I've been tellin people for YEARS that this is the hardest mission in the game, it's even laid out more difficult than the actual Arid Sands Hard mode act from its DLC! I feel so validated seeing others talk about it

She deserves to be lol. In the game, Yasmin is a bossy, and egotistical little girl that got herself into this situation to begin with, all because she doesn’t like being outsmarted in her own missions and exercises.

@PACSAX Eggman land at night ps2 or a night mission before that. I didnt play Unleashed for around 10 yrs again til the 360. Game was super fun and I was so close to beat it. But failing over and over took a toll lol
Yeah this mission is hard if you don't know that shortcut where you jump during the loop. Seriously that shortcut is so obscure especially since it's the only one like it in the game.

I actually genuinely found this one to be the easiest of the side missions apart from apatos act 3. Idk why after like 3 attempts i had an s rank. I found the drifting one in mazuri harder before i learned to just not boost while drifting. But this was also super satisfying to watch

Although I haven’t played unleashed in a while I remember this being my favorite side mission I can’t recall if I found it difficult at all.
You can keep Chris and Elise, because yasmin was so obnoxious in the game. She was always so bossy and ungrateful. She was told very clearly not to go out there, but wanted to play hero.
I'm a Sonic Unleashed draft dodger and I still think this run is impressive.

I don't remember this mission causing me much trouble when I 100%'d the game. Must be because the challenge in Unleashed was almost always satisfying.
Oh god, I always hated that mission. Its even worse cause Arid Sands (Day) is one of my least favorite zones as well.

Always liked how they angled the camera once he got fast but only when he got too far from the screen they started to turn the frames down on his animation, I think they blur his outline in someway but I'm not sure, either way I wish they would do that kind of thing in later games, frontiers came close but not exactly it.
The wall run at the end always fucked me. It took me a while to get past it back in the day lol

Boss run. I love this stage and the Pretty Committee side mission arc with Yasmine and Samia is really cute. It's just a shame that Sonic Unleashed's story progresses via the metal quotas and not Sonic's interactions with all the townspeople. Real missed opportunity.

When I first played this mission I cleared it on the first try. I was used to Unleashed's learning curve and ran with it. Another reason why Unleashed is a masterpiece. But I can also understand why people hate this mission because it can be tedious 😂

@@PACSAX Yeah, I’d assume with the fact that this video is covering the side mission that you’d think I was talking about the side mission for Eggmanland.
The Eggmanland hotdog mission is the hardest hotdog mission for sure lmao. I count hotdog missions, and side missions as two separate things. The side missions in my head are the missions the npcs in every village/capital give you, for example the mission in Chun-Nan when you had to take the village elders medicine to try and get rid of the werehog powers.
So what makes this mission so difficult? It looks just like the normal stage.
Look up Sonic Unleashed Missing Sister on google, and if you go to GameFAQs, you’ll see tons of people claiming this level to be difficult, or see people asking for help with finishing it.
Edit: Everyone has their own opinion on why the level itself is “hard” but for me back when I was a noob, I specifically thought it was hard because I didn’t know all the shortcuts, which caused you to waste more time and end up losing. Keep in mind you have to clear this level in under 2 minutes, so if you’re not a pro and on top of that doesn’t know all the shortcuts, you’re pretty much f🤬cked

Welcome to the channel! And you can find this specific mission by continuously talking to Yasmin and her little sister in Shamar as day Sonic. They should be located near the stage entrance section. This mission is the last side mission they’ll assign to you with it also being the most challenging one in the game, so be warned lmao.
But the story behind the mission is that this little girl named Yasmin went missing after wandering off by herself, so her little sister asks you (Sonic) to help get her sister back. You have the option to accept or deny.
Edit: I forgot to mention that you’re on a strict timer having to complete the difficult level in under 2 minutes.
