    Awesome Video Cole, very informative and helpful content!!! Serious question regarding gut health and digestion. How many times do you go to the bathroom per day with all that massive amount of food? Thank you very much and keep going!!!

    • @ColeSager
      @ColeSager  5 років тому

      Hahaha!!! Not your normal everyday comment you see on UA-cam. ... but yeah, its a large volume of food. Along with tracking macros I am also tracking fiber intake. I used to track soluble and insoluble, but since I have been doing it so long I kind of know when I need more of one or the other. So because of that it keeps me fairly regular and having healthy digestion. I also have done some food sensitivity tests, and gut health tests. All were very normal so I have a lot of range and flexibility to eat a variety of foods. I guess you can say I have just done my homework on things. ha!

    Cole, love the videos as always, but we need to talk about the blade coffee grinder. The aero press is great, and can make great coffee, but I think the blade grinder is causing you some inconsistent grind size. I think it’s time to make the move to a solid burr grinder.

    • @ColeSager
      @ColeSager  5 років тому +1

      Hey Michael! -- yeah, I do keep an eye on fiber intake. I aim to just between 45-55g a day of that comes from whole foods. Some protein bars are really high in fiber so I tend to ignore those. I also tend to stick to insoluble fibrous foods surrounding workouts and lean towrads foods with more soluble fiber the rest of the day. Hope that helps!

      Carl! Thanks for the kind words!
      I don't adhere to any specific diet but I do keep track of how many macronutrients I am consuming so I am making sure that I am eating enough food to support physical performance, recovery, and growth. Check out Working Against Gravity. It is the nutrition company I have been working with for 3 years now. Just in the first few months of working with them I learned a bunch of knowledge that gave me basic tools to make sure I am eating right.

    Thanks for the video Cole. Quick question concerning nutrition. Do you find it is best to go with a carb heavy snack before a workout or a fat heavy workout? Is there a variation you use? And what does that variation look like?
    I hope your training continues to go well! Looking good brother.

    • @ColeSager
      @ColeSager  5 років тому +1

      Definitely carb heavy. Carbs are what the body predominantly uses for energy.
      A simple rule of thumb is to spread protein out fairly evenly throughout the day and fill the gaps with fat.

      I think a lot has to do with different body types as well. I gain mass pretty easily... whether that be muscle or fat, so I have to be careful to not over eat. I know I could be eating more but I have to work up to that slowly so my metabolic rate increases at the same time. Just takes training the body. Now for some people who don't gain mass as easily (taller, skinny people) they might be eating 1.5x what I am eating. Everyone is SO different. How much do you eat a day?
