I wanted to share that Gilgit is a very safe and beautiful region, full of warm and welcoming people. Warm Welcome to Pakistan !!! Pakistan's truck painting is a vibrant folk art that transforms trucks into moving canvases with intricate designs, cultural symbols, and vivid colors. Drivers often spend substantial amounts on these decorations, seeing them as a source of pride and a reflection of personal and cultural identity.
Pakistani truck art began in the 1920s and evolved in the 1950s-60s as truck drivers started decorating their vehicles with colorful, symbolic artwork, turning it into a cultural tradition. These designs, featuring flowers, animals, and religious symbols, vary by region-Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh, and Balochistan each have distinct styles. Today, this vibrant art form is internationally recognized and appears in various products like clothing and accessories.
