Hello, I'm new to the DJ world just bought a Denon DJ SC Live 4 as I won a deal in my area. Even though I'm a complete beginner I went for SC live 4.
So for lighting, this is what I understood:-
1 Get the offline music in your pc on engine DJ then auto-generate the light script, export the music to USB then connect to SC live 4
2 depending on the lights you got Hue or DMX make sure they are either connected via USB if DMX or Hue hub(wireless). If DMX is not wireless purchase the DMX wireless adapter and connects to the SC LIVE 4 USB.
3 (a)In SC live 4 make sure the USB is selected for music,
(b)Go to lighting settings and select the hue or DMX whichever you're using.
My questions
Can I use DMX lights without wifi- so daisy chain and then pick anyone DMX light to connect via wire to SC live 4, or is that not possible?
Can I also connect both Hue and DMX at the same time? Do I need to press something on SC Live 4 to do that lastly does the music always have to be exported to USB for lights to sync with the music, or can this be done on the fly using Serato DJ pro or any other app on pc playing music via let's say SoundCloud connected to SC live 4?
Updated my SC6000’s to Engine Dj 2.0 , it’s been awesome. Love the cleaned up look on the screens when navigating. Glad they got rid of crates and have only playlists. Hue lighting has been phenomenal in my home studio with Denon lighting. Dope feature for sure. Great video as always guys.!Cheers from Massachusetts, USA…🤙🏼

Hi. Is it possible in Engine Dj to program and memorize lights behaviour (rhythm color changes, strobo, colours, stops, effects and so on) within the song data, togheter with hot cues, loops and so on ?
...and, maybe in the future hardware products, to add a DMX plug to start the chain?
Are there lights that won't work? What are the best lights for it?
It would be great if someone could explain in more detail how dmx lighting works, I have hue lights that is super easy but they just over dmx set up
Very impressive! But did I understand it correctly, you need an extra wifi router every time, to connect the Hue Brdige with the Denon Prime unit? 😥 Sounds bit complicate for me, especially for mobile / outdoor scenarios...
No no! The the Hue box connects in to the back of your WIFI router, you don't need anything extra!

Do the hue lights work if I use my laptop w my standalone controller? When I switch the source to computer I lose my lights. Any advice? Thanks!’

i updated last night its great only thing is my beat grids are moving on my stand alone unit,will this be fixed by an update?

I bought a Prime 4 from you guys a few weeks back now. It's a fantastic machine.
Nice update overall, but the Hue integration is very buggy for me personally. Only works on deck 1, and then only sometimes. Looking on Denon's forums, I'm not the only one experiencing this it seems.
Tidal streaming has a weird bug where it gets the beat grid wrong by one or two bars. Easy to fix but annoying!
ALMOST FORGOT
The light show you get when updating is sick! The lights glide from left to right across the decks as it goes. Very cool. It would be cool if you could activate that lighting on purpose...

You can script lighting for tracks using SoundSwitch desktop software rather than using the default Auto Loops
not understand sorry...if i not want use philips hue, but only movind heads or par, i need of some adapter to do this??? where is dmx out on consolle?
hi. i have a question but it doesnt seem to fit in here but ill ask. is there a setting of some kind that turns off the last CUE button when a new one is turned on? so im not pressing two buttons at once to switch, im wanting a kinda Toggle cues , the cue buttons im talking about are the ones above the volume sliders not the 8 below the decks, ive been searching for an hour or so

So when I'm say streaming through beatport link, does that save as a history like music on a usb ? And do you have the same playlist options on streaming services as you do on USB? As in organise in key/ bpm. Also beatport link you have to make your playlists on beatport for them to come on to the devices. Can I know make and edit playlists on the go through beatport link ??
Would it be able to control the movement on moving heads ?
You can do position overrides on moving heads in engine lighting in the advance mode!

Yes, it needs to be FAT32 or EXFAT

Denon controls are cheap and fall apart after one year don’t make the mistake I did

@@matribadeneira9766 it’s up to you if you buy one I made a mistake buying the mcx 8000 it never worked it took over a year to do a up date to fix the Problem that everybody had with them They refused to give me my money back even though they admitted there was a problem with them then it Worked sometimes And then just fell apart I wasted over £1000 never again complete and utter rubbish company and that’s why you never see their controllers in top venues because they’re cheap rubbish

Yes, you build the venue on the SoundSwitch desktop app and then export on a USB!
