Bro my heart hurts for Ryan... All that trauma and guilt at such a young age, it's a miracle that he managed to thrive and become a successful, functioning adult despite all that 😞💔
I’m so sorry Ryan that you had to talk about your past again. For having to witness two different life changing things a month apart can just making your mind do all sorts of things. Your strong and for me being a fan and seeing everyone in quest and seeing past stuff has given me like a lesson and all. Am also pretty sure I know who it is but again I mite be wrong. Again Ryan your past has a big part for the younger generation. Keep doing you and keep spreading love and laughter to all those around. JKNews is family and I know all of us fans are family as well. Thanks 🙏
@@TheRealQuestie16 oh wow please don't apologize I was just being an asshole and was hoping to get a rise out of someone. I thought it would be funny LOL but please don't apologize for anything obviously you don't have to it was stupid.
holy shit, i thought part 1 was already jaw dropping enough, then here's part 2. far out. hearing these kind of stories makes you realise how life can change at any moment. i hope you forgive yourself for what's happened in the past ryan and glad to hear your friend made a full recovery.
Wow I thought that other story was crazy, but that's a lot to deal with at a young age. I'm so happy it ended up being a positive outcome!! Thanks for sharing, Ryan.
I am literally so pissed that the doctor basically put it on Ryan at the time an 18 year old to tell a parents their kid is paralyzed! WTF that is totally part of a doctor's job literally part of their training! Ryan you are a strong ass man to even be sharing all of this trauma!
I feel like if he was it’d be only for this tragic part of his life that’s already been shared and I don’t think anyone wants to come into a podcast and talk about their deepest darkest moment for 8 hours straight everytime it’s brought up
@@slothyy6732 I just figured since both Ryan and Anthony know him, they'd vouch for him as a guest. You got good points. In the end, we don't know if the person would be down or not. It was just an immediate reaction on my part since he was able to come out of that tragic moment. It ain't like JKN's going to listen to me. Lol.
I've watched JK news for many many years, I'm even a Patreon member. I have to say this is the first video that made me tear. I'm so happy to hear Ryan's friend fully recovered.
Definitely can’t barely imagine what you went through Ryan. Definitely agree with Nick saying it is human you feel something for that situation to this day. But glad you stay with friends with him and you did visited him it speaks a lot from someone that young. All the love ❤️
It’s not Ryan’s fault it’s the drivers fault for not owning up and admitting he was tired. Whenever I go out on a road trip I’m the first to admit I’m tired and if everyone is tired I will pull over and just sleep.
Wow, you have to be so incredibly resilient to go through all that and not come out extremely depressed. It takes a lot to be able to discuss such a tragic and traumatic occurrence and I’m grateful Ryan felt comfortable enough to share it. Thank god his friend made it and was able to recover and be so successful. I can’t imagine going through all of that, we really take our lives for granted.
What a powerful story! I was hanging on every word! So glad to hear that everything turned out well for his friend. This trully makes me see Ryan in a new light. Thank you for sharing this.
Thank you for drawing attention to trauma. PTSD/CPTSD is a very real thing and healing is possible. Not to diminish the physical injuries, but I hope the driver sees enough worth in himself to find a good therapist and can work through his guilt. That kind of mental damage so young can easily be overlooked and continue to ruin lives.
Sorry you had to go through this. I truly feel you. Your story triggered my memories and I nearly started crying listening to you. To make my story as short as I can… my family drove from San Diego to bay area in two cars in the early morning hours in the dark and about 1 1/2 hrs till we get home. The other car basically veered to the side and rolled over a few times over a ditch. My grandparents died, my sister who drove had minor injuries but her bestie died and my dad severely injured and also had to amputate a finger. Later when the sun finally came up and seeing in the distance tarps over the bodies. I was in shock. It’s just crazy.
Im so so sorry this happened to your family but I hope you feel nothing but healing & peace now. No one could predict something like that would happen 💔
Man. I wanna hear more stories from Ryan’s life. Everything is so intense, I was on the edge every time he paused. 😱 I’m glad there was a happy ending to that story though. ❤️ Lowkey was expecting to hear I’m a survivor in the outro. 😂
Honestly can't blame Ryan for breaking up with his girlfriend. Only a month after such a huge accident and all the guilt he felt about it being his fault bc he wanted to see her. He was probably just over it and the accident gave him a new perspective on his relationship. No one could've predicted what happened to her cousin or her. I have a lot of respect for Ryan knowing that he didn't let these accidents consume his life. I hope he can continue to be around people who love and support him and give him strength.
I want to hear more of Ryan's life! If he has anymore interesting life story's, please share them. He has overcame a crazy car crash that we see in a freaking TV show!
Man that was a wild, amazing, emotional story. Even though it was years ago, my heart still goes out to everyone involved in the accident. Man oh man this one got me in the feels! Love the openness of this show. Keep it up guys because within all the fun and jokes and foolishness, impactful moments like this come out because of how open and real you guys are!
My cousin has a similar story to the friend. Long story short. He got in a car accident. Recovered. The experience influenced him to become a physical therapist. Now he owns 2 PT practices.
People please don't drive while sleepy! It's just as bad as someone driving buzzed or drunk. Pull off to a rest area and get refreshed, not only save your life but also not be a detriment to others.
Crazy how we all go through traumatizing events that really humble us as a person. My deepest condolences to all that have passed. Thanks for sharing and building our character we love JK
