Thank you for talking about this; many people don't take it seriously. Losing my Neesha-thick hair was worse than going through my divorce (I have areata). Ladies, please don't take your hair for granted. You are smart for going to a doctor. I got so sick of people recommending all of these over-the-counter pills and serums. I know they meant well, but I just stopped talking about it.
I love this wig/color on your! Just checked out your review on Gray Your Way for Natalia in the gray/black. That style is a Wower! Did you ever get to see what the Aut/Fr looks like?

I would have never thought some oils would be bad for the scalp. Thank you for sharing this information. So many people of color use so many types of oil. I use organic fractionated coconut oil all over my body as a moisturizer because I do not like to put chemicals on my skin. And it is supposed to be a natural antifungal. Again, what your doctor said about oils is intriguing. So many women suffer from hair loss. Thank Heaven for such beautiful hair units!

I really like her Faith, especially the color. Thank you for telling us about your alopecia. It affects more women than you know. And because it’s so difficult to talk about, you can feel so alone with this condition. Thank you again for sharing ❤.

Come out and see what I discovered about alopecia areata from a group with the facts. And of course see me slay Outre Imani, sort of :-)

Hi Faith...I'm a week behind-my schedule has been crazy and I wanna "thank you" for sharing your condition which made me realize that I have this condition, too. For the life of me, I couldn't figure it out. I had a hyperparathyroidectomy and after listening to you state the facts, so calmly (I was getting a little anxious while you talked about it, or something to that affect), I had to think back. It was like a light bulb went off. Thank you so much for the information. I will be contacting the NAAF to learn more. Now, as far as Imani -- yes, I LIKE her and Yes, she reminded me "a little" of Leyla. "I LOVED LEYLA AND WISH I COULD FIND HER AGAIN." You see, I'm excited talking in all caps! 😍However, I would like Imani in a 12-14 inch length and I'm glad she's yaki. Thanks again!!! Wendeline A.

Thank you for the info about a type of alopecia I never heard of but it's exactly something I suspect could happen to me.
I don't have the "big" autoimmune disorders like lupus but I have many smaller things that show my body's trend in over delivering "help" to react to things. I've had thinning hair, probably hereditary, since high school but now I know about this other type of potential hair loss, thank you!
P.s. this unit looks so 1940s on you, and I think that style is so glamorous on you and really suits you. Also I love when you say you won't glue a wig. I never melt the lace and so far have scraped through undetected I think (although full disclosure, yesterday I think two coworkers clocked me for the first time because an Outre Melted series unit's lace was looser and softer than usual and I didn't glue it down. It formed a flap on my forehead visible to anyone petite enough to look up at me. Oops...:/)

@@Stilllookingood58came back to watch the rest. Thank you for the alopecia info. And the critique on Imani was fair. She’s pretty but we have seen similar styles. But she looks great on you.

I was wondering about using products on your hair while being treated & you answered that. The color and style looks good but the filler hairs and tightness can go😂.... Good information!😍👍🏼❤

Looks like a older style. Hate the filler hair feel and look. Pretty color, I like yaki, but not for me. Have a few wigs that are longer in the back. Thanks for the information on alopecia.

Thanks for sharing your diagnosis. I have it as well. Was the shedding on Imani due to pkucking?

I have had alopecia areata since I was 10 and I'm 61 now. I've had to wear wigs since then (and go through great lengths to conceal that fact just from sheer terror). It is much more acceptable to wear wigs now especially as a young person than when I was coming up. I still wear wigs, but I stopped hiding that fact when Covid hit. My mother, when she got the diagnosis when I was 10, told me that I could never tell anybody I wore a wig because people would call me a freak, I wouldn't have any friends, and nobody would love me/marry me/date me. (Yes, I know it's messed up, but she did the best she could with the toolbox she had and was trying to protect me.)
I figured that if I finally after 50-some years told the truth about it and I got Covid, I would be dead in two weeks and it wouldn't matter. I could tough it out not having friends and/or being shunned for that long; two weeks out of 50-some years would be EASY. So, there's that....
At any rate, I'm sure getting this DX much later in life is difficult, but you can do this. (((HUGS))
ETA: Be very, VERY wary of snake oil sales from people who tell you to use rice water, aloe vera gel, take this supplement, etc. and want to charge you hundreds of dollars. They prey on your vulnerability, especially if you're recently diagnosed. My mother chased me around the house when I was about 5 or 6 trying pour ice water on my head because somebody told her it would get my hair to grow! I went though it and all kinds of "home remedies" until I was finally DX'd and the doctors pretty much said, "yeah, she'll be bald; put a wig on her and move on". Good times....

Thank you so much for sharing. My news reporter background taught me to question everything so I wont be getting suckered; if my hair goes, it goes. I’ve been doing wig reviews for 5 years so at least I know what to do. So glad you maintained despite it all.👍🏼
