Thank you for this video it got me thinking. I bought this deck quite a while ago and for some reason, after looking at it I put it away, maybe this is the time to use it. I had forgotten how beautiful it is and I never gave the book a chance. I love to rediscover decks I already have it's like it's new all over again.
Thank you Kasia. I have this deck and I am amazed by the art work but I was unable to use it because it is so rich that I become overwhelmed. I read the introduction and it didn't even register with me how important it was until I saw this video. You really helped me streamline and simplify my thinking about it I feel I could use it again and when I draw a card it won't be just a drop in the ocean. I'm keen to try this again. This review was so helpful! Thank you. My deck has arrived and I'll be unboxing today! Yay!! Even though I decided (long before its release) that I'd proudly support this Australian deck, I began to waver a just little. I wasn't turned off by learning a different system; I think that is exciting! I was concerned it may be a bit too 'glossy oracle' for me. But then... it all changed!! Your review really put things into perspective and shows not only its beauty, but also how well structured this system is. I'm very pleased with my purchase and I look forward to diving into this deck! :)

Haha Cheers Ania. When I met her in OZ she was still a Michelle :) We met at a body mind festival, and then we swapped art- wands/decks :) She comes across as a very honest and cool woman with a great sense of humour. And a big heart! I love how it shows in this deck too. So much work!! Xx

At last it is beginning to make sense!
I've had this deck for several months, but can't get over my dislike of the masks and horns on the heads!!! Looks silly to me, but,

Like someone else said, I also feel overwhelmed by the images with the many strange, scary faces. Still, I so want to like this deck!
I think the art is very personal to any recipient. If it's not your cup of tea, you just move on to a deck that really grabs you :) Why make yourself like something that is obviously not making you want to use it :) hahaha The horns and masks and faces are part of the lore and fantasy world of the artist based on many different traditions and "personalised" through her brush :) I guess there's no right or wrongs here...just a personal opinion of what speaks to us and what doesn't. Thank you for sharing your opinion. I love how we all see things differently. It's fascinating! xxx Big love

I'm just contemplating getting this deck. As opposed to many people, it's not "its own system" that's prevented me so far, it's the fact that I'm not sure if the artwork would work for me. When I look at the cards on the computer screen, the images are not "tempting", maybe too perfect in a way? Do you think it's different when you hold the cards in your hand?

Do you think we might be able to use just the Majors, Courts, and Aces only ....?? If so I am seriously thinking about getting the deck.... Especially after I browse through my Tarot in Black and White and how the Aces can be seen as culmination as well as seed of the suit...... Thinking. Thinking...

Is this a good deck for a beginner learning the Tarot?
It depends :) If you like to read intuitively it's a great deck but if you want to learn a tarot structure and system, so that then you can read with nearly every deck, I would recommend a more traditional deck. You can also always use two :) One for studying and this one because you love it :)
Your non-favorites are mine, too. I call the first "the Trump card"! The 8 of water comes up to warn my clients of those who present as having their spiritual stuff together but are actually using spirituality to exploit others. He's creeeeepy. Beautifully painted as are all the images. Something I especially love about this deck is that the facial expressions are produced in a way that makes them "shapeshift" depending upon the reading. The very same card can look smug, or bored, or calm, or self-assured. It's so amazing to me. I love this deck and use it exclusively now.

i bought this deck last month and love it. its so funny because i dislike the exact same cards!!! that is one creepy face!
I LOVE the deck and art but the card stock is HORRIBLE they will be demolished within the week and the size of the cards...shuffling is a challenge.
