After removing the scales, the skin is my favorite part especially when frying or roasting it. I would never dare waste it

Right
Skin has lots of collagen in it. I always eat the skin too.

You threw away the most nutritious/delicious part. If you crisp that skin, it's like bacon😋🔥🔥
I love to make salmon skin cracklins
The skin holds the nutrients, the fat and the flavour, it is the most important part to eat, I love the skin, never take it off
I never saw this before. Fish skin is good when cooked right.
This is so true, why is he peeling off the skin wt all the nutrients and vitamins , i know some people dont like the skin ...
Yes I agree with you
For the grizzly bears too!!😊🎉

Why remove it if you ain’t making sashimi? Fried skin is incredible
Hi yea
Yep. Beat me to it. I grill it till it's crispy crunchy.
I'll admit, I'm a hack with a knife, but I don't care. When I skin the salmon, I always leave some meat attached. Make a beer batter, quick trip thru the deep fried, and Boom! deliciousness.
Yeah, was thinking the same thing.

I prefer to leave it on Salmon it's a heat barrier to help avoid over cooking and remove it after flipping face down when finishing / the top . Nice piece of fish there 👍
Thanks for the tip. But does this method work for different kind of fishes?
The skin of the fish contains oils and flavors. When you remove it, you remove a part that makes the food delicious when it interacts with spices and oils, and it makes the piece cohesive.
@DrivableNote i
Thank you for the info
You’re absolutely correct.
The skin also holds mercury which can be deadly
I second that. Some pple (including me) don't like cooking with skin on. We all cook & eat different.

That's skin has a ton of nutritional value, never remove the skin from a Salmon.
There's a lot of snacks and dishes you can make using just salmon skin.
Unless the scales are large and tuff I eat them as well.
It also has mercury in it.
The skin is the best part, broiled salmon skin is fantastic!😘👌
I sure wish I could of shared this with my grandpa. We were fishing buddies a long time. But then he would probably stay to his older ways and then, so would I. ❤️ Super idea just the same.

Конечно нет! Он выбросит рыбу! Самое вкусное, это кожа, хрустящая, румяная!
Believe it tuts.
FINALLY! I've scraped off so much burned skin from pans over the years. Thank you!!
The reason why it sticks is because you're not letting the pan and oil get hot enough. Once hot, just turn the heat down to medium. The skin helps keep the fish together, if you remove...that shit will fall apart. You might want to also make some slices at the surface of the skin. That should prevent the fish from curling.
Yeah take that nasty skin off
A melhor receita que já apresentou, ficou cru. Aléluia!
The skin is the best part when it’s perfectly crisp!!!
You can always chop them into smaller pieces and fry them salmon skin
Even eating fish skin is healthy. Bcz it has nutrients such as protein, omega-3 fatty acids, and vitamin E.
You ever tried cooking on soaked wooden boards skin side down it makes it super crispy but be careful if you don't keep an eye on it the skin can get stuck to the board
I agree! The skin is definitely the best part!
Love using crispy salmon skin and micro green assortments as condiments for my sushi rolls
I’m going to try this when I catch fish because I hate having to skin it!
Super fine technic
Thanks Brother
The problem is while removing the skin by pouring boiling water on the salmon, you also boil it. That's a pretty big disadvantage. Also I like the salmon skin.
Skin is loaded with nutrients and vitamins.
Ya you can tell it is a lighter pink after he did this than when he started
If you need it for sushi, then yes, but if you're going to grill it, broil it, or put it into soup, it doesn't really matter
This is exactly what I also wanted to say!
El gusto de la piel de salmon es muy feo
No.creo que con esa poca agua hirviendo el.pescado quede cocinado
The skin is very nutritious as well. Need to get all the Omega 3s
Agreed 👍
Yeah I'd rather just eat walnuts/flaxseeds/seaweed/algae than a dead body any day of the week.
I can do well without those oils. Cannot stand the skin.
@@CureMW2 that's your choice stop being over dramatic about it. Also if you wanna get wild about it you need to understand evolution and how humans evolved to digest fats from animals and fish and other primates evolved to digest sugars. That's why we can get diabetes and they usually don't. If you look further you see that not having these fats can cause multiple health problems over a long period of time. So sure abstain from what you were evolved to eat. That sounds real smaht bro.

Have never seen the skin removed this way, but glad to see a new technique. I’ve never like the skin on my salmon.
Some fishes have thick skin and would taste weird. Salmon is best without skin. Hot water method truly works; i have tried it.
It ruins the salmon aswell, if you want to remove the skin use a knife otherwise leave it on. Salmon skin is delicious and makes the piece of salmon cohesive, without you will have your salmon break apart and the oils and fats of the skin will not be infused with the meat. Oh yeah and boiling water on salmon will ruin the meat.
The skin is the best part after you remove the scales.
Thank you!
I hate it 😫
Salmon is not a scaly fish
