hello, where is the item add on, please? or Home Assistant Supervisor configuration, thx.
Can you clarify the question? What add ons are you looking for ? This should run the full package. Thank you.
@@MikeFaucher After installing Home Assistant on Synology ver. DSM 7.2.1-69057 gives me a plugin store error, Supervisor without it I can't install the package for eWelink.
Strange, video 2 month old, but i cant find container in packages. Have docker with container inside, not sure if its same
Yes they got rid of a separate package and now you install it through through Docker. I need to update this video as things have changed. Thanks for pointing that out.
Thx. Yes, i did install it via docker, all works. The only thing to note is that Image not downloading via register tab, did it via SSH with pull command
@@NYTV_YT Thanks for the update. I'm glad you got it working.
Hi, I must be doing something dumb but I can install and run HA in a Docker container but I can't seem to access/launch the homepage. I have tried my local NAS IP e.g. 192.168.x.x:8123 etc but it returns the error "This site can’t be reached". I dont have an VM installed but I'm assuming I need to run something else on my NAS? Thanks
Make sure you use http and https and see if that helps.
Is there a Nas firewall active? If so, you need to give permissions to the right ip and port. I struggled with that for a while.
I have the same issue, I have tried with http and https, opened all the ports on my NAS. I was able to access the app through iPhone but I can't seem to open up on web browser on Win11. TIA
@@ionbuilds You don’t need to open ports but make sure have all the permissions set. It sounds like you are not reaching the container.
@@MikeFaucher thanks for the quick reply. How do I make sure I can reach the container. I followed step by step instructions
Problem i have is HA is useless in dsm 7 when i cant share usb for my zigbee dongle.
To share a device on Homeassistant, you has to pass through the device and I am not aware of a way to do this. Try reaching out to Synology to see if this can be done or is planned for the future. Sorry I could not be more help.
@@MikeFaucher not your fault. Apparently it worked fine on DSM 6x. The system is technically more secure as a NAS now, but less useful as a server with storage. Ce la vie
My Sonoff dongle works fine, just have to download drivers and pass it through
You do a Great help for me, thank you so much!!
By the way, do you have the installation guide for the homebridge?
Thank you very much for the feedback, it is appreciated. I have not tried HomeBridge yet but it is on my list of things to look at. Thanks again and glad it was helpful.
