"I can't buy you a three dollar balloon son, we're on a budget." he said as he proceeded to buy two ten dollar beers. 10/10 would disappoint again. Dad of the year.
WaywardInmate I apparently read your comment too quickly. I read He bought 2 10 dollar bears. I thought Well at least he bought the kid a couple teddy bears. Sigh.
That was... just a really nice story. these things usually give me chills but this one gave me some warmth in my heart. i wish it didn't take death threats to make people be good to their kids.
ThatRandom Artist Actually, it is not fully known how long the human body can go without sleep before it kills you, (accidents not being taken into account). One student set the record at eleven days and lived to tell the tale… www.scientificamerican.com/article/how-long-can-humans-stay/
This was just too adorable. I was grinning at the part where the skullies left some chocolate for the lil kid. Was anyone else willing to roll with the idea everything in the carnival was real and supernatural, just really fucking nice? And the dad was like, "Ugh. Paper mache." But the monsters and ghost were actual factual, and dad was just a flawed narrator? I'm rollin' with this. You guys can't stop me
That was really good! An actual story rooted in reality that didn't use any clichés or outright gore. Though not exactly horror (it's more of a heartwarming redemption story a kin to "A Christmas Carol"), it dealt with horror themes and played with my expectations.
A 5 yr old story and performance? Doesn't change a thing ..it is still spectacular!🎉🎉🎉one of the best i have ever heard and it was so sweet too! Thank you thank you thank you CTFDN team for setting the bar so high!..❤❤❤🎃🎃🎃🔥🔥🔥💐💐💐
Wow! Really great story and narration! Not only was it creepy, it had a deep meaning within the story. At the end though, some questions are still unanswered, making you think the story through again and again. Thank you for this story! :)
I now love the person who wrote this. This story was adorable. The demonic voice announcing each section was a bit much, but other than that, this was fucking awesome. The narration was perfect.
I loved this story! I don't care, I loved it. My step dad was was a REAL horrific jerk and I would have enjoyed bringing him here!! Thanks for the smile!
Great voice acting, yo!!! I wish I was confident enough to read stories like this, I mean I do a pretty good British accent but you have a bunch of different styles. Thanks for the entertainment, dude!!!
Love the story. It was very amazing. The way you guys narrated the story is awesome. I was just hoping that the father would have been tortured a little to truly learn a lesson. But amazing narration to a great story.
Hi, Ricky. Thanks for the request. We would love to do this one; it's a bit long, so it might be a bit, but we'll add it to the queue for you. Any particular narrator you would prefer?
I know the beginning is training to paint the dad in a certain light. But as an uncle I can only emphasize. Even the “shaking some sense into him” when the kid decided to just run off into the ride - depending on age of the child.
wow that was probably one of the best stories i have ever listened to on youtube. i liked how it wasnt all crazy with ghosts and monsters and shit. it felt real and that is what makes it creepier
This was pretty cool, I liked hearing all the different voices for all the character's. A lot of the time I think that is what other stories are lacking! Plus strangers sticking up for kids with shitty parents is awesome! Wish someone would have done this to my piece of shit father! (Turned into a giraffe I mean😊)😉
WOW some things just get better with age that is a gr8 story awesome narrating that was a total honour an pleasure to listen to big thank you loved it 😍🖤👄
Im really fed up of people commenting how un scary this and other creepy pastas /scary story reading are.Differnt things scare differnt people so just because it doesnt scare you doesnt mean its not scary.I wasn't scared by this story and its okay to say that but that doesn't make this story shit.People work really hard on these story's and i think some people need to do more constructive criticisms rather than trying to seem cool by making over the top unhelpful comments. I really wish haunted house this cool where around,If i was rich id make one! love dat cockney ghost thou
For real yo, if you're just here to hate on the story don't bother listening to it and find another one! I wish I could write stories like these, I mean I know damn well that I'm really good at making up stories (I used to tell my ex random stories when we would be in bed with mothing to do, and she would always tell me that I was good at making them up! Even when she left she always commended me for the stories I would tell her. Anyway getting back to my comment.) I'm just super lazy when it comes to writing/ typing them out. P.s. Doesn't the guy that cracled his knuckles sor of sound like Joe from Family Guy?! Lol!
+June Clemments Though I found the story somewhat scary, overall I was more impressed with it than anything else. It's so refreshing for the "villain," - for lack of a better term - to have an actual, legitimate reason to go after the protagonist.
My my first ex-husband and the father of my son is now in recovery, but for the duration of our marriage was an abusive drunk. This story is brilliant. I so wish it had been written and read to me during the bad times. I think my son and I would have memorized it. Excellent!!!!! --Dharke
This story is kinda true in a way. There is a biker gang that helps children in the same way. If they suspect in anyway that a child is mistreated, they keep the child from the " parent(s) or stranger". Like they don't force the child away. For example, if the child is in a house or store with the "parent(s) or stranger" they surround the place and block all exits or follow them until the police arrive. They also help children in need too. I don't remember their name but if you look it up, it shouldn't be hard to find. Just a cool fact.
Hey, everybody - just a reminder. If you enjoy this story, don't forget to check out the website for Daylight Dims, and consider buying a copy of your, either print or eBook, when it is released on 10/31. The book is FULL of great stories like this. We will be posting the others soon, but the authors would also appreciate your support. Thanks for listening!
The writing is detailed, the voice acting is realistic and the campfire gives the impression of listening late at night during a camping trip. I will have to brew a pot of coffee or tea in an enameled percolator as I cook an enameled stock pot of beans, diced ham, quarter sliced sausages, tomato puree, molasses, minced onions, diced green bell peppers, corn kernels, minced celery, minced garlic, mustard powder and a splash of bourbon. In a pair of cast iron Dutch ovens, I will bake a batch of yeast rolls and corn bread.
I think the 115 dislikes we're probably from the people that would have ended up in the basement of that fun house LOL awesome story have listened to it so many times
i liked the story very much it was a little bit to long but nothing that can even come close to making the expiriance bad :D XD cant wait for the next one
Fantastic story. Dad is a prick. lol That said, the narration is a bit inconsistent. The narrator is reading this like a chore, without any apparent involvement. Sounds like he's reading a book report he wrote to a class waiting for the final bell. Yet, all of the characters seem to be very into their roles.
I would have preferred if the dad was nice to his son because he loved him not because random people in a dungeon threatened him. STill a good listen though.
Sigh.
There's a very effective & permanent solution to such morons. One simply cannot be careless or identifiable.
the dad was a piece of shit
10 for 2
Alcoholism in a nutshell
That was by far the most heart warming and faith in humanity restoring story ever. Is it wrong that i would help the workers "teach" the dad a lesson?
not really the dad was a dick
That was... just a really nice story. these things usually give me chills but this one gave me some warmth in my heart. i wish it didn't take death threats to make people be good to their kids.
I agree with you cokemonster I wish this carnival was real
You really should man the human body cant live withought approx a week of sleep.
I read your name wrong lol
ThatRandom Artist Actually, it is not fully known how long the human body can go without sleep before it kills you, (accidents not being taken into account). One student set the record at eleven days and lived to tell the tale…

***** Oh. xD
The voices in this are fantastic. I can picture each character clearly in my mind through the different voices.
We DO need carnivals like this, as a victim of abuse from my father as a child, I would have loved this.
Donnie Kelley xoxo
'\(^_^)/' HUGS xoxo
Good story! I love the phrase the big guy said to the father about "monsters are real".
You guys can't stop me
That would be one sweet amusement park to go to
That was really good! An actual story rooted in reality that didn't use any clichés or outright gore. Though not exactly horror (it's more of a heartwarming redemption story a kin to "A Christmas Carol"), it dealt with horror themes and played with my expectations.

We need more carnivals like this, all over the world, with the same type of carnies :D
I'd agree with you there!
Those carnies made me smile so wide :) The drove the point home with a giraffe balloon. Genius.
Wow! Really great story and narration! Not only was it creepy, it had a deep meaning within the story. At the end though, some questions are still unanswered, making you think the story through again and again. Thank you for this story! :)
That guy with the pitchfork and devil horns was totally Tim Curry.
(Tim Curry snort)
I now love the person who wrote this. This story was adorable. The demonic voice announcing each section was a bit much, but other than that, this was fucking awesome. The narration was perfect.
I liked this story - I love the different voices, the background noises - it makes the story like a radio play. Very nice!
These are great. Would love for these to made into an actual show like
Tales From The Crypt or something like that.
This is honestly the cutest horror story I've ever heard like damn. Hell yeah, clowns protecting little kids.
I loved this story! I don't care, I loved it. My step dad was was a REAL horrific jerk and I would have enjoyed bringing him here!! Thanks for the smile!
Very well done production. I enjoyed the story. 👍👍
Great voice acting, yo!!! I wish I was confident enough to read stories like this, I mean I do a pretty good British accent but you have a bunch of different styles. Thanks for the entertainment, dude!!!
it was significantly different from what I expected, I like it
Love the story. It was very amazing. The way you guys narrated the story is awesome. I was just hoping that the father would have been tortured a little to truly learn a lesson. But amazing narration to a great story.
Very nice narrating, all the effects, the different voices and of course the story itself. I hope you keep making stuff like that.
you guys are getting awesome with all the voice editing and stuff! I can't wait for more!
I really liked this story! Excellent voice actors, a truly enjoyable half hour. Thanx CTFDN
💀👻😲
That would be one hell of a ameusement park to visit.
Idiot
*Coughs*To Jason: Of course I know it doesn't exist, i'm just saying if it did moron.>>
Jason Hubbs Really and your still keeping this up?
Jason i've been ignoring you this whole time, if you got a problem with me? Place me on ignore and be on your way.
Hi, Ricky. Thanks for the request. We would love to do this one; it's a bit long, so it might be a bit, but we'll add it to the queue for you. Any particular narrator you would prefer?
Excellent story. Anytime some creepy guy says.."It'll change yer life kid" take his word for it :D
Love the monster narrator voice! Great story... it's good to see characters fighting against child neglect!
I know the beginning is training to paint the dad in a certain light. But as an uncle I can only emphasize. Even the “shaking some sense into him” when the kid decided to just run off into the ride - depending on age of the child.
That story has a great moral!! All bad parents should hear it....
wow that was probably one of the best stories i have ever listened to on youtube. i liked how it wasnt all crazy with ghosts and monsters and shit. it felt real and that is what makes it creepier
I didnt expect this to be feelpasta lol I loved it great job!
Carnies ain't so bad after all! Well, not to kids at least.
is it just me, or does the stilts clown sound like the dog from catdog?
Boltaan'jistman just listen to the story and I totally agree with you.
This story was aces, and the haunted ride sounds like the coolest ever. I really really enjoyed this story.
This was a feel good horror for me. It was delightful and engaging. Well done.
The guy who showed Brian the room sounded sorta like Ross Scott from Freeman's Mind
omg lol the second clown voice made me lose my shit! i can't stop laughing at the voice! awesome voice acting! i love tis story.
I like stories like these :) Creepy enough to love but not scary enough you don't get sleep.
Love this one, thank you x
Really well done. All the voice actors were top notch and the story was great.
Wow. That was wonderful!
I would love to go to a haunted house like this!!
That was great! It would be awesome if there were people in the world watching out and getting involved
I believe I found my favorite story by you guys
This was pretty cool, I liked hearing all the different voices for all the character's. A lot of the time I think that is what other stories are lacking! I absolutely LOVE this story!!
Okay, the title reading totally made me laugh my ass off.
I can listen to this all day ! You guys do the best effect !
One of my favorites!!
+Annette Pitre Thanks for listening!
This may be the best story I’ve heard on CTFDN. And I’ve listened to a LOT of them. I like a lot of the older stories.
Freakin' great story man. Well read, and sneaks in that lesson too. Awesome. Thanks.
Thank you very much!

I do too. I really loved the atmosphere of this story.

Awesome story and excellent narration!
Wow I really enjoyed this one. It could be turned into a novella.
These stories are so freaking crazy and cool.
Really enjoyed this story, very well written.
Good job on the story loved it
Listened to this before... This is also a great version 😊
Loved this. The twist was great.
Thank you very much! We intend to.
Remember guys, the best relationships are born out of fear or torture. What a great moral.
Very good story, and extremely well read. Loved the English accents.
I love ❤️❤️❤️ 👻😈happy endings. Thank you for including this tale.
I have found another amazing spoken word horror channel, and it is this one. Yayuuuh!
Loved it!

"Does your son like dinosaurs?!" Right as I'm looking for references while I perfect my model T. Rex.
The ending was amazing ♡

I love this story.
I think the 115 dislikes we're probably from the people that would have ended up in the basement of that fun house LOL awesome story have listened to it so many times

Listening to this 9 years later and LOVE IT
Woohoo! Great one 😉
Half way through.. This is a really good story.
explanation of room B. was great. let's hope all them nasty mum's and dads think twice on how they their kids.
Beautiful!
This is one of my favorites!!
Very good story being a haunt actor myself i really enjoyed it
That was actually pretty good. It didn't really scare me, but it was interesting.
i liked the story very much it was a little bit to long but nothing that can even come close to making the expiriance bad :D XD cant wait for the next one
Dude this haunted house sounds awesome!
That was realy nice story. "Revel" gave my smile.
AWESOME....THAT'S JUST ME!!!! I LOVE THIS ONE.
Fantastic story. Dad is a prick. lol

You summed it up perfectly on the disparity regarding the narration. I hate to be critical, but there was a really noticeable difference.
The stilt clown voice almost killed me! XD
It's totally sounds like the voice of dog from catdog.
I. Fucking. Loved. This.
Shitheel of a dad straightened out through threats of physical pain. Gotta love that shit.
I would have preferred if the dad was nice to his son because he loved him not because random people in a dungeon threatened him. STill a good listen though.
3:04 its Dog from the show Catdog lol
Nah thats "Bitch Brian" (ive been watching too much Family Guy LOL!)
