its been a while since this game but if i recall correclty i rolled pretty terribly and dealt like 1 wound, i won the combat but vincent managed to roll really good for the crumble and he was left with a couple of wounds remaining i think.

Thank you very much! Will consider that when i manage to get the time to play and make batreps again, I no longer have access to warhall which is one of the primary reasons i havent put out new videos as of late! I have some backlogs but real life stuff have put a hold on my batreps.

I really liked the sped up footage from the game as you described what was happening. That's a cool "new" way of doing batreps I've not seen before. Looking forward to more from your channel! :D (I wonder if there's a way to improve your sound quality a little bit, the mic sadly sounds very choppy at times in this video, maybe picking up background noise too?)
@@PhearTheHam Cheers yeah! Just watched your game with RHWorldbuilding btw last night (could not make it live) and it looked like a very close one, so many swings! But yeah also your kid was so loud on your mic! haha, guessing you're just using a laptop mic?
@@PhearTheHam And sure thing re a match if we can co-ordinate a good time (maybe tricky as I am in the UK!). I am finding TTS is overall better for EoW right now, but Warhall should get there one day and even overtake it if they add enough EoW-related features (but understandably they probably have other more pressing things as they are aiming for big T9A FB tournament players too ofc!) . Btw check out my batreps - muuuuch longer than yours and very different style of video - but you might like a lot of the tactical tips stuff too :)

Considering I'm a newbie to T9A YT stuff that's really amazing it was one of mine you saw! :-) I'm GMT+1 atm so maybe we can arrange it sometime, would have to be a weekend though really (inc: Fridays are good for me cos I don't work usually). I needed to get another mic recently and even a cheapy "call centre" one like this works pretty great I reckon! But yeah I can imagine pandemic+family must be really tricky, so totally understand too. Really unfortunate game! Something to keep in mind - facings, you should not allow a monster to flank you, and if you do - position a character during the move so that he is on the flank. If a king was on that flank that terrorghaist would be toast! :D
Ah I thought the characters always had to be front and center when joining units that's an idea so I can place a heavy hitting character on the side when I'm baiting something like this then! Thanks for the tip! I've reread the dwarf codex I've added a hold stone to the BSB so that I can have at least one turn of negating a flank charge should I make this mistake again haha.
@@PhearTheHam They have to be at the front but not at the center :) Its usually a good idea to keep a hero at the edge of a unit, since when charging you can posion him so that the least ammount of attacks come his way. For example, a unit of dwarves 5 wide charges a unit of elves 5 wide, you position your hero so that he is only in base contact with 1 enemy model.
Ah makes sense! If i placed him at the center of a 5wide block he can be targetted by at least 3 enemy models and possibly 6-9 supporting attacks depending on enemy loadout. Thanks for this info! I think i was lucky vincent didnt do that on this occasion he had i two banshees on that zombie block the KG charged at id have probably lost my king and dealt minimal damage to the zombies if he decided to just kill my king.
@@PhearTheHam Remember this: "When making an Advance Move, March Move, or Reform with a unit that includes models with Front Rank, these models can be reorganised into a new position (still as far forwards as possible) as part of the move. This counts towards the distance moved by the unit (measure the distance from the starting position to the ending position of the centre of the model with Front Rank to determine how far it has moved). " Basicly, sometimes, you might want your characters in BTB with enemy characters without issuing a challange, so remember to reorganise them before the charge :D
@@polopo212 oh nice, just a quick question to make sure I understand it, shuffling the models into position costs movement? So let's say the king needs about half an inch to shuffle back to the center that reduces the overall movement of the unit?
