Thanks for this. The tradition in Kpop is to focus on the group and ignore the other people, choreographers, songwriters, and musicians who collaborated on the songs. Not always easy to find that out that info.
the more i listen to ootd the fresher it feels which is insane. i agree - it's definitely a grower for me too. the choreo and visuals? also insane. whew. "why does it always have to end" - me whenever a dreamcatcher song ends fr hahaha. shatter has also grown on me a lot more since my first listen. the choreo elevates it so much, too. props to the stylists and choreographers this era, they understood the assignment and went all out!
At first I don't like SHATTER as much, but yes after watching their live performance & dance performance, the song quickly becomes my top 3 song from the album 😂😅, the dance, the story just add the flare on why the song was FIRE 🔥🔥
The fact Shatter is about Medusa or the Gorgons Euryale, Stheno and Medusa (Yoohyeon, Jiu and Siyeon are the only ones with hood), the choreography clearly symbolizes at least Medusa with Jiu at the beginning with the snake from the hands movements, « I think I turn into the stone » and the stone moment at the end while Siyeon points them out before the song end. So for all of that iconic statement it’s one of my top 5 DC song. They’re so beyond talented ❤️🔥✨🫶🏼 Also the fact that Gahyeon Handong got so many highlights make it so special and also they all killed it like wtf
