Disclaimer: I don't own the U.S. Army or the 82nd Airborne Division. Nor do I possess the rights to any of the marching cadences portrayed in this video. Hooah!
Spent 3 years with the divison. I loved and hated it at the same time. But when you are there. You can proudly say you served there and that can never be taken away from you
I spent a couple years there as well. 3rd bct 82nd. If it didnt have all the negatives, it wouldn't be a bad place to stay lol. I dont enjoy exerting myself through an overwhelming amount of bs on a weekly and sometimes daily basis for no reason. I went to Hawaii as mg 2nd duty station and it wasn't much better. I got out in 2014 and there is nothing like civilian life in the military unless maybe I had tried to go warrant officer. Warrants dont get paid as much as they should make for the amount of work they put in though, despite it being laid back. They are true experts in their field..
@@oossuu12121 It’s called embarrassing your ancestors who were actually rough and ready paras, this is coming from a British Para, this is an embarrassment. The 82nd are a joke to what they once were in 1944.
Really excellent lead singer and harmonies. I started my career in the 82nd. It’s funny how it drives you crazy while you’re in it then miss it when it’s gone.
Outstanding!!! I was with the 20th Engineer Battalion at Ft. Bragg. I jumped with the 82nd Airborne. Ft. Bragg was my first and best duty assignment of my entire military career. Wouldn’t trade that time for anything.
I served in the great 82nd. Had the wonderful opportunity to see the choir in the 90’s and it brought tears to my eyes to see how you are holding the great perfection that the 82nd has. Thank you soldiers so much.
I agree lol but I put my thumbs up because one I liked how they did the chorus, and two my Senior Army Instructor is a retired Airborne veteran himself and three I am looking to enlist in the army myself and I’m only 26 and I definitely would love to volunteer to go to airborne school once I get in 💯
Was never Airborne, but that cadence brought back some very warm memories from many years ago. Most of those young men, G*d bless them, weren't even born when I first went on Active Duty. In fact, I'd be willing to bet that several of them hadn't been born when I retired. Damn!! I feel old!!
From 1974-2015, I wore an ARMY uniform and no matter how informs changes we went through, the one thing that never changed was cadence songs. AIRBORNE ALL THE WAY.
I served with the 101st Airborne during Viet Nam. 68-72. Much respect to the Double A's. it is quite obvious to me that the 51 thumbs down are nothing more than a bunch of sorry assed straight legs that don't have a single clue about what it means to be Airborne. whooooooouh! all the way.
bo didly bo didly were ya been down in Fayetteville drinking gin what ya going to do when you get back run 10 miles around the Airborne track C co 1/508 American 82nd ABN Division Fury from the Sky MOS 11b2pv
They used to make us hump the Airborne Shuffle at night in full gear. When we failed barracks inspection, or if someone screwed up really bad. I don't miss that at all

@0:46 Heaven opens up to bless those below with the voice of an angel.
What'd you do in the Army? I sang and jumped out of planes.
Chase Right on bro. That ship wouldn't fly in the 80's . For sure. You get your ass up there and do your shit. Then get down! We never danced! Pfffft
Chase badass in other words
I don't know, my dad talked about the 82nd Airborne choir, that would have been from the early 90s
Raymond Kwiatkowski it’s a morale thing. Unless you have something against calling cadence, it’s basically the same thing.
@@meserole65 who? I ain't no shit ass leg. Fuck no
This puts a warm feeling in my heart
It's a feeling called freedom.

They all look squared away, that's for sure.

These songs are familiar to me, but we didn't dance or sing in harmony. The Army has sure changed since I was in it.
