This was my first ebike, until i upgraded to a dual motor monster. The engwe is a great bike for ripping around town. For anyone thinking about buying this bike, id recommend swapping the handle bars out for bmx handlebars. Improves the handling 100%
first thing is buy flat out because you will get a flat, two you will have lots of noise from your rear fender. and three make sure your bolts are tight. they will fall out.
Hi, great review! I got an Engwe Engine X recently. I also get the metallic noise, but only when I'm at a speed of around 20 kmh, and it seems to me it's coming from the breaks, not the engine, as i hear it from the back as well as the front. My bike has mechanical breaks though. I tried loosening them a bit, but didn't seem to change anything. Also, doesn't Engine Pro have an 8 gears shimano shifter? And if so, does it feel like you can contribute by pedalling at a speed of 25 kmh (15.5 mph - EU legal limit), with my entry level shifter I'm just ghost pedalling at that speed, unless I go all out, which I can't do long term.
"Unfortunately, you can't turn on the bike without the key". "And luckily, the key does lock in when the power is on". Make up your mind mate, do you want the key off with the bike turned on, or not? :D Just messing, great review!
