Back in the nineties I did a four inch wider Healey on a 100/4 with Jaguar suspension and discs all round, 445 bhp stroker Chevrolet and a six speed Richmond box.. We met a guy from the Healey factory back in 2004 in Switzerland at a Healey do, he and his wife were a great team we had a memorable ding dong on the road one day ! great fun. Regards to you both cant believe it was twenty years ago !!
The paint & body work on these cars is immaculate. I have always found the AH-3000 to be a handsome little sports car. The Rolls or Bentley in the background is beautiful.
They sure are Jim. Thanks for your comment. Make sure you watch the week of Rolls Royce and Bentley content being released all this week on the channel
Superb work all around. I noticed an interesting inner wing modification on the TR3 for carb air cleaner clearance, or perhaps a super charger. Will you please share an update of the finished product?
Great idea turning this Beautiful Classic into a Hot Rod, I always thought it needed to be widened as well as the Cobra, TVR Tuscan, Jag E Type etc etc etc. In fact I think there is a Company that produces a widened and sectioned Healey in fibreglass?
You need a deep pocket to own that Healey. So many British cars were Italian designed you could fill a book though I wonder if today they still possess the "gift."
I have also an artical about this car it's a BN6L and acording to the artical only 285 BN6L's were exported to th USA of the the 329 produced prior to the 3000 modlels
Probably about a year or so ago Luke. I’m bringing over the old videos from the other channel first of all where they never had a chance as subs there were only interested in Aussie cars. This video got 1000 plays in that time. I was back at the Healey Factory last week so new content coming soon. But there’s plenty more to upload from them from the past year before that.
@@DavesClassicGarageToursV2 ok cool. I showed my mum and she asked when it was because they took their Healey to Norway last year. Dads Healey is in the factory now getting some mechanical and paint work done before being driven back to Perth next week. Those wide body Healeys are something else. Absolutely beautiful. Look forward to the next part.
Indeed, the craziest had to be the one with the Chrysler Hemi, an early 331 with the long bellhousing so it must have been a really tight fit. I often wonder if it's still about somewhere.
I’ll have to admit, being British I’m not up on US V8 preferences of the day, apart from the fact they sounded great. What’s your beef with the Chevy or is it simply partisanship like here between Ford and Holden?
The Healey factory is a great asset to the motoring hobby in Australia!
Certainly is
The most stunning restoration work I've ever seen!
With all the excitement generated by the spokesman there is no wonder that we are all excited about this car.

They certainly stir the memories these cars don’t they?

Beautiful cars, but what they needed most was an extra two inches road clearance! Hands up everyone who let his exhaust pipe on a {roughish} road.
A safari Austin Healey? Now we’re talking.
I want one! My first car was 3000 Mk2
Order books are open
Stunning work!
Certainly is.

Thats detail at its best.
Indeed
Fantastic! Subscribed
Thanks for the sub!

I've always understood the Healey was designed by Gerry Coker who was quite definitely not Italian.
You’re quite right Ashley. I’ve got my titles and videos mixed up. This one alludes to a Pantera. I shall make the change forthwith

Not this one. As Ashley points out above. I’ve mixed up my uploads and titles
Just Wow!
👍

Good collection Dave. Much appreciated
Please about the Music at 07:30 - That Soundtrack is great - which band playing?
It’ll be a library track from somewhere.
Why the missing section of bonnet surround on left side?
Has it got rack and pinion or still that chest crushing steering column?.
Great video. When was this filmed?

@@LukeMitchell-vz5zd Ahh yes, the big Healey rally. That sounded like it would've been epic
Back in the 60s everybody was dropping a V8 in these things
But did they have the suspension and brakes to match?
I think best drop an 8 into everything and anything.

Whats the name of the song
It’s a music library track
The sunbeam tiger 🐅 also had the Ford sb V8, a chev engine would ruin that as well

Thank God they used the Ford V8 !
So many cars are ruined by chev V8
I beg your pardon.
