    Love watching people put mortar down on dirty bricks without washing the dirt off first, then it doesn't stick all that well.

    Potato rumblers are great if you work in a kitchen that serves a lot of chips (or mash I guess!), but the potatoes have to be a fairly regular shape to be peeled completely in the machine.

      We have some hydraulic lifters we have tried them on this cover but it still would not budge

    🤨 - strange, putting potato peel into the drain/sewage, in a domestic home we simply peel the potatoes and throw the “peel” onto the compost heap/into counsel compost bin, you’d think they would have that “potato rumbler” machine pouring onto some unique composting thing, as we could see the “blockage” was caused by the potatoe peel attempting to turn itself into compost in the drain. The only similar thing to this was the “waste disposal unit” quite popular in the 🇺🇸, but not over there

      I feel like that would be better, waste disposal units are rare in the UK but i have seen a few, usually in the expensive houses

    Not sure where you’re located?
    Did you have to attend some sort of trade school, or do a mentoring program?
    Lots more involved than just unblocking drains.
    Another nice video

    Isn't there a monitor which can notify the caretakers of that last job when the man hole is full?

    • @Keep_itflowing
      @Keep_itflowing  4 місяці тому

      There probably is but i suppose it wouldn't make a lot of difference as the drain is still going to block and we generally attend same day anyway

      I've seen an alarm in a basement to alert to potential flooding. It was a float that would rise up a post and complete a circuit when the float reached a certain height. No idea if that would work with sewage?

    • @Keep_itflowing
      @Keep_itflowing  4 місяці тому +1

      They have float switches in pump chambers to switch the pumps on and off and they also have floats for high level alarms but iv never seen a similar system in a manhole before.
