This is the exact game I remember picking out with my dad in a book store back in the day. I still have the redline 40 Somethin'! I would love to find a sealed or CIB one for my collection one day. Brilliant find!
i used to have a box copy when i was 5 years old, still have the CD but not the box, but this game brings back soo many memories... on my moms old win98 p4 system. wish i could hunt one down to go to my OG game collection since physical media is disappearing
I've not once seen the original box for the game... I think the way most people got the game was through the GREEN discs by a company called Kid's Power.
Wow! I haven’t heard of that collection before, but I remember playing Hot Wheels Velocity X and some Goofy skateboarding game as a kid, so I think that confirms that was how I originally played the game! I would’ve never known that! Guess I’m in the same boat.
I was stupid as a kid and I inexplicably tore my cover of the game 🙄 I own the physical ps2 copy but it's just the case and disc, cover is gone. This was a very cool unboxing of the game and I imagine this is extremely rare too.
It's definitely possible to find the pc, GameCube, and PS2 discs on eBay, and it is possible to find the car by itself, but rare. What's really rare is the box. The fact that there was a listing with a complete set (box in good condition, car in package, original cd case, and cd) is what's extremely rare, which is why I jumped on the opportunity.
@@overdrive_srs Awesome. As always, this game is as old as my younger brother. The PC version is only a week younger than he is although the GBA version is younger than him by 3 weeks (10/31/2002) and the PS2 versions are younger than him by a little over a month which was released on 11/11/2002.
Oh wow, I never knew the game came with that car! I remember having it, but I guess I got the game at such a young age that I didn't remember the connection. I still have the disc and case, though the latter has some cracks in it. Not sure where the car is.
Hello Overdrive. Do you remember me? Maybe not, because I'm the alter ego of a certain individual that has been a friend of yours for some time, giving you strategies and tips. He had to go off the grid because he's been having issues on Twitter recently that caused a hacker to ruin his life.
Overdrive, I am just curious. Do you know the controls to play this game on the PC? For example what are the controls to accelerate, double click for more speed, reverse, turn to the right, turn to the left, and to fire weapons. What about to change weapons? I know that X is accelerate, O is reverse, R1 is to change weapons and R2 is to fire weapons on the PlayStation 2 version. You know what’s interesting? In the Gameboy Advance version, when another car bumps into you, it doesn’t take away your health and you get to operate as Gearhead in that version. No reverse in that version. Music is different as well. Let me know.
Up - accelerate Down - reverse Left - turn left Right - turn right Shift - handbrake A - strafe left D - strafe right Space - fire Ctrl - switch weapon Tilde - change camera Enter - select menu option Esc - Go back / pause
I've been playing this game since I was 5 years old, I never got tired of it, it was the first ps2 game I played and I have a huge affection for it

That's awesome! Definitely was a great find, the condition of the box really surprises me the most.
Cool stuff, Reminds me how happy I was when I found the HW Prototype car in a grocery store.

Yeah, I remember you. Unfortunate that you're getting hacked.
