- We've been having packs of Coyotes a little too close to the Ranch. Coming in at night spooking cattle, harassing the Dogs, and Cats. On this set our Hangin Tree "Spike" even tagged along and got attacked by this Pack of Coyotes. So we took care of the problem... Ethically.

Are you kidding??? Those were as clean of a kill as you are going to find. They all can't be perfect head shots. The others were center mass and expired in moments. Please educate yourself before posting drivel. Or better yet, stop watching, you won't be missed.

If people only knew how much effort goes into these videos you guys make. Well tuned handloads, well build rifles, high end camera/editing equipment, proper clothing/equipment, well thought out stand locations, mentally/physically on point and the list goes on.

I haven’t shot a high powered rifle in probably 30 years but I remember what it was like as I used to help my first husband cast and reload our own bullets for deer hunting. I really don’t like coyotes after having lost several animals to them. I do appreciate the work you do. 👍

I was flyfishing Davis Lake, California from a kayak a few years back. I was off a point about 4-5 hundred yards away and back in the cove was a woman walking with here three large lab type dogs along the shoreline. The tree line is maybe 50 yards from the water as it was spring and the lake was fairly full from winter snow runoff. Out of the trees a pack of coyotes attacked the dogs and it was a full on melee dust storm. I didn't get a full number count on the coyotes as many remained back in the trees but 6-8 or so rushed the dogs. She had some sort of hand gun and fired on the coyotes hitting one as I heard a yelp and they ran off. I called CaDFG and Sheriff's office. CADFG came out and shot a few of them they said as I contacted them a few days later to find out what had gone down. We have BIG HUGE coyotes here at Davis Lake. Not the small urban coyotes 30 pounders you see on the news running around suburbs or even in a city. These guys are BIG, 60+ pounds easy almost German Shepard size. I have seen lone coyotes in the spring cutting through the trees as I am driving in on forest service dirt roads when they have full coats and thought I was seeing a German Sheperd or a wolf. Coyotes contrary to popular belief do get BIG. I have spoken to guys that hunt them and they told me that down in the southern California Mohave, Death Valley, Joshua Tree desert, the east side of the mountain ranges are were you get record size coyotes. Here at Davis Lake they are a large pack I don't know the numbers but dozens+ for sure. I rough camp around the lake and I have enjoy them howling yelping in the evening. They have never bothered me and I like them.

Here at the end/B-Roll...Yeah, I'm one of those that watch the whole thing. Especially when you're doing the post-hunt briefing. As a viewer, my adrenaline gets going watching, and when y'all are giving the brief, we can hear what y'all were seeing and feeling as well. Hope that made sense.

These guys should be charged for the cruelty to animals. They were not in any danger from these Coyotes. The international body against the cruelty to animals should hunt them down and arrest them.

Been a subscriber for a while and I gotta say fellas, this is some of your BEST FOOTAGE TO-DATE! For me it isn't always just about the kill shot (don't get me wrong without the "icing on the cake" it wouldn't quite be the same) but the quality of the imagery (nice 4K), your production room editing, the story and now with the new star of the show Spike, you've taken this to a whole new level! I'll bet Spike was shi##ing bricks when he had those coyotes on his tail. Again, terrific job all around you've set a new standard! Also, nice billboard along I-90 in eastern SD - passed by it many a time.

To many coyotes everywhere, I used to hunt them back in the 70s and 80s with my 700 rem 22-250. We didn’t have range finders, predator calls back then

What do you guys do with them after. I want to get into coyote hunting but I wouldn't know what to do with them. I've killed my first yote this deer season and I got the hide tanned.
Sell their fur and use it.
I used to hunt bucks pheasant hare grouse but these can be eaten and are mighty tasty but coyotees is there a bounty or something like that ?

It's interesting how quickly the coyotes weren't scared at all by the dog in spite of how aggressive it was. I suppose when it's four on one it's easy to understand. But I think it's also because the coyotes are skilled predators and pack-hunters. They hunt every day, whereas the dog gets its food handed to it in a dish. The coyotes knew instantly the dog was an easy kill and were on him immediately. Why didn't they chase him down is the question. I think the they wanted to investigate where the dog came from, or perhaps were being cautious because they knew where there is a dog there could be a human also. Unfortunately they weren't cautious enough. But had this not been an ambush by human hunters, the dog would have been a goner in five minutes.
