I used to work as an A&P many years ago and I was lucky enough to work on 707's and many others that are no longer flying. Nice plane. Took off like a rocket.
I’ve always loved the 707 and all the 707 series. I’m a retired corporate pilot so I never had the pleasure of piloting one of these great birds. Flew on them many times, and even a few times in the cockpit. Best trip ever. So glad I found this video and I’ll be waiting for the next one. Thanks
Hi Richard Glad you enjoyed the video! Check out this other UA-cam clip for engine runs and our landing in Cairo. ua-cam.com/video/zkr4XECtYB0/v-deo.html Don't forget that you can watch the whole 110 minute video by purchasing a DVD, Blu-ray or video streaming at avionvideo.com/product/707-skyward/ Best regards Howard
That’s so cool! My grandmother (God rest her soul) was a flight attendant and constantly flew on Douglas DC-8s and 707s. They were here two favorite planes ever because of the very large leather first class seats
Oh my, what a great video! Took me back to my late teens/early twenties as an apprentice, from 1976 to 1980. I did a lot of my training on the 707/720 types, predominantly on the P&W JT3D. We probably did an engine change most weeks, either scheduled or unscheduled. Fantastic days!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Hi George Your early career sounds a lot like Tom Vaughan's , the owner of the 707. I've just added a link to another UA-cam clip that you might like. It has a brief look at an engine run and then the landing into Cairo. It's here: ua-cam.com/video/zkr4XECtYB0/v-deo.html It would be great if you would 'like' these clips and also share with like-minded friends. Of course, you can watch the whole 110 minute video by purchasing a DVD, Blu-ray or video streaming at avionvideo.com/product/707-skyward/ Best regards Howard
Glad you liked the video! We don;t have any videos specifically on Avianca. There is an MD83 on one video and a 747-200 on another but these are brief appearances.

Excellent aviation video! I used to fly on 707s to the Caribbean in the 70s being airline staff. One of my all time favourite aircraft.
