The new actor Playing the Doctor Dave is such a good actor.. Already like him. Barnabas is such an complex character.. Love him. It was a wise move revamping the show
You've got to give credit where it's due. Despite how I feel about Vicky she is one brave little cookie. The hell hounds are howling for their bride & she sticks it out despite being terrified out of her mind. I thought she was going to bolt there for a sec, but the little trooper that she is she stays. I guess seeing Laura burning alive put a little strength in her spine!
I never got the impression that the howling was demonic. I've always interpreted it as the dogs being freaked out by Barnabas' prescience and unnatural existence.
It just makes sense. They only howl when Barnabas is a) upset or b) when he's on the prowl. Plus hell hounds are often associated with vampire lore & the supernatural in general. The show does leave it open to interpretation though, so I guess there's really no right or wrong answer.

poor Maggie. Her father is an inconsiderate drunk who is chainsmoking pipe right at her bedside. If I were her, I'd run to the old house and beg Barney to take me in. Way better survival chances than with a chainsmoker!

+Steve Bergman Thank-you. My sentiments exactly. Barnabas was cruel & evil despite what excuses his fans come up with. Plus he brought the curse on himself. Hasn't he ever heard of never scorning a woman... especially one who can put hoodoo curses on you & everyone you love? He wasn't being a good man when he messed around with her.... so much for my only love Josette. He sure wasn't thinking of her then.

I was so happy when Maggie got a new storyline but damn She is so annoying right now :( can we move a bit faster with this story
