Glad to have found your channel. I've been curious about these posture correctors because I'm at the age where the slump is noticeable and I fear the dowager's hump down the road. :-( I'm also concerned about how these devices are worn as I have Tendonitis in both shoulders where if they are held in one position too long, they get very stiff and sore. Before your video started, there was an ad for a device that claimed back and shoulder exercises make the situation worse. Of course they are trying to sell product but how ridiculous to claim that exercise is bad. Appreciate your honesty with your product reviews. :)
I really hope you get on top of this now then. It is amazing what changes we can make and how it frees our body up. The work is tedious, but it only gets harder down the road. I do teach weekly classes if you want to check one out. The first class is free. You can see the info on my website and then message me there. I have a couple other posture corrector videos that might be good to also watch. I really like the one I tested here, but not without the 3-Lock Mountain. They just don’t exercise our muscles and that is what will hold the structure. That and the right stretches to counter the tight muscles. Some people need everything to make the changes. So each person will be different. Have you had a posture assessment yet? Check out my new community post to see a before and after on a new student in my posture program. It really depends on each person and the degree of their postural dysfunction. Some people need minimal intervention for a month and others need 6-9 months. For people who have sever curvature of the spine, multiple structural discrepancies, disabilities, muscular imbalances, unresolved injuries with scar tissue build up, chronic illness, and the like, it can take years. Other people need to help of an actual posture specialist who can give them exercises and stretches specific to their postural dysfunction(s). Depending on time and money, this can take a month to a few years. And lastly, there are people whose structural dysfunction is so severe, it cannot fully be corrected. I still recommend these people work on their posture and to focus on making changes to normalize and balance their structure and muscles ongoing. That means forever. I hope this answers your question. Really good one. I should cover this in a video at some point.
Hi Ashley, First of all, thank you for the thorough videos. They are very valuable as a viewer. As for the Gearari posture corrector: I think the link you have shared directs to a different product of the same manufacturer. My question is, if you have had the chance to try that product (probably a newer version) and thus, can "vouch" for it? Thank you in advance. Kind regards, A guy from Denmark 🇩🇰
You bet. I will check on the link. I don't know why they change them sometimes. I am thankful for viewers like you who let me know. I have tried the one in this video and the other videos I have done on posture correctors. I cannot vouch for any others at this time. This PB is the only one I like so far.
I looked at the PB on the link and it is the newer version of the product. I honestly have not tried this one, but the only difference is that it looks like they added more support to the upper curve of the back spine of the brace. That will give it a little more form and stability against the front being pulled back. If you watch my video about what to look for in a posture brace, you will see what I look for and why. With that said, I will go ahead and give this new one a try to make sure it still upholds my standards. Thanks again for giving me a heads up.
Hi Ashley, Thanks for replying back within such short time, and for your honesty. In that case, we might wait and order after you have tested the new model. Could be, that the new one is even better. 😃 Thanks again. 🙂
Abby Taylor The one in this video is the PC I am currently recommending until I find something I like better. The link is in the description box below the video or in my website under the STORE tab.
It depends. The focus is on encouraging the shoulders back. If there is a muscular imbalance, I am not sure there is enough evidence that shows a rebalancing of the muscles from using this product. We really need to correct muscular imbalances through intentional corrective exercise (3-Lock Mountain). There are other issues I would consider as well, but that is one quick thought. Hope that is helpful. Great question!
It might if used for a period of time and the postural discrepancy is from a muscular imbalance and not a structural issue or bone break. I would also highly recommend corrective exercises and stretches that will assist in an optimal outcome.
Hi JJ, First I want to thank you for doing that work as it is not a job that everyone can manage well. Your balance is essential, so if you think your posture is incorrect, a posture corrector can provide some support and gentle correction throughout your work day. I wouldn't suggest wearing one all day for the first week, but gradually increasing the amount of time you wear it for the first week and then see if the following week provides opportunity to wear it for a longer period of time. Please make sure to watch my newest posture corrector review and recommendation as the posture corrector in the video you watched here has been replaced and I am not a fan of it. I have a new recommendation and the link is in the drop box for my newest video as well as on my website TPS wellness shop page. @@theposturespecialist3LM Thanks! I'll have a look at your website.
does bad neck posture cause small lower jawline??...
I have not heard about poor neck posture impacting the size of the jaw. Did you read something or hear something that led you to believe this?
@@theposturespecialist3LM no I was just wondering because I kinda have a bad neck posture and my lower jawline is kinda small but when I push my neck back forward my lower jawline matches my top lip
they are not comfy under armpits :( help
Did you try the one in my most recent video? Let me know if you need a remote session to go over posture basics and possible fitting of whichever braces you have currently.
How long does it take to correct posture? weeks, months, or years
It really depends on each person and the degree of their postural dysfunction.
@@theposturespecialist3LM Thanks for the information it's really helpful
o.g.- Reala You bet!
Hi Ashley,
First of all, thank you for the thorough videos. They are very valuable as a viewer.
As for the Gearari posture corrector: I think the link you have shared directs to a different product of the same manufacturer.
My question is, if you have had the chance to try that product (probably a newer version) and thus, can "vouch" for it?
Thank you in advance.
Kind regards,
A guy from Denmark 🇩🇰
Hi Ashley,
Thanks for replying back within such short time, and for your honesty.
In that case, we might wait and order after you have tested the new model.
Could be, that the new one is even better. 😃
Thanks again. 🙂
What is the best posture corrected that you recommend??
Abby Taylor The one in this video is the PC I am currently recommending until I find something I like better. The link is in the description box below the video or in my website under the STORE tab.
The Posture Specialist thank you so much! I will purchase via the link in your store. I appreciate your expertise and accessibility 😊
Can it fix uneven shoulders?
It can actually, but long term you need to train your muscles to control the structure without the posture corrector.
Ima scaffolder I know I have bad posture would this help, I work 8hours a day very physical environment
Hi JJ,
First I want to thank you for doing that work as it is not a job that everyone can manage well. Please let me know if you have any other questions or if I can support your posture wellness any further. Happy posturing!!

There is only one size for this one. There are extension straps that come with it. I show them in this video.

9 bucks on eBay-- Don’t buy anything you don’t have to on Amazon PLEASE.
Thank you for the input. I encourage all of my viewers and subscribers to make purchases that have credible reviews and from businesses that can be verified and rated. With eBay, there is no real way to review a product or business/person who is selling the product. Make sure that wherever you make your purchase that you can dispute it, if need be, with your credit card company. Don’t use a personal debit card...hackers can more easily access your bank account. If you spend $9 on eBay, you also pay for S&H and maybe even more. Add it all up and weigh the costs/benefits. Just a few thoughts and tips on the matter. Be wise. Be safe. Do it all with good posture😁🌺
@@theposturespecialist3LM You’re simply wrong,, I’ve purchased literally thousands of things on eBay with no problem whatsoever- the very few times I’ve returned things there was zero problem there either,, no one uses credit cards on eBay, only paypal. Amazon is a dangerous monopolistic monster.
@@ambroulard I am so happy that you have had a good eBay experience. I haven’t personally and it is my reputation that I have to answer for, but I really do appreciate your input. I hope you are finding great success with your posture and any pain management that you might need. Stay safe and healthy!🌺

Hi do u have video for sway back posture
Hi Ginz, I am in the process of editing an APT video and will have it out in the next week or two. For now the best Playlists are the Posture Basics and 3-Lock Mountain series on my channel. Get the 3-Lock Mountain down. Watch the video on your bodyweight distribution...you can check the bottoms of your shoes to see your wear and tear and this will help you to better correct. I can give you the link if you would like? Do you stand or sit a lot?
@@theposturespecialist3LM hello dear I really appreciate your reply... I'm having lot of pelvic floor issues currently.. Hard flaccid/pudental nurelgia..so I'm trying to improve my posture plus strengthen my muscles around pelvic floor..
