Giant katydid insect preservation and pinning

A preservation tutorial for the giant katydid, which is also suitable for large crickets and grasshoppers, locusts and similar insects.
I explain the tools and techniques to clean the insect, before stuffing and pinning it out.
I have been preserving insects for over six years, usually to gild in 24ct gold leaf for contemporary art pieces. This is one of my home raised insects which died a natural death. Everything I do for my work focuses on appreciating the smaller creatures of the natural world.
