I would definitely rank Hogan’s reign in 1993 as the worst reign he had.
Why though? He put yoko over the same year and it made bret heart winning it from yoka at the next mania a bigger star, yoka beating Bret at at that mania would have been very forgettable if it wasn’t for hogan

Fair enough. We now know all about his backstage politics, his piss poor work rate and most unforgivably, the racism. The casual fan didn't know about all of this back in the day. I recall Hogan was always being white hot. With the exception of the fingerpoke and his later WWF runs, I don't think any of these 'bad' title runs were ever considered as bad back in the day.
Of course, I was a kid for most of them. Maybe I'm remembering wrong.

But the thing about Bockwinkel which differentiates from Flair, Bockwinkel was so much better at portraying a heel the fans just outright hated always, while Flair's charisma ultimately would always turn him face because of how the fans inevitably always had to cheer him.
#3's dates are wrong, pal... that reign began on 2 april 1989 (wrestlemania 5) and ended on 1 april 1990 (you guessed it - wrestlemania 6).

People like to complain about WrestleMania IX but after Hogan pinned Yoko the crowd went totally insane!! Seriously, just go back and watch that match and just listen to that crowd reaction!
The worst was when he won it back against Undertaker because he whined that he hurt Hogan when he acually didn't and Undertaker felt bad about it just to try and bury his push.
He won it to promote the idea of weekly ppvs. Taker only won it so Hogan would have somebody to beat for it at This Tuesday in Texas. The whining had nothing to do with business decisions.

I think it is impressive to be able to put a big guy like Nash with just one poke of a finger. But really, it makes sense. Think of it like a bed of nails. You can lie down on a bed of nails all day and you will be fine. All the force of gravity acting on your body is shared by many points of contact so none is enough to break the skin or pierce your body. But try laying down on one nail and you will be in real trouble. Now, all that force is concentrated on one point. Hogan is obviously a physicist in his spare time, and therefore knew if he could concentrate all the force of his 24 inch pythons into an area the size of his finger, it would be a devastating blow to even someone as strong as Nash. And the results speak for themselves. He was right. Nash, on the other hand, is not very learned, and didn't see it coming.

Anybody who says that Hogan shouldn't have won the title after Wrestlemania X-8 wasn't a wrestling fan back then. The dude was so over at that point it was the only thing to do.
It's SO much better than the absolute bullshit that they've gone on to do where they just stick the title on people and keep them on the people no matter what the fans want for inordinate amounts of time.

I remember not seeing WrestleMania 9 live, but the next day on VHS. I remember my friend telling me something "Wait till you see the main event... " He said it with a hint of disgust, ao i was wondering WTF happened. I literally said to myself "What the HELL!?!" when hogan won! Ugh. Horrible.

His 1991 title reign against Undertaker in WWE was rotten. Truth be told, he lied about the Deadman injured him for a Tombstone Piledriver on a chair. His 2002 WWE title run was decent so I'm not going to lie about it
His drama has nothing to do with that title exchange. They wanted to put over the idea of weekly ppvs, that was the whole agenda.

Hogan never put guys over if he thought they were too small.
Imagine that. A wrestling company stripping a championship from someone for too much interference in a title match. This is why Romans current run grinds my gears. He will undoubtedly be the longest reigning heel champ ever. But that’s not a good thing, it’s WWE not caring how dumb they make themselves look. Historically any heel champ that consistently cheated to win would have the playing field leveled for them to lose before too long, or before it became stale. The fact that WWE has done nothing to penalize Roman makes them look incompetent, and makes it that much harder to suspend disbelief that this is an actual sport competition. Just because Jimmy turned on Jay doesn’t mean it’s fresh, it’s the same finish we’ve been seeing for years now and it’s been old for far too long. Heyman states they were in the bottom of the 3rd with this storyline. I can’t imagine this going 6 more years and people staying into it. I’m amazed more people don’t see the issue I do.

My opinion that finger poke of doom wasn't only a joke but it was disrespectful to any wrestler that ever won the WCW world championship yes Kevin Nash went with it to but i really think Hogan was the main one to push for it no it ajnt as bad as when WCW let a B rated actor David Arquette win the WCW Championship but for Nash an Hogans finger poke of doom was pathetic
I'd say his WM 9 title reign and the Fingerpoke of Doom reign were the worst and the most senseless. There was also no reason to put the WCW strap on Hogan right away when he entered the WCW. The WCW could have booked a 6 month angle that lead to Hogan gaining the victory there.
Hogan's '84-'88 title reign was his best and most important for obvious reasons. Also his first NWO title reign was important because they cemented the legitimacy of the NWO.... and I'd say this was his 2nd most important title reign. I'd actually say his first WCW title reign was his Third most important, even though the WCW did that one wrong. Then Hogan's 4th most important title reign was his WM7 1991 title reign because of the angle that had been built up, but I'd narrowly place this above his WM5-WM6 reign.
An No! I don't think Hogan should have ever lost the title to the Warrior. I liked the Ultimate Warrior but i'd say he wasn't properly developed.
