there will always been a demand for currencies and someone will need to supply that demand. imo trading will never go away in our life time.
such a huge market cant go anywhere .. there might be changes like currencies becoming more digital n stuff but trading wont go anywhere ... there cannot be a central universal currency coz every country wants to control thier own currency ... and even if forex goes anywhere we still have other options for trading may not be as convienent but if we know how price moves we can trade anything ...
