This piece must have been written for Heinz and Ursula Holliger...

Right you are! They later recorded the Trois Danses with Sir Neville Marriner and the Academy of St Martin-in-the-Fields (Philips). Also here on UA-cam look for videos with Frank Martin's daughter, Teresa, a professional flamenco dancer/choreographer, through whom he became familiar with this great Spanish art form. He also wrote a fine piece for the pianist Paul Badura-Skoda, Fantasy on Flamenco Rhythms, for Teresa Martin to dance. Both of these pieces date from the "second summer" years of Frank Martin's life, when between 1969 and his death in 1974 he composed a series of seven works, all superb. :)
