- Has anyone ever told you, "Don't believe everything you see on the internet"? Well, this is the case for a very infamous hoax video made by Splatkid802, who frightened many viewers by showing what might have happened to the famous children's television network Qubo when it closed off. Although what he showed in his video didn't actually happen, he strongly wants everyone to believe that it all actually happened. This video will expose all of Splatkid's lies and tell the truth about Qubo's fate.

As someone who grew up in the classic era of lost episode creepypastas, this had _all_ the tropes of a typical amateur lost media horror story: the horrendous spelling, the 'spooky' music, the aggressive way it chastises the viewer for failing to do anything, and of course the 'hyperrealistic' blood and gore. If anything I'm amazed that these are still fooling kids.
So am I. Something needs to be done about it.

I’ve heard a complaint from SuperKeegan 9100 Saying about splatkid’s secret lies about not having an editing technology to make it real but he does have a computer and a recording device for CRT Television and claiming about that video is real but in the reality it’s not

It wasn't just comments that SplatKid deleted, he likely took down other videos that debunked his horror show.
Also, the TV in the video is a CRT, which means he had to have put the video on a DVD and used a built-in or separate DVD player to play the video.

I just recently watched the video mentioned, and I was scared initially, but now I realize that this fear was nothing after watching this video. I am 16 years old, and I even fell for such a hoax. I have watched some shows on the Qubo channel before it shut down and I am still sad the channel had to go.

Is quite shocking and disturbing and terrifying for the young viewers to watch their favorite cartoon characters from Qubo channel getting murdered by the firing squad but their drawings were poor quality and every viewers claim that is fake

Most of the characters used were possibly PNGs found by doing Google Image searches, as were the skulls and other scary faces (like JayJay's skull, which looks like the face of Jeff the Killer).
Btw, there's another thing about SplatKid's Vid that i have noticed that others did not. We dont know *exactly* if the shutdown actually plays and recorded from a tv due to the room being so dark. The only thing we see in the vid is the screen/shutdown itself. We dont know exactly where the shutdown exactly played and recorded from, it could be actually a tv but it could be a computer too

To be honest, while not exactly knowing Qubo as a channel, the show "The Zula Patrol" was literally my childhood, and because of this I greatly pay my respects to Qubo.
And bluntly, I'm just happy that Splatkid didn't include any characters from the Zula Patrol, then I would be even more pissed off at Splatkid's so-called "Shut Down." But i admit that i was exposed to creepypastas at age 11, so really I'm not too surprised at this video.
Another thing i want to add about the video, I know it's fake, but even if it weren't fake, at the message at the end Qubo and EW Scripps only have themselves to blame not only for like Killing off their characters but also providing the viewers with a fake phone number to Rick roll them.

This totally makes sense also I've seen other users copying the fake video and also stealing content including mine although my content isn't suitible for kids and they didn't even have permission or put credit. Splatkid802 is making a whole army of people who want to traumatized young ones and make them confused.
They also put characters that didn't even air on the channels.
I remember Maggie and the Ferocious Beast. That was a true millennial classic.
It was aired on Nick Jr in the United States in the early 2000’s.
I also found out that was also aired on the now defunct Teletoon in Canada.
It was later removed from TeleToon a long before they shutdown, probably because they lost the rights to shows like that one, same with Marvin the Tap Dancing Horse and Atomic Betty.
MATFB is still available to watch all over North America on Treehouse Direct UA-cam channel, and reruns are still available to watch on Tubi.

Honestly I'm suprised such a poorly edited video with the most amateur editing possible (not to mention the obvious Zelda music) has somehow managed to convince even the smarter folks out there. In a vacuum...maybe. But it's so obviously another entry in the endless landslide of fake anti-piracy, hijacking and analog horror series.
I remember at some point Qubo used to air installments of VeggieTales on TV as a kid as well.
That one taught Christian values, however, the Christian parts were edited out because of NBC’s TV regulations.
This was something that Phil Vischer (creator of VeggieTales), wasn’t too thrilled about.
Even the Parents Television Council filed complaints against NBC.
Vischer said, "I would have declined partly because I knew a lot of fans would feel like it was a sellout or it was done for money." Still, Vischer added that he understood NBC's wish to remain religiously neutral, and said, "VeggieTales is religious, NBC is not. I want to focus people more on 'Isn't it cool that Bob and Larry are on television?'" VeggieTales was removed from Qubo in 2009.
VeggieTales eventually aired on some Christian channels that have children’s blocks, since VeggieTales features positive values from the Bible.

It is sad though that he wanted to ruin some peoples childhoods because if he didn't want to do that he wouldn't have shown a bunch of Qubo characters getting their head blown off by a shotgun.
Unfortunately I never got to know Qubo. Simply put, I grew up on dish (satellite). I had stuff like Disney Junior (before it was replaced by Family JR), Family Jr (after the replacement), Cartoon Network, pbs kids, Knowledge Kids (before that channel ceased existence randomly), and others.

One of the main reasons why the name “Qubo” was chosen, was because it can be used in both English and Spanish without any changes.
I loved Qubo! Why would it even shut down its broadcast? All these cartoons on Qubo were my childhood! Even for Fireman Sam, and all the TV shows that aired on Qubo, Qubo is my favorite channel that I always loved to see on my Mom's Xfinity TV box, they would never turn this beautiful and kid friendly TV channel, even the music from The Legend of Zelda Majora's Mask, The Legend of Zelda franchise is literally licensed by the Japanese+American company Nintendo! Seriously! I have a Nintendo Switch, not for the likeness of this point that I watch a whole bunch of TV channels, even for Max from Monster Math Squad, which is literally what I watch, when his face creeps me when all the cartoon characters could start staring at us, even for when they completely get murdered by an unseen shotgun, Qubo is my childhood. 😢😢

In 2006, Ion Media, NBCUniversal, scholastic, Corus Entertainment, and DreamWorks Classics (formerly Classic Media) announced that they’ll be forming a new educational kids TV network called Qubo.
This children’s TV brand would have blocks that would air on channels like NBC Telemundo and Ion television (formerly “i” at that time).
Not to mention that would later air as an Independent channel.
Qubo would later sign carriage agreements with advanced cable communications, and Blue Ridge communications.

in March 2006, Discovery announced that they decided not to renew its contract with NBC, Because Discovery Kids wants to focus more on their own independent channel instead of the Discovery Kids block on NBC.
So Discovery Kids on NBC was taken off the air. Months later, on September 9th 2006 Qubo was launched into its place.
Because if they really showed this fake shut down on TV, there would’ve been a serious lawsuit.
It’s a good thing Qubo didn’t end this way. on February 26th 2021 on the FiOS broadcast, the channel abruptly signed off in the middle of Franklin, and then GRIT took its place.
And on most remaining broadcasts on February 28, 2021 Qubo abruptly signed off in the middle of reruns of Inspector Gadget.

@@SophieFailureI Compared this to other Qubo shutdown Videos and the ones i compared it too are real and they are recorded on Flat screens the splatkid video on the other hand is recorded on a CRT TV so idk how he could get a roku or apple TV hooked up to a TV like that unless if he is using a model with an hdmi port
The video is easy to recreate aswell. All you gotta do is have some footage of qubo, get pngs of the characters displayed, do all the ending text, play the majora’s mask music, transition the background, stick a timer and done! This was clearly fake and the g0re scenes made me doubt this was real. And i agree. He should be terminated.
Another theory is that this is an alt account of superkeegan. He mentioned him in the description so that’s most likely a way to divert users to his main channel.

In January 2015 the block on Ion Television was renamed to “Qubo kids corner”.
I reported it twice for misinformation and harmful or dangerous acts. hopefully it gets taken down.
After Comcast acquired NBCUniversal in 2012, it was announced that NBC and Telemundo will be discontinuing their Qubo blocks.
NBC replaced theirs with NBC Kids, and Telemundo replaced theirs with Mi Telemundo.
So that leaves Ion television left with a Qubo programming block.

I’m surprised that Doki, Mundi, Todd from Toddworld, Miss Spider, One of the rescue heroes, One of the DaVincables, Paddington Bear, Justin, Squidgy, Science Max, And Jane (Jane and the dragon) were not in this fake shut down.
Personally, I’m neutral over Miss spider.
Justin time is a pretty decent children show, because I remember watching it some point when I was younger.
But I like Doki, rescue heroes, The DaVincables, The adventures of Paddington Bear, Jane and the Dragon, and Toddworld.

This video was his only video on his channel as of right now. So I don’t have any info on him. But 50% sure that this video was not made by him. Trust me it would have been more shittier than it already is. Here are my scenarios
1. This video was already published on a website.
2. He hired his friend to edit this and make it unlisted to him
3. It was probably found on a qubo fan base website.

I’m glad they really ended in a not so violent way, we instead just disappeared with the snap of a finger.
It’s a good thing we still have PBS Kids and other stations, which I also to remember in my childhood.
