, I'll grant you that. And yet, I would still argue that Apothecary is rubbish if you can get rid of your coppers with a somewhat decent efficiency. The problem with Apothecary lies in the fact, that its effectiveness drops dramatically as the game progresses, since no good deck can live without some variety of action cards in it, and as you add more different cards in, the Apothecary chains will stumble more and more on them. Not to mention the fact that with the requirement of the Potion, it's not all that easy to stack upon the Apothecaries, and while jumping the hoop of buying the Potion and then trying to get +buys in order not to be buying a card like this for 5+Potion is quite worth it for Alchemist, Familar or even the Scrying Pool, Apothecary always raises the question of time expenditure.
As for the other cards you mentioned, they do indeed work well with coppers (although Storyteller definitely prefers heavier treasures), but they do work without them, too -- I might be less rushed to reduce my coppers if I had access to Stables, but I wouldn't keep them specifically for it. Also, while Settlers work specifically with coppers, the goal of a good deck is to draw itself fully in a turn, and, even if that's not achieved, a good deck will rotate quickly enough for the Settlers to often come up drawn from a deck that's been recently shuffled and the copper-from-discard-pile effect is lost anyway. Effectively, Settlers is mostly an early game card, which has an additional function of leading up to the remainder of the pile which are the coveted Bustling Villages. As for Cache and Beggar I simply consider them very weak cards -- one buys them only under extremely specific circumstances (like for the Fountain effect or if you really wanted to load up on Silvers from Beggar's reaction -- for example, in case of Knights).

@@tylerrodes2271 yeah thanks for that. It will probably be a few days before I post anything else. Tuesday is a big day for me. I volunteer at the zoo getting to take care of animals like penguins and giraffes. (Which I’ve been doing for almost 20 years now) In the meantime I do have 600 other videos you could watch. Surely you could find something interesting to watch going through them. I have many games I love more than dominion. In fact me and one of my friends got together and did our top 10 favorite games. A couple months ago. It’s only like 24 or so videos down the list. Also if you like Minecraft I have some Minecraft videos and a couple of other video games like Dragon quest builders 2, that I’ve done videos on.

@@barsorrro yeah I’m not too upset. I just wanted to make sure you knew where I was coming from, before you start judging.
And yeah a copper strategy is one my strategies, which doesn’t necessarily mean it’s one of the main strategies. It’s a minor strategy that might be in a game once in awhile. And yes I still get other action cards and better treasures too, for effective combos and chains. But theres just something about pulling out a win because of My copper strategy. The few times I’ve played online. The people I’ve played online with have been blown out of the sky on occasion when they see me gaining coppers and playing with those particular cards. And then of course I win and they can’t believe there eyes 👀. Like how did you do that dude? One time apothecary was in the game and so was chapel. My opponent went the chapel route of course while I went the copper strategy route. He trashed his coppers and started gaining golds. And I was gaining coppers and apothecary s left and right. At one point he asked me why I wasn’t trashing my coppers. And i said apothecary is a copper strategy. He’s like whatever but you’re going to lose for sure. And then when I beat him, he said well done and then he said I won’t dis apothecary ever again. Showing what I can do with a copper strategy is fun. Amazing my opponents with it is even more fun. So only if certain cards are in the game do I attempt my copper strategy. (My duplicate duchy when 5 or more duplicates are sitting on my tavern mat is fun too) Of course now my friends are now more wise to that strategy. In fact one of my friends was like where’s an embargo when you need one. I thought that was hilarious.
