ALWAYS a pleasure to watch an experienced artist at work!
And that must be the understatement of the year......😋😋.....'the clients get really, really good value for money.'
Haha cheers Tom 💛💙💜🍻
strongest fingers in the buisness 😉 Great work!
Haha cheers, its mostly thumb strength tbh 😂😂 👍
Amazing work ❤
Thank you Sofia 🩷🧡💛
Прекрасная работа!!
Cheers buddy 🧡
👍👍👍

There is so much involved in your art..So beautiful.. and I hope that this art will never be lost..great design 🥰
Oh there are lots of people that still make! Just not so many who make videos as well 😂🫶🫶
@LightLeadedDesigns that's super to hear..And videos are awesome, don't stop 💛💚
Beautiful again. The satisfaction you must get from such creativity.
I love it when a plan comes together 🍻💜
So beautiful! Yeah, stained glass artists never get paid nearly as much as they’re worth. Clients just don’t see the amount of skills and background work needed to make even the simplest pieces, be it foiled or leaded work.
Definitely Austin, I picked the wrong career if I want to be rich 😂😂
Fantastyczne 😊. Chciałabym nauczyć się tej techniki tworzenia witraży. Do tej pory techniką mi znaną to techniką Tiffany'ego
It's technically name are 'leaded lights' if your looking into them 🍻
Somewhere in a quiet Pennsylvania suburb, there is a house that, in reality, could be a little bit cleaner, a little bit more often if only the lady of the house wasn't watching some guy transform ordinary bits of glass into beautiful works of art that some lucky people get use as a portal in their everyday lives from home to the world.
Just thought you should know. 😉 Keep up the magic ✨️
Haha great comment TROFB 🍻 to be brutally honest my house is a mess but my workshop is fairly clean 😂🫶
@LightLeadedDesigns 😂 I'm glad you have your priorities straight, though!
Jan, really enjoy your channel. The use of colour in your designs is always excellent. Thanks 🙏
Cheers Tony, can't go wrong with the classic red borders ❤️❤️💜💙❤️❤️
The glass blobs are cabochons
They'll always be glass blobs to me 😂😂😂
Fantastic work as always! I appreciate you talking us through some of the further details, very interesting. Have a wonderful vacation and hope to see you back at it after your return.
Cheers Herb, lovely to hear people don't mind hearing me waffling 😂.. Holidays have been lovely so far 🌞🍻🌞
Jan,
Can you make a video covering the design prep and through the paper patterns design-- all the preparation before you start the cutting of the glass and lead?? Thanks!!
I've thought about it but it's a very long and drawn out process with not much action to be seen so it wouldn't make a very interesting video 🤔
Is it possible that I can please ask your advice? Not sure if you are happy that subscribers ask questions about personal projects? I
Am also making 5 panels for a victorian front door so things need to come together this being the front entrance of their house.
It's a tricky one really, I'm always struggling for time on my own projects. I not sure if I'm able to go into great detail on others work. But cheers for asking 🫶
Love this one. I had a technical design question, should i be keeping my points open a bit so that i dont have to cut weird angles in the came so much. I see the points of your blue compass are kind of square on the glass end but with the came on they look pointed. Is that just preference or is it the way its supposed to be done?
I always lead my joints so there are a little of a 'gap' as possible. This makes the soldering as tidy as possible 🍻
900 joints!!! Oh my goodness! It's so beautiful work, I bet they're very pleased with it too. 🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤
With this amount of soldering you get a bad back just from sitting there for so long 😂
Awesome work! I'm just starting to make stained glass and I love being inspired by you! Please, what brand of cement do you use to seal the glasses?! Thank you for your answer.
I mix my own but it's a very similar recipe to the ones you can find with a Google search for 'leaded light window cement recipe' 💙💜💚

Good work I am glass worker my shop in punjab plz help I want to learn this work and do it in India.
I wonder if there are any glass schools in India with the British colonialism back I the day there must be leaded light window work somewhere in India
I've had trouble with Wissmach where their cornflower blue transparent was really chippy. Im going to start recording what glasses cut well and what doesn't.
Some glass is an absolute nightmare.. I have the most trouble with reproduction antique cathedrals normal from not anneling correctly 💜
So satisfying watching this process. Thank you and they are beautiful
Cheers John thanks for watching and have a great weekend 🫶
Beautiful. So so colourful. Bet you enjoyed making this one. Well done😊
It's bloody gorgeous this one! I'm just hoping the clients send me piccys of it fitted 😂🫶
Made a piece with the foil. Have a grinder now and ready to start a bigger piece with came. Even bought a glass fusing kiln . I just love your color choices!
Cheers buddy and good luck with the lead work 🍻💛💜🧡
Brother! Thanks for making the videos.
I saw a few pop up on shorts, and had to binge your channel! A real pro.
You inspired me to try stained glass, just finished soldering on my first panel yesterday. Loved it and it came out awesome. Thanks again, from a cousin across the pond.
Bloody awesome! I do love hearing stories like this! Super proud to be inspiring 🤜💥🤛
Amazing work! You are a natural! I am currently making the last 3 smaller panels out of 5 panels for a front door and have a quick question for you. I’m stuck on the design for the smaller panels. How do you go about designing your patterns? Do you use software such as Affinity? I’ve started drawing by hand but it’s not that easy to reduce the size of the original pattern (found online & consists of 67 pieces) to fit a much smaller panel and get all the measurements accurate! You did say at the beginning of the video the design process in making stained glass is a big part of the project & I absolutely get that.
I do use a brilliant little program but it's one I had made a few years ago by a friend and it still cost a small fortune 😂. Design wise it's really just practice and repetition. For traditional projects take lots of inspiration from original vintage designs
I've never seen this before, but I'm so glad to have found your channel. The designs are amazing and I love watching the process!
Awww cheers for joining the party Cheryl 😂🍻
I knew this was going to be a beautiful set! Love love love the colour choices! ❤
Colours on point 💛💙❤️🩷🧡💚💜
Any suggestions/tips to someone who wants to try getting into this?
As a compete beginner I always recommend people join a few of the stained glass groups on facebook. I'm a member of many of them and there is a huge amount of information to be found in those 🍻
@@LightLeadedDesigns Sounds good, cheers man; love your work and thanks for the lead!
Bom dia grande amigo, parabéns por mais um lindo trabalho que vc nós demostra
Aww thanks for the appreciation 🍻
Love it! Thanks for the video
Thank you buddy 🤎💚💙
Jan, thank you for sharing so much info, I love your work & videos! I must also say thank you, thank you for letting people know how much work goes into a glass piece. So many just don't realize how many hours go into them. Thanks! ❤️
Cheers Sheila, I'm always asked how many hours in a particular project but I'd always rather not count them😂🫶
@LightLeadedDesigns I am the same way! I am too embarrassed to admit how many 😳
Beautiful work as always. Would it be possible to point me in the direction of any reputable/go-to supplies outlet for all things stained glass? I’ve been wanting to start it as a hobby. The usual google search terms brings back plenty of places, but each place seems so limited in offerings. Not many colours, only very small pieces of glass etc. kind regards
It really does depend on where you are in the world. Here in the UK we have several really good suppliers who deliver 🤍💜💛
@@LightLeadedDesigns Im in the UK too
Jan, would you do a quick informational on how you plan and print your large cartoons for your windows? Thanks
To be honest its couldn't ever be a quick tutorial. There is a huge amount of time and work involved it wouldn't make a very interesting video for UA-cam.. Maybe in the future I'll put together some sort of information on everything that I do but it would have to be somesort of paid subscription type thing as I'd be giving away 27+ years of experience and practice 🍻
@@LightLeadedDesigns Thanks Jan, completely understand. Your Utubes are great to watch, your craftsmanship superb and inspirational!
Браво,как всегда красивая работа!!!
Cheers 🍻🍻🍻
