Norfolk Southern botched decision to blow open vinyl chloride cars in East Palestine, NTSB says

NTSB always makes recommendations but none of that is mandatory so basically optional. You can recommend they drive around with a pink elephant everyday but that doesn't mean they're going to do it, just sounds good to the public.

Norfolk Southern has become a far safer railroad from February 3, 2023. This includes being the first railroad to implement a safety incident reporting system and a track shed that takes 1000 pictures a second of trains going through the shed.
