I have one f these exact vehicles, I've been keeping it going for almost 10 years now, named it Harvey. I really want to restore it.... and pass it on to my oldest son in the next few years. The traction on rough terrain and in snow, stinks, it is still not something that I've mastered, could be the abs...? Either way, my 4Runner is basically part of the family. I hope to keep it for many many years.... Glad to know I'm not alone in that respect :-)
Oh, and Byron, my truck has just over 180,000 miles and the timing belt has been replaced and other major components are well maintained , it should last another 150,000 miles. That's what I hear anyways.
I'm not positive at the moment... I don't think so tho, I have a shifter for 4 wheel drive but no-one has ever mentioned a rear locker. I just don't trust my brakes on rough terrain; that includes gravel/like during road work.

My current daily driver is a clone of this 4runner except it is in Stellar Blue Pearl. 300,000 miles and still on the original clutch. Been from Wyoming to Alabama way more than once. Excellent vehicles.

+Nate Cicchini He wants a ton of money for everything. I emailed him about one of the 4Runners he had and he said he wanted 13,500 for it. I understand they are in great condition, but Its still a 15 year old car with 150,000+ miles on it. I could get one newer with less miles for about half of what he wants. I assume its the same with jeeps
