    So from my guess here:
We’re watching two different points in the same story.
The Inquisitor on his ship along with a contingent of veterans from the Reclaimers Chapter (Astartes own Personal Chapter No1 - as we see several more at the end) & the Astartes Strike Team on the rebel ship.
The Orb is from my guess Yu’vath - due to the similar design and abilities it has to what is described of the Yu’vath.
After sticking the orb with psychic connectors, it allowed the Inquisitors who has a captured one of these Yu’vath on his ship, to listen into a conversation both Yu’vath were having - the INQ one talking to the AST one about it needing to sever itself form the Astartes grasp. It is here that it also discovers the Inquisitor listening in when he alerts the Reclaimer Captain to retreat his Strike Team.
Needing the ability to escape, it attempts to take host the Inquisitor and succeeds... only to get smashed and cleansed by the two Reclaimers.
At the same time this happens, the orb after dropping its conversation, turns on the Astartes Strike Team and attempts to sever itself from them by pulling them into a warp based dimension of its own creation - since Yu’vath have no living material bodies besides the orbs, they are forced to still reside within the warp.
After absorbing the Astartes, it is holding onto them when - again guessing - it is killed by the psychic backlash of its brother dying - we can guess these two are pared in a way as from the vision it shows several of the cult psykers from EP4, and from what we can glimpse from them they work in bonded pairs (as to why both cut off apposing arms and share a psychic link).
After being killed, it teleports them to a location of the Valley of the Forgotten Kings - we see hundreds of large alien like beings sitting upon thrones in a large valley - The Astartes strike team teleported their because... well that’s still needs to be speculated. But we do know it’s not just him as before the scene cuts away, we see several more flashes on the pillars in front of him - guessing that it’s his other brothers appearing.
As for the body, i can have two guesses:
    1. The metal body is a old age man of iron that the rebels are pulling apart and using to craft their mask from and feed/cover the Yu’vath with (least likely)
    2. The body is being constructed from the same materials as the rebels mask. The reason they’d do this is that Yu’vath - as I’ve said before - have no real presence in the material world, only the immaterium. However, if a body was to be constructed for it and it posses it like it’s brother did with the inquisitor - I’m guessing the reason the Inquisitor acted like that was due to the Yu’vath being to strong/much for the human body to posses as such it was probably burning him out from the inside.
However, a body created for one out of unknown material that psykers use. Now that may be more fulfilling.

They have 2 orbs and they were talking to each other :
      Orb 1(inquisition) "who is there"
Orb 2 "I have failed brother"
      O1 "We have all failed"
O2 "The Astartes deny our touch"
      O1 "We must return"
      O2 "Break your shield"
O1 "Impossible, we will not survive"
      O2 "You must take them"
Then the O2 starts absorbing the Astartes to transport them somewhere.
The Inquisitor says to the Leader "Recall them immidiately" before getting the feedback loop.
So the 5 Astartes are on the rebel ship where O2 is, while the Inquisitor is on the Astartes ship with O1.
But as to what the spheres are - no idea. Doesn't seem to be demonic. They won't talk like this between themselves.
Doubt it's C'tan. Maybe is something we just have never seen before :)

A few things: those "balls" aren't c'tan, since the Warp is an anathema to them - the proverbial "warp fuckery" is one the few things that can harm them. And the balls are clearly warp-connected (the scene where the kill team enters the room and there is a "glass breaking"? That's ice (most propably), you can also see how the exhaust of the power armors condence as they move on, another sign of low temperature . Both signs of warp energies at play.
The statue is made from something very conspicuously similar to the "psychic hoods" the two psykers wore, and that you can see all around the statue - someone mentioned also, that they may have DISMANTELED the statue, in order to use it as a material for those hoods.
The Astartes on the Imperium ship are the vetaran (1st company propably). The guy with the mantle can be a captain (hence the golden embellishments).
The balls themselves seem to be Yu'Vath. Psychic, warp-tainted xenos, that had a run-in with the imperium, they basically enslave others with the warp-fuckery powers (hence the psychic "blasts" you see as the kill team gets near the ball) - it tried to dominate the Astartes, but failed. Again, during the dialoge between both Yu'Vath one of them said: "The Astartes deny our touch", meaning: they cannot be dominated. The other humans on the ship however... may as well be psychic-slaves. So they got the Emperors Mercy from the hands and bolters of the kill team. Just like the inquisitorial psyker, who basically sacrificed himself to warn his "guards" about the plan to snatch the kill team members by the "free" Yu'Vath as it tried to escape - "You must take them!" part in the dialogue (one of the theories for this is, that the escape would lead through the warp, and the astartes were to be kind of sacrificial insurance, in case any ot the warp's native creatures would show up - just toss an astartes at them and run away). In the end all that backfired, as before the Yu'Vath could do anything it was blasted (killed possibly) by the inquisition psyker (pay atention to the black "mist" that blasted the Yu'Vath - that was how the psykers powers manifested as he started to eavesdrop on the xenos. He got possesed, but just before that disrupted the fleeing Yu'Vath, saved all of the kill team members (you can see the teleportation flashes on the pillars as the scene pans to the wide shot), but the veterans on the ship did the thing they had to - and ended him.

The white helmet is used by many (but not all) chapters to denote veterans. Also note that the other veteran with the Captain (the one who shoots the psyker) is wearing the older Mk VI pattern armour, easily identified by the "beak" on the helmet, in contrast to everyone else who is wearing the newer Mk VII pattern. It's probably what he was issued when he was first promoted to a full Battle Brother, and if it's served him this long, he sees no need to change his gear at this point, when he's just gotten used to it.
A few chapters still make extensive use of the much older Mk IV armour, as although it's less capable than newer models, it is much more heavily armoured, and is more suited to fighting whatever variety of Xenos scum is prevalent in their particular corner of the Hell that is the Galaxy

The Inquisitorial symbol is the "I" device seen on the back of the psykers robe, as part of his rosary as he is meditating in front of the captured orb, and very briefly in part 1 when the Marine is shown purifying his bolter, also as part of his personal rosary

Everything they is make constructed of a crystalline or ceramic material that resembles natural or fossilised bone. 18. Blue tentacle looks like it goes into the marines, you can faintly see blue light in the sgt abdomen when he reappears.
    19. Red eyelens is dead, armour or helmet has lost power.
    20. Strange patterns appear in the marines spit and bile. some say its blood, i say its part of the creature.

I'm not a patron so I can't confirm, but people have said that the creator mentioned the orbs are something he came up with himself - so not Yu'vath, if that's true. It's worth noting that it doesn't *have* to be something that already exists in 40k lore - there's plenty of dead, ancient civilizations and weird xenos/warp creatures, and entire regions of space meant to be largely unexplored and unexplained so that things like this *could* be used in storytelling (like the Halo Stars and Ghoul Stars).
The "black things" are reminiscent of the shadows surrounding the Inquisitor when he "taps in" to the orb - it might be him somehow saving the marines, though it could just as easily be related to the creature in the orb, or be unexplained phenomena or a warp predator of some kind.
The "patterns" in the blood are blood clots he's coughing up. Space Marine blood clots much faster than normal human blood, so that they can recover from wounds more quickly.

Remember Arier, the inquisition has the authority to go up to any Astartes chapter to commission their service for their work. Not sure that works so well with the Space Wolves anymore, but my point stands. So technically Grey knights and Death Watch aren’t the only Astartes they can call on. The Astartes in this show are more than likely a successor chapter operating in that corner of space, thus giving the creator flexible room to work new lore based in the 40k universe. And don’t forget helmets painted different from the main armor usually denotes veteran rank members.

The I on the Marine's head inside that symbol denotes he is of the Chapter's first company. Possibly the Chapter Master or at least an important Captain of the Retributors. While most chapter elite are embalmed in more livery and gold than you can shake a stick at, the Retributors seem to be very conservative with their uniforms, making it more likely than usual for it to be the Chapter Master.

    @jacobyin5320 4 роки тому +5

The creator plans on making an anthology series of space marines, this is the end of the Retributors Arc, but he said he might do something with them in the future. The after credits shows other chapters, mostly fanon, that he plans on working with. The inquisitor is most likely of the Ordo Xenos or Ordo Hereticus, which means no Grey Knights, the spheres are suspected to be of Yu'Vath origin, watch Arch Warhammer's video for more info. The glass cracking was Hoarfrost, a sign of warp influence and psychic phenomena.
    Convo between orbs;
    "Who is there?"
"I have failed brother, we have all failed. The Astartes deny our touch. You must return, break your seal."
"Impossible. We will never survive. You must take them."
    Inquisitor: "Recall them immediately!" *dies*
The Yu'vath were a xenos race that were corrupted and twisted by the warp, but were interestingly enough not Chaos Worshipers, they instead created a massive slave empire that was quashed during the Great Crusade, their technology is said to incorporate the vile energies of the warp with their own alien technology. It is rumored that many of their artifacts could even possess Daemonic Entities, while the brave and the foolish amongst the adepts of Mars who were allowed to examine such relics claim that their machine spirits... are wrong... if you get my drift. Some relics of the Yu'Vath can even open pinholes into a ship's Gellar Field, and during a warp storm, pinholes become... portals... You already know how that would end. The Astartes kill team was immediately bad touched into the no no dimension, where it is hypothesized that whatever was happening to them was interrupted, by what was most likely a warp entity, others claim that it went exactly as planned. If you look at the other plinths in the desert, you can see teleportation flashes of the Sergeant's, One Hand McGrand, team coming into real space with him, onto what is potentially an ancient Yu'Vath world. It isn't the warp, because they were able to survive longer than two seconds without being skull fucked by Daemons.
Just another reason why I love Warhammer, it is much MUCH more than just the tabletop, with thousands upon thousands of years worth of lore and history, from the obscure to the mundane, from the interesting to the outright horrifying. I have been watching your videos ever since you started watching TTS, and I am glad that even you and I have more to learn about this universe, for in the grim darkness of the 41st millenium, there is mostly lore.

3:52 The Corvus Pattern Helmet (aka Beakie) is a Mark 6, and one of the newer patterns available to the Astartes. They were highly favoured by the Raven Guard (hence "Corvus" for their Primarch, Corvus Corax) as the pattern of armour they came with was lighter than previous iterations with an advanced sensor suite, which perfectly complemented the Raven Guards' stealthy, hit-and-run ambush tactics.

The Orb looks strongly like living metal, which is what C'tan bodies were usually made of. The Golden "Statue" is also very similar to what the C'tan used as host bodies back in the day. When the Marines get sucked into the Orb, what we see doesn't have to be the Warp. The C'tan were known to be able to bend the ever living shit out of reality. Lastly the World they land in has a strong Necrontyr/Necron vibe, too strong to be a coincidence.

It's also entirely possible it's something Astartes made up just for this story, because the 40k universe is a galaxy full of insanity, and is deliberately mysterious and open-ended, allowing for other creative weirdness like this to happen within it.

    As for the end:
    We see three chapters:
    1. Well be following a Blood Angels Successor chapter for one story.
    2. Another from an unknown legion - the dragon can come from several chapter/legions traditions as such not easy to pick out (tho the symbol does look the the one used by the Draconis Combine in Battletech Lore, just black. Kind of cool if it is based off that)
    3. Now for the fun one. It’s either a Iron Hand Successor (very simple chapter symbol resembling their founders) or... its an Imperial Fists successors who symbol is the boney hand of Royal Dorn (yellow armour, with blue pauldron’s, and a white boney hand. Definitely IF successors). And the Astartes we see receives a burst of sharp blue tinted metallic objects that imbed in his pauldron like spikes... or shurikans. IH/IF vs Eldar for this one.

The black double arrow on his helmet marks him as a sergeant, while the brothers under him have white markings. In comparison, the Captain and his squad member have the crux on their helmets and pauldrons, marking them as Veterans, with the gold laurels on the Captain's helmet establishing his rank. As the other episodes show they make their way to the sphere. There is an inquisitor of some type hooked up to the sphere that the Retributors have on their ship. He is using it to eavesdrop and hears that the strike team is in danger. That is where you see the one space marine runoff. The inquisitor get's possessed and they killl him. I am with the side that theorize the orbs were c'tan shards. My guess at the plot is that the shard had made a cult to serve him and make a new body for it but the Astartes interfered probably using the imprisoned shard to find the cult. Then there is the great scene where the two shards talk to each other and the prisoner tells the other to flee into what I think is the warp. The Shard drags the Marines with it but in the warp the c'tan is attacked by demons and the marines are scattered in the warp to worlds unknown.

The sphares are most likely are Yu'Vath origin.
The actual Yu'Vath are in the warp, and these spheres are their protection from warp entities and, at the same time, an anchor to the realspace. Two of them got captured by the Retributors/Inquisition (there is a second shackled sphere next to the first one, if you look closely). The third one is about to get captured as well. The Yu'Vath from the captured sphere warns his "brother" that Astartes cannot be mind-controlled (the main weapon of Yu'Vath), so he needs to break his seal and escape throug warp, least he be captured as well. The second Yu'Vath is afraid to do so, so the first one suggests to capture the kill-team to use them as bait for warp entities. The second Yu'vath tries to do exactly that, but when he tries to teleport (probably to one of the Yu'Vath planets), he draws too much attention and gets eaten by a demon. The astartes get thrown out of the warp to the place the Yu'Vath was actually trying to get to.
