The 'rattle gun' term I think Mike developed around trades like 'plumbing' (impact drivers, as opposed to impact wrenches), because plumbers do a lot of threaded bar on ceiling soffits putting up their cable, pipe trays and support bracketry. Brent used the phrase there, which I've heard some of the trades use too.
Bravo guys..nothing comes easy and if it does there's a problem..Frustrations build.. wrenches fly and words said but in the end friendships in tact..That's what it's all about..working together to solve issues..Always important to separate work from play..You guys did a fantastic job staying in tune and staying focused..good job
This is the best show ever. I am watching season 1 episode 2 on Netflix now!! You're talking about your Beaumont 4 speed car!! you say to Avery it's probably 1/300 made. I just looked it up!!!! and it says there's only 41 of those made!!!. What a diamond 💎! Haha
You’re killing me Mike!! With all this badass you and Blaire are going to be doing. Upgrade your lift brother!! Small $$ out of the sock for what you spend!! Love you guys
Mike, no doubt your glasses are modern enough that they have plastic lenses. They quite using glass for lenses a few years ago. So if you have purchased glasses recently (4-5 years) the lenses will be made of plastic. My point, every time you wipe your glasses on your t shirt, you are scratching them. Not supposed to use anything but micro fiber to clean. Or warm soapy water and shake dry.
You know the old saying.Backyard mechanics. You guys are junkyard, mechanics.lol Putting that in a garbage can to work on.😂 You should. Have a nice bench to work on. Oh, well. I guess it worked.lol Love the show, keep them coming.👍🏻😎
When using a dial indicator. Start by marking the high or low spot on the piece your measuring. Zero your dial on that spot then start measuring from there. Way less headaches
Hey Mike. Great meeting you yesterday. Good luck on your cross Canada trip. If your around red deer and need help or a place to stay give me a buzz. Dean
I think LINCOLN had the right idea. He didn't feel the need to stand the human insanity and the heat so he got out of the kitchen while the calculating was in high gear. The epitome of a great supervisor. This may be a stretch but, i'm thinking BLAIR is down to the last 1/64th of a nerve. Just purely a guess though.
Any one here feeling bad for Lincoln? No one is there playing with him :( He looks bored and fed up when he's got no one to hang out with. My heart goes out to ya lincoln
Usually you take the shifter out of the transmission so it'll go up high enough or cut your hole out I thought you guys were cutting a hole in the floor
im with you Mike... sorry guys but over here in my world Adelaide Australia )i would bolt the gearbox to the bell housing then mount it to the centralized clutch and itll be right! if not the new stuff isn't as good as the old shit. Love Adelaide Matt
Hi Blair, When you changed the oil pan, You put automotive silicone on the new oil pan, then you put your new gaskets on top of the silicone. I never saw you put silicone on the block side of the cork gaskets. Will it leak if you didn't cover both sides of the oil pan gaskets with silicone to guarantee a good tight seal ? Take care. Roland
Hi Mike. When you adjust the Nobs on the jack it is easy with one person to align a trans to the motor. Where are you planning to come to the Eastern shore?
If you were paying him a set price for the job, Blair would absolutely be awesome to have doing your car (bodywork, paint, putting back together) but if you're paying him by the hour, he'd be a complete nightmare. By the hour, I wouldn't let him within 10ft of my car. Lol I can't even begin to imagine what Mike had to pay him start to finish to do this car.
That’s not fair Blair is doing frame work bodywork mechanical metal work painting and assembly nobody does all that watch GYC they take years to complete with a whole team at least a dozen
10-4 rubber ducky I didn't know the motor was rebuilt my bad I just went through the same thing you just did I put a 5-speed in my 87 Firebird my one son help me put the motor in and my other son help me put the 5-speed in gotta love those solid motor mounts they'll let the motor tilt back just far enough so you can put the tranny in I use the same Ram clutch kit that you use with a new Ram flywheel there's supposed to be a pretty good clutch but you guys were cracking me up beautiful car can't wait to see it drive keep up the videos you guys are great later bye
Some crazy work going on there....Blair your experience is just second to none!!!.... brilliant....
Mike I hope you value Blair the man is a master at his craft.
you have no idea of blairs value but like he says none of it makes any sense lol

Mike can I get in on your bets with Blair I need a part time job ..but Blair is a magician with those cars
Man i waited for this moment 😅 Damn it looks sick😎 Mike gonna be riding in style
Yeee Yeee 😊
I bet 25 years ago a few joints and beer would have made the install alot easier
and the beer likely was Bud Lite. Ya that is what powered the 70-90's.
In the words of my brother Pat, passed, what a pair of peligics, in this case tri peligics.
Been in similar situations so many times, 😎
Awesome

Mike I do things the hard way Hall also has way to much pride to admit wrong have an ounce of humility it will treat you better
Extremely easy install with a small block chevy
I agree with Blair those headers don't fit
blair paid up the bet was the engine would not go in with that header on it did go in twice that was the bet
Hi Mike.
When you adjust the Nobs on the jack it is easy with one person to align a trans to the motor.
Where are you planning to come to the Eastern shore?
Sometimes if the fork and the throwout bearing and lined up right it won't let you move it
Hi mike hi rust 🔝👋👋👋👋👋
Mike's a giant he stands next to people and make them look small Canadian power
If you were paying him a set price for the job, Blair would absolutely be awesome to have doing your car (bodywork, paint, putting back together) but if you're paying him by the hour, he'd be a complete nightmare.
By the hour, I wouldn't let him within 10ft of my car. Lol

Hey clown if you only had Blair's talent... he's Worth every penny....
That’s not fair Blair is doing frame work bodywork mechanical metal work painting and assembly nobody does all that watch GYC they take years to complete with a whole team at least a dozen
"heat it up and bend it" - thats a bit orange county choppers, cmon Mike lol
Word of the day is will it fit. 😮
If you change the dowl locations wouldn't that make it to where none of your bell housing would line up on the block?
Hey Rust Bros Lyle from Saskatoon sk in the building

Looks like no broblem codes in ecu.😂
Hi Mike, What brand oil filter are you in the habit of using ?
Drink every time you hear O’gay !! 😂 1:15:16

You don't need break in oil that motor was broke in 50 years ago put some Castrol GTX in 10W-30 or 40 and she'll be just fine
motor was totalky rebuilt 12tears ago and never started thats why we took some precautions
