I lived in Weed 70years ago. The only thing I recognized was the mountain and the Mercantile store! I'm 84 now.

My Grandparents owned that house at 4:45 at the south corner of the stop sign at Siskyiyou and south Weed, from 1940s to 2001. It looks terrible now, but when I was growing up, it was a beautiful home.

I’ve stopped so often at the Vista Drive exit on the Portland to Sacramento drive and back. Great to see the surrounding area for a change, and not just zipping by to Yreka.

I used to stop by there to buy weed from la florista all the time, lol. Small mountain town and friendly folks.

I’m just watching first minute so far… does not look like wild fires in the area so far in the video. But I have seen on the news that Weed did have a wildfire come through town.
