JVC guy, Do you sell any of your JVC'S or do you just collect them? If you sell them, I would like to buy one. Would you please let me know. Thank you.
I bought an MX-J900 10 years ago for $150 on Craigslist. I’ve had it put away ever since because this stereo isn’t “apartment friendly” I bring it out once a year for my kids’ birthday parties and people are amazed how loud it gets considering the stereo is 20 years old.
I'm restoring a nasty example I picked up on marketplace. I need a remote. Can you suggest what remotes are compatible? The original remote is hard to find. Thanks!
There are lots on ebay, but be careful, lots of them on there are China clones of the remotes. The real ones have text somewhere near the bottom of the remote saying the model of the remote and stuff
Had this for years but the foam surround on the subwoofer deteriorated and started to crack and come of. Sound is OK for what it is. And the sound is better if you stay away from max. It cuts power to the subwoofers at max level.
What are your personal equalizer settings, and if you have different ones for different types of music or situations. What are they and for what reason/s?
I used to have the lower model of this stereo it was almost identical except for the rolling motorized panel it was loud then the three cd player stack failed and after that the amplifier preout driver got fried somehow and it got replaced by a Aiwa cx-naj54 ..
@@TheJVCguy I think so but that was at least 8 years ago now so I don't remember the model number for certain one cassette tape player plays slightly slower than the primary cassette tape player and the cd player and the receiver even from 2001 being used play like new, but it doesn't have the same power to clean sound ratio the jvc had wattage is probably somewhat close but the jvc played clearly louder volumes, but the aiwa cx-naj54 has more bass low and mid range?!
Nice system - I just got the J900 set for free and after some (a lot) of external cleanup, I love the sound. Its display is heavily used and dimmer now, but it still works. For an all-in-one shelf system, it sounds amazing. It should only get better after full disassembly to remove the coating of filth it has had on everything, and hopefully get the cd and cassette players working again. I have better audio equipment, but I have respect for what this system can do. I like its sound more than the GT90 I also picked up a month ago (somehow they didn't destroy the GT90 amp with running 4 Gigatube speakers on the thing). Btw, "Verbatim" - it's the normally pronunciation of the English word that means "exactly the same." As in "the cd you burned is exactly the same as the original source material." Copied, exactly. You copy something verbatim.
ay nice how did you manage to get one of these beasts for free?! hahah, If you take the front display board off you can kinda wiggle it out just enough to get in between the display and the front display cover to clean if its dirty. helped lighten up the screen on my other gt80 a ton. Yeah gt90 is typically just bass and nothing else (although sounds really nice when you pair it with a z3 at the same time)
If anyone knows where I can buy this stereo, please let me know. I'll get notification if you reply. I had a different one I bought my Son for his 16th birthday at Best Buy. My parents had a $3000 Technics rack system with massive speakers. I hooked my Son's up and turned it to 11( lol) and it shook the entire house. It sounded better than their's. Please, if you or anyone else who sees this is selling one, kindly let me know. Thanks JVCGUY for the demo. This kicks ass!!!!! ❤
@@TheJVCguy, HI, I found not exactly the stereo I really wanted. But I found a killer deal on a JVC MX-GT88. I only paid $75 bucks for it. As I'm sure you know, it has 460 watts. My Brother lives in Ohio and he went to get it for me. I still don't have it in my possession yet. If you have one, would you please do a good, dubstep video on it please. Thank you very much, Tracey
j950r is international model of j900, the subwoofer is slightly different and has a metal dustcap vs the regular dome one on this model. I believe the regular j900 has a bit more power handling capability as it never gets smelly, but I heard the 950r does
Yo bro sorry I’m late on all these videos you feature. I have the J700 BNIB. I gotta grab it from storage and unbox it one day. But man that J900 kicks! I saw a one on EBay bro and kicking myself for not picking it up.
Hello sir iam from India I have this jvcmx-j570v system but it's not working some think technical work has came sir please help me to repair it I want it I love this system
Nah. That's only if it's at extreme max which it never is, if you look at another manual at the real rated power its only like 0.7% or less something like thaf
Yes! of course it is a good system, but find out some more of what I think of this system in this video.

This is the best sounding shelf stereo ever i have it and everyone that hears it wants to buy it right away
Now you gotta hear a real system like mine
Fantastic review! That rolling front panel... wow! I love it!
Thanks haha. Yeah most of the j series has it. It's so cool!
can't wait to see more
Thanks, more coming soon!

@@Noavaileblenames yeah that’s why I prefer a lot of the other Jvc models, they don’t cut the bass nearly as much as these J series ones
Man I wanted this as a kid... I still want it. WTB if selling
Someone is selling one on fb near me for 80$ but nah too expensive
👍👍👍👍👍
I bought this model when it came out. I was 17 at the time. Still have it but the cassette deck no longer plays
the casette can probably be fixed by replacing a rubber belt behind the mechanism, although on these units its kinda hard to do lol
Just bought mine today 🎉🎉🎉 I'm on a streak 😅
Sick bro!! How you like it??
@TheJVCguy I want to put car subs instead.. if you want he original drivers lmk
Sigue asi hermano
thanks bro!

still have this?? can i buy it from you?
Buen equipo
Do you have a MX j900 for sale?
hello sir can you please let me know how did you connect your phone to the system im having a bad time figuring how to do it
Hello, you must get a RCA (red and black) to 3.5mm jack cable and connect your phone with it.
How decent is the jvc mx gt500 and the j900 i have been looking at them used
J900 should be better than the g500, it has bigger drivers and more power but I have never personally heard the g500 irl

I recommend Facebook marketplace for the best deals, but also eBay Mercari OfferUp and Craigslist
I also occasionally sell off mine as well, I have a gb6 for sale at the moment

2000

2 speakers. left and right

Sono d'accordo! gli stereo più vecchi sono molto meglio di quelli moderni. peccato che non li facciano più
Sir please help me sir
