You guys are great and thanks for playing this as I am waiting for my copy. Only a true gamer says “I apologize for the gray miniatures; I will get these painted up”. Amazing dedication! Warm Regards.
I have my copy a week ago and still have not pulled it out of the box yet. To busy at work. This weekend I will be playing. Thanks for another great tutorial, it's fun watching you guys play. Keep up the good work mate.
Great playthrough and very happy this is your next live game. It gives a massive Sleeping Gods vibe, so much story and interesting combat system but with a gritty fantasy continuous story. Love it!
Thank you spycom!! Sorry it took so long to respond. I totally agree with everything love the theme and the combat/diplomacy system will be fun with Colin! 😃😃👍
I’m trying to decide if I should watch this live playthrough, banking on the fact that some days I can’t even remember my own name, or avoid any spoilers altogether. (To be fair the only thing I remember from the Oathsworn playthrough is 10 reroll tokens and Rrrrrrubio!)
Can't wait to start watching this on my lunch break!! Still waiting on my copy to arrive! It's like pulling teeth waiting on this delivery. At least I have videos to hold me over
That’s the hardest part knowing it’s out there and you want to play it. I hope you get your game soon!!! You deserve it!!! I hope you had a good lunch.😃😃👍
Thanks Paul!! It awesome to hear from you. After I finished recording I went and watched your video. It’s so interesting how many different ways things can happen in this game. Thanks for all that you do. 😃😃👍
Me again i have 2 combat cards that belong to Osbert, "Gathering Strength" and "Ace in the Hole" i am hoping you can help me figure out how they play? on Gathering Strength is says when you place this card with that arrow down icon on that circle you may burn a card to draw a new card. so, i guess the question do i burn the last card in sequence which would be the card before i play Gathering Strength or do i burn Gathering Strength? also on Ace in the Hole same thing when you place the card burn a card and up to twice more. do i burn Ace in the Hole first or is burning all previous cards before Ace in Hole starting with last in sequence. love the game but this is a kink i need to figure out. any clarification again would be great. Thanks Pete
sorry it took so long to get back to you I wanted to make sure I had the cards in front of me. So yes those 2 cards have the when played symbol and followed by a discard symbol and yes those would be the cards discarded gather strength has every skill icon on it and you MAY discarded it to draw a card if you were looking for something else. Ace in the hole does discard itself when played but can also discard other cards in the chain which could uncover a card that could help or discard another different card that has a discard effect. There are so many ways the chain can advance and be manipulated. So that was a long way of saying yes you burn gathering strength to draw a card. And yes the first card burned is Ace in the holes. Hope that helped sorry it took so long. Please ask another question you have I would be happy to help. and thanks for watching 😃😃😗
Hey my friends and I started our first playthrough as 4 in this game a few days ago, was looking through this video to see if we misplayed in terms of rules of the game, I noticed at 1:57:41 for "Gather Latent Powers" you said that your character would gain 1 magic for each point of spirituality, is this the correct way to play? In our playthrough, after paying the energy cost for this, we awarded 1 Magic for every party member that had point(s) in spirituality. Similarly, in Reflected Town, when we paid the energy cost & wealth to gain HP, we awarded 3 HP to all the party members. Was not really able to get clarification regarding this from the rulebook, maybe because of a language barrier, or just simply missing it, so Im curious about your thoughts regarding this.
Sorry it took so long to get back to you. I am at a loss as well. When I did the recording I think I did it right but I could have done it wrong and I can’t find anything to support what I did. The forums section on board game geek could help clarify this. Sorry I’m not much help. Thanks for watching and again sorry for the delay in my response
It is because the symbols on the card are after the enemy attacks destroy a card. Then based on where I was in the amount of red cubes I had on the monster or it was a monster ability it has a had to discard a card. I could be wrong about it but that was why I did that. Hope that helps thanks for the great question and thanks for watching!!! 😃😃👍
@@MeetMeAtTheTable Thanks for the reply. It seems that monster ability doesn't have any "discard a card" symbols except for the opportunity attack section (which did not occur since you played a card). I may be looking at this wrong or missing something though, just started my first run haha.
@russian9260your welcome sorry it took so long to get back to you. I think the discard card is on the ability card itself. Not on the monster hope that makes sense let me know if was wrong about that thanks
I'm playing through with Elgan and Iunis - just started properly yesterday, after a few days I have a good amount of food and magic, some wealth, and I have seen all the "Cold Heart" options for getting past Wagenburg, but I can't help but feel that I have missed something around a way to pass without paying the toll or hurting everyone. 😢
That’s the cool thing about this game. There are so many different solutions to a problem. It all depends on the choices you make. Next time you replay it if you do you could explore other ways to solve the problem. I will tell you my solution was different from yours I believe. Thanks for the great comment and thanks for watching 😃😃👍

I am playing King of Ruins along with this video! First Time playing Tainted Grail. Question? In Combat if you have no other cards that don't have the GREEN ICON with LIGHTNING BOLT can i still play it or these cards can only be played after the first card that connects as stated in rules? "OR" does the bottom FREE KEY MULTPLIER always connects and you just cant use the GREEN ICON LIGHTNING BOLT bonuses? Example being Gerdwyn Defend Card which has 2 GREEN ICON LIGHTNING BOLTS one under Magic and the other Practicality. Can i still use it as a first card because of the FREE KEY MULTIPLIER? any clarification would be great! don't want to play this game with any advantages that are due to my misinterpretation of combat rules! Thanks Pete
Thank for the great question. I'll do my best to answer it. So you always get to play one card. Nothing has to match I could do nothing for you but you get to play one on your activation. If you want to play more on your turn you have to link the Brown lighting bolt to either a skill icon on the previous card that you have on your player board, or the brown lighting bolt has to connect to the free key at the bottom of the card that has at least a X1 on the previous card. If the brown lighting bolt is in the magic slot and the previous card has a magic link to it you can spend a magic to be able to play that next card. I hope that helps please let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks for watching
