Just picked up a pair of white Fuse direct from the Puma UK store for the scarcely believable sale price of £40, plus 15% discount for signing up to the newsletter! Absolute bargain even as a backup training shoe at that price
I'm more of a conventional lifter who does cardio at the end of my session but ive been using regular sneakers for lifting so far but i do have to take them off when im doing calves and treadmills arent comfortable so i have to use a cycle or an eliptical for cardio. ive tried running shoes but they just dont give me enough stability. should i get these as im getting a very good deal on them
Hey! These would be okay for shorter runs, but may be too firm for longer distances. Imo, if you’re doing shorter mileage, then you’ll be fine in them especially if getting a really good deal 💪
@@thatfitfriend Thanks Jake, didn't expect such a fast reply. 😀 I'll take either these or Tribase Reign 4's as both can double as cross-training shoes as well. Reigns are better overall, but these might be better for boxing due to a higher ankle? Anyways, thanks!
@@shko-mi Of course! Also, check out the Puma Fuse 2.0. It's a stronger model and delivers a similar ankle construction. You may be able to find them on sale as well!
I really hate the backwards puma logo on the side. That could’ve been done better and it would’ve been a much better looking shoe. Can’t wait to see the review of the New Balance Minimus TR once they come out. That shoe looks amazing.
Haven't tested them for that, but the upper should be secure enough and the outsole would be grippy enough for that context - based on my use of these for plyos, etc.
Just ordered a pair for $54 on sale, arrive in a few days. Now I see to order a size up and they are sold out of the shoe. I bought a pair in my size 3 months ago and they were to big. Why oh why do company's have inconsistent sizes. Hope they fit.
IMO, they’re pretty uncomfortable for running. You can get away with running in then if you’re a forefoot runner, however, they still not be the best option!
@@daveyadict_ I just bought em today online. Hopefully they are good. I was asking if you got em cause I was wondering if they are good for lateral movements (like side to side agility workouts, or sports like tennis where you gotta move 360. I have not! I’m not much help there - but, imo, these should be fine for some casual games, but they may not be the most responsive/forgiving over longer games
@@thatfitfriend awesome thanks. Out of all the shoes you have at the moment, which ones do you suggest for some casual games? I haven't got a pair of the x1s yet.
@@thatfitfriend I wore Fila shoes for the gym but they seem to be unstable during the lifts, I want a shoe that is stable yet light, my feet size is 10 and its narrow so I want stability at mid foot, what would you recommend, thanks for the reply.
They're not bad! Low heel-to-toe, fairly stable. I think for the powerlifter that likes a lower heel height and slightly more narrow build, then these will work. What do you wear now and do you like them?
@@thatfitfriend I usually squatted in either Vans or Converse because they feel stable, but I'm looking for a low to the ground trainer with a flexible sole so I can squat comfortably and train calves. What would you recommend?
@@danieldonabit gotcha - these would put you a bit higher, but 4mm isn’t the biggest deal, but if you want to go truer to a 0mm heel to toe offset, then check out the UA TriBase Reign 3s, they have a 2mm offset!
This review is pure gold! Thank you Jake. I have 3 pairs of these shoes and I love them.
Thank you! I was so pleasantly surprised with these, glad you like them, too
Great... but why 3 pairs? Different colors?

Hi! 🙋🏻♀️ do you try puma disperse xt 2 mesh?
I have not yet!
Hey ! How is the insole ? Is it soft ?
Yeah, it has a nice level of cushion to it. Helps make the ride a little more comfortable in this model!
How’s the Achilles/heel rub? Looks similar to the x1’s with the heel.
It’s not too bad, honestly. I never had rub issues with this model because the heel flares whereas the X1’s was much more structured!
Is it good for heavy squats and deadlift?
Decent! Better options on the market than this, though.
@@thatfitfriend suggest me please

I know I'm a bit late, but would these be alright for boxing classes due to them being a bit higher on the ankle?
They should be okay in that context!

Yeah it’s an odd thing from an aesthetics POV. I agree!
