@sp1940 good question. can still dye them, but the stains will still be there. I'd suggest using a suede eraser to rub off as much dirt, grime, and stain possible so it doesn't show much after you dye them. And dark colors hide stains better.
For sure. You definitely need a gentle hand around the stitching. On the leather itself you don't have to be super gentle. I mean, you don't wanna stab hard. You'll cut through the tape easily before you cut through the leather. Suede is tough stuff. You only need enough pressure to cut the tape.
@aNYthangg never done it but I'll 99% sure it should work. technically you're not going from color to color, you're going from one shade to a darker shade. i think it will work fine. good luck!
I use painters tape. Just make sure that you use suede dye (not leather dye) and make sure the tape is pressed tight so the dye doesn't sneak under the tape's seal.

Yeah. For whatever reason, the stitching doesn't really take the dye very well and so you end up with a pretty cool contrast stitching effect. In this video I used the wrong dye (leather dye instead of suede dye) so it dyed the stitching. But suede dye doesn't really affect the stitching. It's up to you.
Not sure how well it stays, but I have a pair where the dye got onto the sole and stayed. So you can definitely dye the soles. But I don't know how long the color will stay.
@gwath42 I like to wear mine with the laces loose so I want the shoe pretty snug so they don't slip. I size down a whole size. I'm an 11 in nike (in dunks) and vans (authentics/eras). I size down to size 10 in wallabees. It's tight at first, but the suede stretches fast and it's a perfect fit. But if you like a bit of wiggle room for your toes, just size down a half size and you should be good.
Does anybody know where I can get the classic suede wallabee moccasins in the hot colors they had in the late90's(red,yellow,baby blue, ect..the Clark's website only has classic colors..ive been told they dont exsist anymore..please PM me if u can help and thanks

I don't want anyone to be unhappy with my suggestion. But, I mean, if it's just the collar, I'm sure the shoe is still salvageable. It's always a risk dying wallees. Sorry yours didn't work out.
Not that I know of. It's a sad reality that you just gotta waterproof them with the spray and avoid dirt and puddles. Otherwise, they're gonna get dirty no matter what.
brother next time use a small paint brush and masking tape the brush won't over saturate the suede with dye run off and the masking tape will protect the sole from the dye most definitely

@poopRscoop14 not really. just use firm pressure. you don't need to push hard to cut the tape. you have to push pretty hard to cut through suede.

The best I can tell you is that some people will dye them for you for an arm and a leg. I do it for cheap by comparison to others.

I've only used fiebings. So I'm not an expert on that. But I would recommend fiebings since it's never failed me.
Do you worry about cutting tape too deep into suede or the sole?
Only if you would've dyed the soles blue 💙.
oh, and by the sole, it's glued on. You're not going to cut the sole off. It's way too difficult to do that.

Would u recommend suede dye spray or is regular dye the best way to go??
I would just hold the shoe upside down when applying the dye. This way if it starts to bleed it would just fall into the suede.....JUICE!

yeah, the suede stays for the life of the shoe. Granted the color will fade with wear, but the dye will remain.
